CHAPTER 8: The work

Nine

"Your anger fills this domain of yours, Jormungandr," sabi sa akin ni Seraphim na siyang bumaba mula sa Elysium to visit me.

"What do you know about my anger? Do you intend to replace your brother's doings huh?" patanong na sagot ko sa kanya. "If I have the permission to kill you now, I would have done it as soon as you step here," sabi ko pa. It was a threat but matter of fact will happen if he indeed pushes me more.

Napabuntong-hininga siya.

"Cherubim has all the reasons. One day if you just open up your eyes, then you'll know it," sagot niya.

"My eyes are all open. I put my trust in your brother, Sera. All of it. I spare him a little bit longer because you begged me to. And then what? Do these things to me? My wrath is yet to be cast upon him as soon as I find him and what the hell are you doing here? Mock my unfortunate?," sagot ko sa kanya habang muling binubuo ang mga legions ng Axis Mundi.

Muli ay napabuntong-hininga ito.

"I came here to discuss the fact that I already deployed a new death. He'll be taking over your job and you shall rest. I was sent here to tell you that by Elohim himself.

That breaks my patience with him.

I snatched his neck, squeezing it tightly while my eyes were glowing red. My snake tattoo moved and it's very angry and agitated to eat this useless son of a b***h in front of me.

"Say it again, stupid celestial. SAY IT AGAIN BEFORE I SWALLOW YOU WHOLE!" sigaw ko sa kanyang mukha. My face is dangerously close to him. And I can see through his eyes that my eyes have already changed into elliptical pupils. The redness is now intense and I could even feel my elongated fangs from my mouth.

"Nine! Wait!" nabakasan ko ng takot ang kanyang mukha.

"I'm starving to death, Seraphim. You will be a good food for me if you do nothing about this, taking my job and making me rest thing you said. I can forget the truce me and Elohim created to protect your sorry ass. Remember, I don't bow to anyone except the Highest Chief alone. I was clearly instructed to balance life and death by my Lord's order and no one shall be an exception, including you. You know me. I don't back down with my words," galit na sabi ko sa kanya.

Fears plastered on his face.

"O-okay, okay," aniya. "I.. I t-tell my L-Lord what you said. S-spare me," nagmamakaawang sabi niya.

I pushed him away from me.

"I'll give you one last chance Seraphim. Do what you said or I swear, you'll be my food tonight," babala ko sa kanya.

As soon as he heard those words from me, he fled like a cowarding pig.

I'm hungry from billions of eons being imprisoned and from the strength that I used to revive my reapers back to life. My domain will be descending back to the place it belongs and the order of life and death will be back soon.

And for those who are living their life as an immortal, they can kiss goodbye to their immortality.

A crippled of thunder and clothes suddenly appeared in front of me.

"Mistress, greetings," bati ni Violet habang bitbit ang nakagapos at nakabusal na bibig na Celestial. "Here's the celestial you wanted to meet, mistress," aniya pa.

"Well done, Vio. You never failed me," sabi ko sa kanya before squatting in front of this stupid and traitor b***h I have imprisoned in my Abyss.

Fear is her eyes visible because why not? She probably witness and experienced the kind of torture inside the Abyss.

"We've meet again," sabi ko sa kanya before I pull her hair to look at me closely. "Care to tell who freed you?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"N-no one!" pasigaw na sagot niya sa akin.

Violet was about to slap her but I stopped her.

"We don't want my food to be spoiled, right?" nakangiting sabi ko sa kanya.

"My apologise, mistress," sagot niya sa akin. Her black eyes told me that she's regretting her supposed move.

"It's okay, Vio. No harm done," sagot ko sa kanya bago muling binigyang pansin ang babaeng nasa harapan ko. "And you," sabi ko sabay hawak sa kanyang baba at tinignan ng magkabilang bahagi ng kanyang mukha. "You will be a better food for me," sabi ko pa before squeezing her chin using my fingers until the tip of finger nails penetrate in her flesh creating an open wound.

Henna struggled but to no avail, she could not even escape from my grasp. From my nails, black liquid slowly entered her wounds which made her struggle more.

"Shhh, don't move darling. This will be a little bit painful. My venom will destroy the barrier from your body that prevents me from killing you. And when it completely dissolves, you will serve it on the platter for me," sabi ko as I hear the growl of my own stomach reminding me to eat soon.

Nakita kong nanlalaki ang mga mata ni Henna.

"P-please don't," pakiusap niya as I feel her trembling in fear.

"Care to tell me why you helped the bastard to build a dimension that defies Time?" tanong ko sa kanya.

She's too afraid to even speak to me. Maybe, something happened inside Abyss that made her tremble in fear.

"Oh, why are you afraid?" Do you hate to be my food or to be back to the abyss? Don't you know that I repaired it again?" tanong ko sa kanya, amused.

Sunod sunod na tango ang ginawa niya.

"Do you want to be with me or to be with Cerberus and Morpheus?"

"I-I want to die," mahinang sagot niya.

Tumingin ako kay Violet.

"Take her to my chamber. And you know what to do," utos ko sa kanya.

"As you wish, mistress," sagot niya sa akin at saka binitbit ang babaeng umiiyak na.

Pagkatapos ng usapang iyon ay pumunta ako sa Abyss. This dimensional prison is home to the almighty Cerberus and Morpheus, two of my five strongest guard ever existed that was created in one sole purpose, to serve me.

After my disappearance, the Abyss has been shut down along with my domain. And now that everything will fall to its place accordingly, Abyss will be in full operation again.

"Ugh finally," narinig kong sabi ni Cerberus, the three headed dog that currently watching one of her guard torturing one of their prison.

"What's up, Boss. You've been missing for a billion of eons. Where were you? Morpheus and I heard that you were locked up inside your own abyssal limbo.

"Yeah I was," sagot ko sa kanila. "Lucky someone did their best to look for me and then bam, I'm here," sagot ko sa kanila showing them the ball of glowing white light with a slight black on it.

"Woah.. that's a soul that is about to embrace the darkness, boss," sabi ni Morpheus.

"That would be a big problem, boss," sabi naman ni Cerberus. "Whoever owns the soul, probably the hate and anger build it up within," aniya pa.

"The owner is an Archon from Zephyr's territory," sagot ko sa kanila.

"Speaking of Zephyr, are you going to visit her abyss, boss?" tanong ni Cerberus sa akin before giving me a celestial that has been imprisoned for thousands of years. " If you do, eat this one. He is already ripe and ready to eat," sabi pa niya.

Tumingin ako sa lalaki na nakaluhod. The life in his eyes faded away and the only thing that I can see through is death.

"Good, because I'm freaking starving.

Lumayo ang dalawa sa kinatatayuan ko. I immediately shifted into my snake form. Mabuti na lang at ginawa kong napakalaki ang Abyss. The size ten times the size of Earth as it has many level of tortures and also to accommodate those who are doom to be eaten by me, the darkest secret I have been hiding.

I opened my mouth and then ate the unaware man in one go before shifting into my Celestial form again burping afterward.

"Wow. That's my first meal since I went into slumber and finally freed from that prison chamber," nakangiting sabi ko sa kanila. "So freaking delicious."

"We only serve you the best boss," nakangiting sagot ni Morpheus. "And also, you grew bigger than the last time we saw you," aniya pa.

"Oh, I'm always growing. I never stop growing to be exact," sagot ko sa kanila. "I have to go. I made a deal with this poor soul. I must do what I promised her," sabi ko pa.

"Ohh and also boss, please resurrec Zephir. We can't accommodate a new breed of Celestials if she's not around," pahabol ni Cerberus sa akin.

"Of course. Before going back to full operation. Our branches should be ready," sagot ko sa kanila before disappearing.

The failed plan of destroying my domain and it's branches made me pissed off. Aside from restoring it former glory and start to operate again, I have to revived all my reapers including those who are not in my range. Death is around. Death occurred everywhere in this galaxy, even in other dimensions. Death is death. And I ruled them all. The process is exhausting. After I restore everything, Green and her pals will be next on my list, especially since I already figured out where Cherubim's a.k.a Apollyon's whereabouts. I'll let them enjoy my doppelganger as their friend who lends her helping hand while I'm still busy working. Those who are extinct needed to be extinct and that is the flow of time that must be followed, with or without me.

I appeared in a ruined domain. The door that used to bear my mark has been completely destroyed. As I touched the destroyed wall, it started to shake as it felt my presence. As I touched it, flows of the past appeared before my eyes.

There, I saw thousands of Archons raging from the most powerful to the weak rally outside the domain's door. Zephyr's forces clashed with them but since they are just normal powerless reapers, they were easily defeated. And in front of them was a face whom I will never forget, Cherubim and other traitor from Archdemons and Archangels. These are Seraphims and Sin's people. They destroyed the door and stole everything from the inside. Nakita kong nakatayo si Zephyr sa gitna as she stands her ground.

"Surrender, Reaper. Your Leader has been gone and she will never go back. Surrender and you will be untouched," sabi ni Cherubim.

That made my blood boils

"Are you stupid?" narinig kong sagot ni Zephyr habang nakangisi. "Do you think that you can stop my Boss? Baka nakakalimutan mong hindi mo siya ka-level o kahit alinman sa mga kasama mo. You may have been successfully locked her up while she's in her slumber, but she'll find ways to hunt you once she's out. And I bet you will run away, tails tucked in between your legs," nakangising sabi pa niya.

Zephyr didn't give up just like that, she managed to kill a number of Archons and wounded some of Cherubim's arches before she was killed.

As I walked inside the domain and now turned to the tomb, the past was still playing inside of my head. I located Zephyr's bones and took her into the deepest part of the domain that only I knew about.

"Ah.. welcome back my beloved master," salubong sa akin ni Sauron. "I can see we will be busy again like when we were starting to build your domain, master," anito pa.

"Yes yes. I have so much work to do. We shall begin by restoring this reaper's body and this domain," sagot ko sa kanya.

"As you wish, master. Your words are absolute as always," nakangiting sagot nito before lighting up his huge broiler made of my blood as a gift I gave to him.
