"Gracias, Lily. Te veo pronto." I said while waving at her. Lily's a friend of mine here in Barcelona, she has a clothing shop near my apartment so we became close. (Thanks, Lily. See you soon.) I went into her shop and bought a scarf because of my Mom's birthda—speaking of Mom, she's calling. I come in at my apartment first before answering Mom's call. ["Anak! Are you busy? Na-cancel mo na ba lahat ng appointments mo?"] Huh? Napakunot ako ng noo, why would I cancel all of my appointments? "Hindi ako busy, Mom. But what do you mean by canceling my appointments?" I heard her take a deep breath before speaking. ["You really aren't going home, anak? Miss ka na namin ng daddy mo. Pero if you still can't, we understand. Bye, I love you."] I sighed when Mom hung the phone up. I'm just asking! Uuwi naman ako for her birthday. I don't have to cancel those appointments because I resigned already. I went straight to my room para mag-ayos ng gamit. Tomorrow is my flight, I'm finally going back to the Philippines. I was in the middle of zipping my luggage when I heard my phone ring. Second caller for this morning. ["Hi, babe. Good morning!"] Hearing his voice made me smile. Geez, this guy. "Buenos días, babe! Bakit ka napatawag?" I said while placing my luggage beside my bed. ["Am I not allowed to call my babe? Tsk. Nakakatampo."] I can imagine his face with his pouty lips pft. "I'm just asking, babe. By the way, nakapag-impake ka na? Tomorrow is our flight, don't forget about it!" As if, Naiah. I'm one hundred and one percent sure that I have to wake him up early in the morning.  ["Mukhang excited na babe ko ah? Is it because—"] Before he could utter nonsense words, I cut him off. "Of course, I'm excited. It's my Mom's birthday, remember?" My eyes rolled heavenward as I heard his laugh. ["Alright, babe. Sabi mo eh pft."] He said while suppressing his laugh. "Whatever, babe. Bye na, aayusin ko pa 'yung gallery ko." I said and hung up the call. I laughed at that thought. I'll miss this small yet calming place of mine. This is my haven. Saksi ang lugar na 'to sa hardships, sleepless nights, those tears I shed, and those heartaches I felt as I try to move on from the past. And I'm proud to say that I did. I ate my dinner and took a bath bago ako pumasok sa kwarto. After the call, I immediately opened my laptop and asked my friend s***h assistant about sa pinapagawa kong art gallery. I've been into painting since I was a kid until now and I'm glad that my parents supported me wholeheartedly. So far, so good. I just hope it'll be successful. 'Uhm, Naiah. I think you need to know this, Tita also hired someone to introduce our gallery to people using their songs. It's fine with you, right?' "Yeah, it's fine. But you said 'someone' pero bakit 'their song'?" I replied to her. 'He's from a band. Specifically, ArBand.' Hmm, interesting.
