Chapter 4

Sleepy

"Here, use this," I shut my eyes.

"Thanks," I let out a force smile as I opened my eyes again. He just nod and walked out of the room. I looked at the jogging pants that he let me borrow to me. I don't have other choice but to wear it. I can't sleep comfortably when I'm not wearing any jogging pants when sleeping. I hate that habit! I sniffed on it and it smells so manly. I slapped my face.

"Your creepy Zaiah! You never have done that!" I scolded myself before wearing the pants.

So, we really have nothing to do but to crashed here for tonight. I left my notebook at the apartment. Aish! I need to learn Japanese language. Maybe I can only do that on my phone.

"Do you need anything else?" Leomont asked. Ruki and I shook our heads. We're now at the living room of his friend's house.

"Oh, I almost forgot to introduce my friends," Leomont said. Ruki shifted on her seat and placed a throw pillow on her lap.

"This is Khario.." he pointed at the snobber guy. I rolled my eyes at him, Khario just smirk, "and this is Tobi, the owner of this guest house," it's the innocent guy earlier. Oh, so he owned this fantastic house, huh? I smiled at him, and so was him.

"Would you mind.. introduced yourself to us?" Tobi uttered. My lips parted before nodding.

"I'm Alexa and this is Ruki, my friend," Ruki waved her hands to them.

"I'm pure Japanese," my lips curled when Tobi giggled.

"I am too!" he exclaimed. I scoffed and played with the hem of my shirt. Minutes later, I yawned. I startled when Leomont suddenly stood up and neared me. He kneeled and looked at me.

"Are you sleepy? There's your room," he pointed at the third room in the hallway.

I poked Ruki's shoulder. She looked at me and let out a questioning look.

"I'm feeling sleepy already. I'll go to bed now," her mouth formed into 'O' befkre she nodded.

"You're not going to sleep now? It's already late," I said.

"It's just a few talks. Go and sleep," I sighed before standing up.

We are at the second floor of the guest house. The place was a bit big yet it looks fancy. I thought, how much would this place cost if it will be sell?

I told Leomont that I can go to my room by myself but he insisted so I just let him, he's just a pushover.

"Thanks for tonight's help. And.. sorry for the way I treated you a few hours ago. I know it's so mean but-"

"It's okay, it's okay. Just sleep, alright? Goodnight!" I nodded before slowly closing the door. I sighed and leaned at the back of the door. I turned on the lights, right beside the door. My lips parted when the place was to accomodating! I ran towards the bed and jumped over it. Omo, it's so soft!

Is it a water bed or what? It was so good too! I took out my phone when I forgot to call my family.

"Zaiah! How are you there? Are you going well?" my mother asked. I chuckled. I already told them to speak in Tagalog but they said they want it this way, where they speak in english.

"Yeah, I'm fine here. I'm still learning Japanese," I sighed. I smiled when I saw my little brother on the screen.

"Jeuz! How are you, huh? Do you already have your girlfriend?" I teased him. He pouted.

"Of course he doesn't have one! He doesn't even know how to court a woman!" we all laughed except for my brother.

"Zaiah, I want a nike shoes.." my brother said all of a sudden. My smile faded and chuckled.

I tried to avoid myself from sighing. I smiled sadly at my brother.

"Aeron.. not now okay? I'm still budgeting my money. Rent fee here are not a joke. All in here are expensive.. so try to consider our situation first okay?" I calmly said. But he just tsked and left in front of the camera. I sighed and held my forehead. My parents were shocked with Aeron's sudden behavior.

"Wait for me Zaiah, I'll just talk to your brother," father said.

"Daddy-" mother cut me off.

"Zaiah, do you already have your boyfriend there?" my eyes widened at that and almost choked with my own saliva.

I awkwardly chuckled and scratched the back of my head.

"That's not what I went through here. And besides, I'm still young!" I ranted. My mother grinned.

"Just tell me whether you already have one, understand?" I nodded.

The call lasted for about half an hour and after that, I just fell off to sleep because of the sleepiness.
