Chapter 31: Threaten

As I watch Resonance glow in the dark, all I think about is how Nine defeated just like that. Of all, si Samantha pa ang may kagagawan nito.

"That is not Samantha," sabi sa akin ni Resonance habang naggo-glow sa dilim.

"Who is it? If it's not Samantha, tell me who is it," naiiyak na tanong ko sa kanya.

Nine helped us a lot at ang matalo lang siya ng ganun ay isang malaking palaisipan sa akin. Samantha is a deathdealer. Imposibleng matalo lang siya ng ganun.

"I felt her," sagot niya sa akin.

"Her? Who?"

"Death," sagot niya sa akin. "The one that Nine is supposed to serve but she betrayed her and so she bestowed Nine her wrath," sagot niya sa akin.

Nalito ako sa sinabi niya.

"What are you trying to say, Resonance?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Nine has been with me right before that snake escaped from her prison.

"Nine is the Snake's name and the Nine you knew is Seven. Seven is the one Nine sent to spy us. She made you defeat the monster created inside your body which is Apollyon's sole reason to be connected with you," aniya pa. "The real Nine is the death herself and the Seven is just her spy. But Seven betrayed her by choosing your side," sagot ni Resonance.

Seven? Nine's real name is Seven? And the real Nine is Death?

"Do you understand the betrayal that Seven committed, Green? There's no wonder why Death herself visited your castle with you knowing. Samantha has been long dead before you set on a journey. Death has been with you and probably laughing at your desperates move to defeat her," aniya pa.

"She can copy anyone's appearance?"

"Yes and she can also create anyone if she likes too," aniya.

"If you know that we are with fake Samantha, why didn't you tell us?" nakaramdam ako ng bahagyang inis kay Resonance. Seven or Nine, she is still my friend as she gives us a lot of information.

"That is something I am forbidden to say. Everything is already in order. Nine also defeated me and put my soul in this sword. She owns me. She could easily take me away from you but she never did," aniya. "Which means."

"Which means what?"

"Which means she's looking forward to facing you," aniya pa.

Nakaramdam ako ng bahagyang takot sa sinabi. When Death touched my chest, I felt her finger twisted and she already had my soul in her fingers. I couldn't even forget the red eyes and the black slit of her pupils. Her eyes resemble a snake's eyes.

How can I defeat someone whose strength is yet to be seen? If she defeats Seven just by simple punching and kicking, she's stronger than I thought.

"And there will be no way for me to defeat her Murasame," aniya pa.

"Murasame? Who is that?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Her scythe," sagot niya.

"She has that?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Yes she has but she rarely uses it," sagot niya sa akin.

"How strong is it?" tanong ko sa kanya.

I don't doubt Resonance's power and ability. For me, he is the best thinking he already served the former Eves before me.

"I haven't seen her using it. But according to what I have heard, murasame can cut a planet as well as space. But that was only humour. Considering it is wielded by Death herself. It must be stronger than me. It is one of a kind not even can compare to Elohim's sword and Sin's Spear. Though neither of them have I ever seen," sagot niya sa akin.

"If I fight her, do you think I can have a chance to win?" tanong ko sa kanya, wishful thinking.

Uming ito.

"Not a chance. You will face her minion first before you are able to face her. One of her minions has Scar, my brother who was like me, a sword," aniya. "You already met her once. Remember the one who created the dimension?" tanong niya.

"Her?" tanong ko. Naaalala ko iyon. Seven pulled me out of that dimension before that woman sank her teeth on me.

"Yes. Apparently, she is one of the strongest in Death's team. And like you, she's the first of her kind. And the one who ruled the shadows that dwells at night in other words, vampires but more vicious than your kind. This is the kind that only listens to their leader," aniya pa.

"Why is she doing this? Why does she hate us? I never did anything wrong to her. Why can't she let us live?" tanong ko sa kanya hopeless.

"Maybe because your kind was supposed to be extinct. Not to mention she was locked up by your creator. The earth must be for humans only. And she only listens to the world of her Lord. Humans are supposedly the only creatures that should live here," sagot niya. "Death made sure of that before she went into her deep slumber," aniya pa. "She acts according to the order she was given to her," aniya pa.

"Order? What order?" naguguluhang tanong ko sa kanya. I don't know what really is happening. Once upon a time I was a human and then I became a vampire, protecting my people against the Demon King.I was living with my husband Keenan who fought my creator until death but suddenly I learned that he wasn't dead at all. Plus he committed a grave mistake, imprisoning Death and destroying the domain which she owned.

Apollyon clearly left us for Death's wrath. The only question that is still in my mind is, where is he now? Neither Raven, Causian and Hera knew where he was.

"Judgement," sagot nito sa akin. .

"Judgement, what?"

"A Judgement is the process of wiping everything that isn't needed. All the Lord's imprisoned warriors will be free and will only answer to Death's command. These warriors will target everyone that is under the Judgement," sagot niya sa akin.

"You mean exterminating everyone?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Excluding humans and the Khisians. Those who believe that they are Gods and the unwanted inhabitants are considered as included. This is not just the simple Titan war before or Ragnarok. This is much bigger than any of those. Judgement day is the nightmare of everyone including Sin and Elohim," sagot niya sa akin.

This is bigger than we thought.

"Before the Judgement arrives, you can hear a warning bell. It will always start with one ring. And when you hear the seven rings, the Judgement will start. And you can see creatures you have never seen before. Brace yourself and your people. The enemies will strike anytime," aniya.

"Green!" narinig kong tawag ni Hera sa akin.

Ibinalik ko sa pagiging singsing si Resonance at saka nagmamadaling lumabas ng aming silid ni Keenan. Nadatnan ko sa labas si Hera at si Raven. Causian isn't here since he is bound to give birthday today.

"What is it?" tanong ko sa kanila.

"The titans are freed! This shouldn't be happening!" galit na galit na sabi niya. "Where is Nine?" tanong pa nito, obviously gusto nitong magtanong sa mga nangyayari.

"Gone," sagot ko sa kanya.

"Gone what? She went out or something?" aniya.

"Dead. She has been killed," sagot ko sa kanila na nanghihinang napaupo.

"What!?" gulat na gulat na tanong ng dalawa.

"How? She's strong! Who could have killed her?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Raven.

Napabuntonh-hininga ako.

"Her," sagot ko.

"Who?"

"Nine," sagot ko ulit sa kanila.

"Nine? Are you kidding us? Isn't that her name?" tanong ni Hera.

"Nine's real name is Seven. And the one who owned the Nine name is none other than Death and also known as Jormungandr and seven is her spy," sagot ko sa kanila.

"What!?" muling nanlaki ang mga mata ng dalawa sa aking sinabi.

"So Seven has been spying on us? Is that right?" tanong ni Raven.

"She didn't. She was always in our side," sagot ko sa kanya.

"But it doesn't change the fact that she is a spy," ani ni Hera na napaupo na rin.

"Yes. Because she sided with us, she was killed by none other than Nine herself," sabi ko sa kanila.

"Y-you witness it?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Hera. "Did you see her?"

Umiling ako.

"She copied Samantha and went with us to Celestia," sagot ko. "The only thing that I remember about her is her two red and slit eyes. She touched me and managed to almost take out my soul. If it wasn't for Keenan I would probably be dead by now," sagot ko sa kanila.

I remember the feeling of the soul being taken away from your body. It felt like it was so hard to breathe and my strength was gone.

"She didn't even use power to kill Seven. She just made a few punches and kicks. And then Seven's body was laying down in the part of the sea that was divided by the force when Nine kicked her down to the sea. Keenan and I took it as a chance to escape before Nine would notice us," dagdag ko pa.

Hindi nakaimik ang dalawa.

"Could it be that she's behind the murder of the Moon Goddess?" tanong ni Raven.

"Or the freeing of my immortal enemy?"

"Death is capable of everything considering she can be labelled to Sin and Elohim," sagot ni Keenan na bigla na lamang lumitaw. "Sin the Dragon of under earth and Elohim is the Phoenix of the Sky. Nine is the Snake in between. She used to be labelled with Seraphim and Satan back then. But she is much better than the other two," dagdag pa niya.

"Are you saying that she is out of our league, Keenan?" inis na tanong ni Hera. I knew humans worshipped her along with the other deities that probably angered the real Creator of everything.

"I'm telling you that even if we gang up against her, our power wouldn't be enough. We're dead just by facing her warriors before we could even reach her," aniya.

"How did you know, Keenan? Did you ever fight her?" tanong nito kay Keenan.

"I don't have to fight her to know her strength, Hera. You can simply tell it just by observing her," sagot nito sa kanya.

A fissure of power suddenly appeared in front of us, three alien looking men suddenly came out from the ball of thunder.

"Greeting everyone," bati nila sa amin.

Nagkatinginan kaming apat.

"Just who the hell are you!?" gulat na tanong ko sa kanila.

The men are incredibly tall, probably the same height as Keenan. They look like us, handsome and everything but what about their outfit? And where on earth they came from.

Everyone tensed up including Keenan ready to pounce if they do something against us.

"Apologies for suddenly coming here without warning. My name is Ein, an Archon from Khestramore and the two men at my back are my Xians. We came here to ask help from you," aniya pa.

Nagkatinginan kami.

"We can talk about that, gentleman," sagot ko sa kanya leading them to one of my private meeting places.

Hindi ko na kailangan pang mag-isip. We need more forces to fight. We'll accept any help that is offered to us.

"As I say, my name is Ein from Khestramore. Death's domain has been reconstructed by her and built as impenetrable as it can be. I seek help and I found out that you are also facing the wrath of her. As soon as I heard about you, Queen of Vampires, Chief of Deities and Queen of werewolves, I made my way here as fast as I could. I'm offering you my help to defeat Death and imprison her back," sabi ni Ein.

"So you are the one that was mentioned by historia. You are the king of Archons aren't you?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"I'm one of the three leaders. I'm not a king, your majesty," magalang na sagot niya sa akin.

"You are the brother of the aether and nether archons, aren't you?" tanong ko pa.

"Yes, you have it right, my queen," sagot nito.

"So where are they? If we need to imprison Death again, we need your sisters," sagot ko sa kanya.

Napabuntong-hininga si Ein.

"That I'm afraid I can't guarantee you to meet them. For both of them are dead," aniya.

Nayanig ang aking mundo sa sinabi ni Ein. If it is true, then how will we ever be supposed to imprison the snake again?
