Chapter Twelve
It was almost two o'clock in the afternoon. Nicole just woke up for that long sleep. She doesn't remembered what time she fall sleep last night? She also can't remembered how she got home. She massaged her head, its quit heavy and pain. Did she has a hangover? But she can't remembered that she got drunk last night. She just drink one can of beer, that's all.
"How's your sleep?" JongHyeop asked.
Nicole looked at him.
"Uhm...well my head is in pain," she complained. While massaging it."
" I cooked some soup." He said. "Come and have a drink while still hot," he said inviting her the the kitchen.
"Did you bother to cooked?" Nicole asked.
"Yup!" He replied. "I know you'll be having a slight head pain."
"How did you know?"
"Well, the truth is you are drunk again last night." JongHyeop said while scooping her a soup in a bowl. He was slowly putting it because it was quit hot. She can see the smoke on the pot.
"So, how many beer did I drink?" She asked being shy. Nicole sat down at the kitchen chair. She watched JongHyeop to do his work. He was serving her with a hot pot of soup.
"You cannot remember?" JongHyeop asked back. He put slowly the hot soup infront of her.
"Nope." She replied shaking her head.
"Because you are drunk that's why you cannot remembered it."
"Are you angry?" Nicole asked him with a high - brows.
"You shouldn't drink to much?" JongHyeop said preaching her.
"What's the matter? Is there any problem with me? Why got so concerned?" Nicole said being annoys.
"Yes. Because you forgot who I am" JongHyeop said.
Nicole looked at JongHyeop being confused. "Did I?" She said scooping the soup infront of her. She make a slowly sip on her spoon.
"Careful it's hot!" JongHyeop shouted snatching the spoon to her.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"You didn't blow the soup," JongHyeop said being concerned.
Nicole shakes her head.
"Are you serious? I'm not a baby, okay." She said being pissed. "And by the way, what are you doing here? Why are you not at the coffee shop?" She asked.
"I just got home. I know you are going to wake up soon. So, I quickly rushed back to cooked for you." He explained.
"Did Ami knows it?" Nicole asked in a soft voice.
"Yes, I told her." JongHyeop replied.
Nicole tried again the soup and this time she blow it already. Well actually it was so tasty. Nicole wondering why this devil can cook too. Maybe, JongHyeop was a Chief in his past life. Nicole said in her thoughts. She finished the soup JongHyeop gave her. Maybe, because she was hungry too after that long nap she takes.
"Thank you for the tasty soup." Nicole said to JongHyeop being polite this time.
But instead JongHyeop replied at he with a nice way, he was already preaching her again.
"Stop drinking anymore. I don't want to see you got drunk again." He said in a firmed tune. "Drinking till you got drunk won't help you survive. It won't help you with your life."
"Did I make you pissed?" Nicole asked in confusion. "I just got drunk to forget you. To forget who are you? And why are you are here? I just wanted to scape by being trap in your mission." She shouted back explaining her side.
JongHyeop stared at Nicole.
"You better don't fall inlove with me." He said with a warn.
"What?" She shouted in disbelief. "Are you crazy?" Nicole said.
"Why should I fall inlove with you? Why should I, huh?"
"Remember I'm a devil." JongHyeop said again reminding her.
"Do you need to say that on my face?" Nicole said being pissed.
"Well, I'm just being concern. I'm just being concern about you." JongHyeop said seriously.
"Nonsense!" Nicole shout. " By the way, you are not my type!" She denied. Actually, her heart is thumping crazy again. Gosh! This Devil is something. Maybe, she need a spell to bring him to hell again.
"Did you not remembered what happened last night?" JongHyeop asked.
"I can't remember, okay." Nicole answered being shy.
"You can't remembered what happened last night. What did you do last night?" JongHyeop asked to confirm.
"No. I don't." Nicole replied being confused this time.
"Do you want me to tell you? Do you want to know?" JongHyeop said.
"What?" Nicole said. "Stop the suspense, okay? Just spill it." She said rolling her eyes.
"Well, last night while you are dancing. I can't stop myself from watching you. I watched you dance." JongHyeop started. "And well, you look so beautiful while dancing gracefully." He explained.
Nicole suddenly feel hot. Her cheeks for sure are getting red. She knows she was blushing.
Her face feel like a hot fresh bake pancake. "So?" She replied trying to be cool even she felt a little bit shy. "What's wrong If I danced gracefully in front of you?"
"There's nothing wrong with that. I really love how you dance. The way you move, it was so sexy." JongHyeop said teasing her.
"Oh, so you like to watch me dance? Did you enjoy watching me?" Nicole teased him back.
"Well, the truth is, all I can say was so perfect." JongHyeop said with a winked. Then he laughed too.
"What? What's so funny?" Nicole said controlling herself to smack the hell out of him.
"Nothing." JongHyeop said shaking his head. "Well, you are blushing. Your so cute when you're shy."
Nicole frowned at him. How come this devil play a tricked at her. Nicole got being confused again if what she did last night? Did she was already confessed at him? Did she already said he like him? Well, that's impossible. Nicole said in her thoughts. I can't do that. Beside, I was born to be his enemy. She said in her mind while shaking her head. "Well, I also can't remembered how I come home last night?" She said changing their topics. "And how about Ami? What happened to her last night too?" She asked.
"Ami was fine. She didn't drink to much." JongHyeop replied. "But you, you are drunk again. So I need to carry you back home."
"What?" She said in disbelief. "How come? I can't remembered it?"
"Well you know yourself? You know that you can't hold your drink's. And while you are drinking, you was also keep on dancing, twirling that's why you got drunk easily." JongHyeop explained.
"Did I knocked down last night?" She asked being shy.
"Yes." JongHyeop replied with a nod.
"Did I make you mad? Did I said something weird?" Nicole asked just to be sure if she didn't do any more mistakes.
"You're crying." JongHyeop said honestly. "When I put you to bed. You grabbed my hand and said don't leave me, please. Stay with me while you are sobbing."
"Did I do that?" She said being shy.
"Yup." He responded.
"Is there more?" Nicole asked mumbling. Her voice suddenly changed, it was soft. And
she can't believed herself that she cried in front of him. Why did I cry? What's wrong with me last night? She asked herself in disbelief.
"Well, the confrontation you kept on telling me. It makes me confused too." JongHyeop said while staring at her.
Nicole suddenly freezed. Those eyes again. It was shining like a sun. It was so hot that her heart beating fast. It was sunshine and so addictive. "Like what?" She replied in pouty lips trying to hide her cheeky feelings.
"Well, you asked me so many what if? And you are being concerned about me too. That what will happen to me if you won't die in thirty days? What will happened next. And then you cried. You cries out your pain." JongHyeop said patting her back.
Nicole swallowed her saliva. Her throat suddenly felt dry.
"Wa...what's wrong being concerned?" She said."It's normal right?"
JongHyeop lifted Nicole face true her chin. They both makes an eye contact. Nicole tried to turned her face away but JongHyeop stopped her by doing it. "I don't want you to die." He said honestly and seriously.
Nicole heart is thumping crazy and wild again. "I...I won't die." she replied still not looking at his eyes. JongHyeop warm hand make Nicole more nervous. She doesn't know what to do. Nicole can't focus. But those eyes was telling her to trust him and believe him.
"Live." JongHyeop said.
"I...I will." She replied in a tiny voice.
JongHyeop face was getting closer. Nicole waited. She knows JongHyeop wanted to kiss her.
Nicole trembled. Her hands started to shiver. She wanted to move away but she can't. Her body doesn't response at all. Her brain is not functioning too. She's not in herself anymore. She wanted to be kiss by JongHyeop too. She wanted it because she already started to like him. She was already have a feelings with this handsome devil.
