Chapter 17

I was busy preparing myself to meet up with his friends. Naalala ko kasi nung panahon na kami ni Joshua ay hindi niya ako pinapakilala sa mga friends niya. I was a bit hurt because why couldn't he show me off to anyone? Thank God I realized my worth. That man doesn't deserve me even a second chance. 

Naramdaman ko na may pumulupot na malaking braso sa bewang ko. Pinapaliguan niya ako ng halik sa leeg. Bumungisngis ako dahil nakikiliti ako sa pagdampi ng halik ni Lynch sa leeg ko. Hinarap ko siya at pinulupot ko yung kamay ko sa leeg niya. 

"You look so stunning, Gwen," he said, softly. "I can't wait to introduce you to my friends and they've been excited to meet you ever since I told them I'm engaged."

"Do you think we will last longer? I mean... our engagement is purely business, right?"

"I've never think of our engagement as a business. The moment I met you, you take my breath away. That's why I bring you to my condo unit."

I giggled. "Have I ever told you that you're the sweetest man I knew?"

He shook his head. "No, you haven't."

Tumingkayad ako para bigyan siya ng halik. Ang sarap sa ganitong pakiramdam. When Lynch came into my life... he's like the sunshine from my darkness world. This is so unlikely to me. I have never been this affectionate to any men before aside from Joshua. Kaya napatigil ako nung naghiwalay kami. Matagal siya napatitig sa mata ko.

"Thank you for seducing me at the bar," he muttered. Mahina ako natawa habang umiiling. Wala ako naalala na nilandi ko siya sa bar no'n. "If you didn't flirt me at that time... I wouldn't be this happy everytime I'm with you."

I smiled. "Either way... the universe will still let our soul meet. Because your mother wants you to arrange with me."

"And I wouldn't even think a second and I will gladly ask for your hand, sweetheart."

"I didn't know that you're such a poetic man, Lynch."

"You made me poetic. You've made my life colorful in a full of black and white."

I let out a sheepishly giggle. "Oh, Lynch... are we still going to your company and meet your friends?"

"Just being with you makes me happy. I'm deeply sorry." napangiti siya at lumayo na kami sa isa't-isa. Bakit ganito yung pakiramdam ko? Ang saya ko ngayon at wala ako iniisip na iba. Dahil lahat 'yun kay Lynch. "Simulan na natin umalis baka ikulong nalang kita rito sa pad mo."

I chortled. "Naughty."

"You'll see," he said, grinning.

Naglakad na kami paalis ng pad ko at papunta na kami sa kompanya ni Lynch. Ngayon ay hindi ko maintindihan kung ano klaseng pakiramdam ito. Pamilyar naman ako pero natatakot ako. Kasi natauhan talaga ako sa nangyari sa akin.

I'm so f*****g scared to even commit a relationships.

And I have other agenda, hence, I marry the bachelor in town. The heir of Scott family.

I was quite throughout the ride with Lynch. Pero hindi naman masyado nagsalita si Lynch dahil nagmamaneho naman siya masaya. Nakikita ko nga na may gusto siya sa akin at nararamdaman ko na may feelings siya sa akin. Sa tuwing nakikita ko siya sumusulyap sa akin, halos mapunit na ang mukha niya kakangiti. At ako naman ay nagugustuhan ko makita siyang nakangiti.

"We're finally here," he snapped. "You seems pre-occupied, sweetheart."

I bit my bottom lips. "I was just thinking about you."

Until I realized what I've said. Did I just said that naturally? Napalunok ako at iniwas ko yung tingin ko sa kaniya. Alam ko na namumula nanaman ang pisnge ko. Nakakainis naman.

"I'm a man but you're making me kilig," he said while smiling at me. "Stop it. You're making me crazy about you so damn much."

"I'm sorry..." nauna na ako bumaba dahil nahihiya na ako kay Lynch. Hinawakan ko yung labi ko dahil nakangiti rin ako. Bakit ang cute kanina ni Lynch? Parang hindi siya Lynch na kilala ng mga tao.

Nang makita ko siya sa gilid ko naglakad na kami papasok. Binabati siya ng mga tauhan at bumabati naman siya pabalik. Tapos nakita ko na nakipag-apiran pa siya sa isang guwardiya. Mukhang close niya lahat ang mga tao rito. Binati rin nila ako pero tinatanguan ko lang sila.

Nang makapasok kami sa elevator. Lumapit siya sa akin at naramdaman ko yung magaspang na kamay ni Lynch. Pinagsiklop niya yung kamay namin dalawa. Matagal ako napatitig sa kamay namin. I must admit... our hands looks perfectly fit together.

"I just want to show them who's my woman," he said.

"Show it, then," I replied.

"Gladly, sweetheart..."

We heard the elevator dinged. We went out from the elevator and every employee were greeting him. Hindi niya binibitawan ang kamay ko. He's showing me off to anyone, to let them know that I'm his.

May isang babae na tumayo mula sa desk niya. Malaki yung ngiti niya hanggang sa napawi 'yun nang makita niya ako. Nanliit tuloy yung mata ko at tinataasan siya ng kilay. Mukhang may gusto ito kay Lynch, ah?

"Good morning, Mr. Scott," the secretary greeted.

"Morning, Ellisa. Tell me my schedule inside," si Lynch at pumasok na kaming dalawa sa loob. Ako na ang bumitaw sa kamay namin at nakita ko na nakasunod sa amin si Ellisa.

Pinagmamasdan ko yung kabuuan ni Ellisa. Morena siya at matangkad pero mas maganda ako. She's wearing a peach shade lipstick. Ugh, anong klaseng kulay 'yan?

"W-Who is she, Mr. Scott?" Ellisa inquired.

My eyebrow arched upon her question. Naglakad ako palapit kay Lynch at pinatong ko yung kamay ko sa balikat ni Lynch. Anong klaseng sekretarya 'yan? Bakit kailangan tanungin kung sino ako?

May gano'n?

"Oh, she's my fiance, Ellisa. I want you to meet Gwen Dawson," Lynch started.

Napangisi ako dahil alam ko na hindi tunay na ngiti ang pinapakita niya sa akin. I have really this guts that b***h hate me. And I don't care.

"Nice to meet you, Gwen," si Ellisa.

I smirked. "Kindly address me as Dr. Dawson for you Ellisa."

Namutla si Ellisa sa sinabi ko. Sino ba hindi maiinis? She just called me Gwen! Kung ako lang ang CEO sa kompanya na ito ay pinatalsik ko na siya dahil hindi siya marunong rumespeto. Kainis.

"I'm sorry Dr. Dawson. I'm Elli―"

I raised my hand to refrain her from talking. Good thing she zipped her mouth. I don't want to listen to her. I just don't care even she's the secretary of my fiance but I don't like the way she looks at Lynch. I am very much possessive of what's mine. Dahil masyado akong pabaya sa nakaraan ko― not this time.

"Just hush. Present to him his schedule for this day and you may get out," I said. Pinagkrus ko yung kamay ko sa dibdib. Nakita ko sa gilid ng mata ko na pinipigilan ni Lynch na ngumiti. "We're waiting, Miss Secretary."

"O-Oh, right. I'm sorry Dr. Dawson," si Ellisha habang nauutal. Tumikhim siya at binuklat niya yung maliit na notebook na dala niya. "You have a meeting Mr. Albarron after lunch."

"Is that all, Ellisha?" si Lynch. Nilingon ko siya at binigyan ko siya ng masamang tingin. "Okay. Just get me a black coffee."

"Okay, Mr. Scott." tumalikod na si Ellisha at napairap ako sa hangin.

"You're jealous with my secretary?" Lynch asked.

"I'm not. I'm beautiful than her," I replied, in exasperated tone. "Ganito ba kayo ng sekretarya mo? Just calling by your names?"

"She has a name, sweetheart."

I rolled my eyes. "I don't care about her name. You're just too informal to your secretary. Maybe she's thinking more of you."

"Don't be jealous. I'm all yours and I can assure you of that."

I protruded my lips. "Whatever. I just hate her."

"Why do you hate her? She's the best secretary I have."

"Eww," I hissed. "Best secretary my ass."

Napasinghap ako nung biglang pinalo ni Lynch yung puwitan ko. Namimilog ang mga mata ko. Ginawa ba talaga ni Lynch 'yun sa akin? Narinig ko siya na humahalakhak sa swivel chair niya. Tinutukso ba ako nito?

"Nice ass," he commented.

"Ha-ha! Very funny."

Ilang segundo lumipas ay bumalik na ulit si Ellisa na may bitbit na kape ni Lynch. Malaki pa ang ngiti niya habang binibigay niya 'yun kay Lynch. Napairap ako sa hangin.

"Can you get me something too?" I exclaimed.

Napalingon sa akin si Ellisa. Nawala nanaman yung matamis niyang ngiti. "W-What's yours Dr. Dawson?"

I was feigning that I'm thinking of something beverage. Until I snapped my fingers and gave her the smile.

"I want a coffee too. The black one please," I said.

"O-Okay. Coming up, Dr. Dawson," she replied. Mabilis siya tumalikod at lumabas ulit sa opisina ni Lynch.

"What are you planning?" si Lynch habang hinihipan yung mainit niyang kape. Inirapan ko siya at umupo sa sofa para hintayin yung inuutos ko kay Ellisa.

"Nothing. I just need a coffee."

"You're my woman. She's just my secretary. Don't be jealous, sweetheart," malambing na usal nito. Humaba yung nguso ko at binuklat ko nalang yung magazine sa gilid para tumingin.

"Here's your coffee..." narinig kong boses ni Ellisa. Tiningnan ko pa yung kape na ginawa niya.

"Oh, I just remembered that I hate black coffee. Kindly put some cream for me please."

"What?" namilog mata niya.

"Do you want me to repeat what I've said?"

She gulped and she shook her head. "No. I'll just put your coffee a cream."

"Thank you," I said, with a fake smile.

Tiningnan ako ni Lynch ngayon. Nagkibit balikat nalang ako. Pinagkrus ko yung binti ko habang tumitingin ng mga bikini sa magazine. Hanggang sa nakita ko nanaman si Ellisa. Nakita ko pang pawisan siya. Binaba ko yung magazine at tiningnan ko yung kape na ginawa niya sa akin.

"Your coffee," Ellisa said.

"I think I forgot that I want an iced coffee. Just get rid of that. Buy me an iced coffee at starbucks please," I replied, smirking.

Her smile faded from her lips. I gave her my taunting smile to tease her a little bit. Bumuntong hininga siya at lumabas ulit. Napahalakhak ako dahil hindi ko na mapigilan ang sarili ko. Kung nakikita niyo lang kung ano ang reaksyon niya ay matatawa kayo. Para siyang binagsakan ng langit.

"That's suffice, sweetheart. Huwag mo na siya parusahan," ani Lynch.

My lips twitched. "Sige pagtanggol mo pa si Ellisa. Papahirapan ko talaga siya."

"I love you, sweetheart..."

I rolled my eyes. "Huwag mo 'ko daanin sa ganiyan, Lynch."

"Nilalambing lang kita. Ang init ng dugo mo kay Ellisa."

"Can you please call her by her surname? You're making me mad," I scoffed.

"I'm sorry," he said. "I'll address her properly later. Let me do my job for now. Stop sulking there, sweetheart."

I grunted. "I'm not sulking."

"You are..."

Hindi ko na siya pinansin. Tsaka ayaw ko naman siya istorbohin sa kaniyang ginagawa. Hindi rin naman nagtagal ay dumating na si Ellisa. May isang iced coffee siyang dala at sinunod niya nga yung gusto ko. Kinuha ko 'yun mula sa kaniya at ininom.

"Thank you," I said, smiling. "You must do your job now, Miss Secretary."

"You're welcome, Dr. Dawson," she replied. Tapos nilingon niya si Lynch at nilapitan niya ito. Tahimik ko sila pinapanood habang iniinom yung iced coffee ko. "Mr. Gregorio wants me give you the sales report within this month."

"Hmm... where is the sales report, then?" si Lynch.

"Here, Mr. Scott." binigay ni Ellisa yung mga papeles kay Lynch. Seryoso naman binabasa 'yun ni Lynch isa isa. Ang hot niya naman tingnan kapag seryoso siya sa ginagawa niya. "And I want you to sign this from the finance department."

"Okay. Is that all, Miss Gutierrez?" Lynch asked in a formal tone.

Napalunok si Ellisa. "Yes, Mr. Scott."

"You may now go back to your place, Miss Gutierrez."

Tumango si Ellisa. Bago siya lumabas sa opisina ni Lynch ay dinapuan niya ako ng isang tingin. Syempre tiningnan ko rin siya. Bakit naman ako magpapatalo sa isang 'yun?

"You're happy now?" ani Lynch.

"Satisfied."
