ANNIKA'S POV
“What happened to you, Annika? Is everything alright?” Jade asked as soon as she opened her door to let me in. Her voice was filled with worry and concern.
Instead of saying anything, I flung myself unto her and hugged her tight. Hot tears began rolling down my cheeks as I recalled what happened earlier... how Caspian left me because Juliette tried to kill herself. I don't know what to do anymore. I sobbed loudly on her shoulders, letting everything out of my heart as if it was the only way to take the pain away.
I didn't want to spoil her night, but I just needed someone to talk to at the moment. Everything is weighing down on my heart, and it feels like something so heavy is crushing my heart. It feels as though my heart would burst any moment from now.
