ANNIKA'S POV
“Where have you been? I've been looking for you everywhere...I was worried,” Caspian whispered as he hugged me tight.
His voice was full of concern, however, it only added to the pain I felt. His guilt made the pain and betrayal I felt even more defined. How odd that the warmth from his hug couldn't even comfort me now.
I know I should be more understanding about this matter, but I just can't. Juliette needed him. She lost consciousness, yes. But was it enough reason for him to just leave me there? Or forget about me?
