Chapter 07

Chapter 7: Chelle's point of view

A plain peach colored 3/4 blouse together with a fitted skirt is what i'm wearing right now, and i must say that it fits in me. We'll, i bought it eventhough it was expensive. Geez.

It's for the meeting that the monster was talking yesterday. And also, i don't want to hear some hurtful words from him again.

I don't know but i have this feeling that i should do everything i can to subdue him. I must make him believe in me--in anything and everything i can.

I raised my left arm to check the time on my watch, and it was 6:30 am. Just enough to take a walk into the office.

"Nandito na po tayo, Ma'am." i heard the Taxi Driver informs. I smiled at him, and gave him the money. "Thank you po."

Then i eagerly left the taxi, and walk inside the company. I was waiting for the elevator, when someone's hand landed on my shoulders.

I turned my head to see who's hand is it, and i saw Blake's. He is smiling. "Goodmorning, Chelle."    He greeted.

I greatfully smiled. "Goodmorning. You're early." i mentioned.

"Oh yeah. That, uhm...i was just excited to see you." he said then he winks.

I furtively bit my lower lip to hide my smile. "Hmm, that was a nice... Pick up line? Or maybe a joke? I don't know." i just said. Gosh! I think i'm blushing! Geez!

He chuckles. "It's not a joke nor a pick up line. It's true."

I shrugged. "Whatever you say. Haha!."

He is still staring at me, so was i. Para kaming tangang nagtititigang dalawa. Mabuti na lang wala pang ibang empleyado na malapit dito sa elevator kung hindi. Hayst!

"Ehem... Staring is not part of the work." Blakes and I got startled when we heard the voice who said that.

I'm 101 percent sure that it was the Monster. He is really annoying! Everytime that Blake and I have a sweet moment, lagi na lang syang istorbo! Panira ng araw! Tssk.

"Sorry Sir...and goodmorning." I heard Blake greeted. Nagkunyare lang naman akong wala akong pakialam. Nanatili akong nakaharap sa may Elevator, at wala akong balak na lingunin or batiin ang halimaw at istorbo naming boss.

"We'll it's not a good morning. And you, MY secretary would you not gonna greet me a goodmorning?." he sound, as*hole like always.

I rolled my eyes first, before turning around. I let out a fake smile. "Goodmorning, Sir." i casually said, then turn my back at him.

I can sense a stare on my back, kaya naman pakiramdam ko nagtatayuan na ang mga balahibo ko sa batok ko.

Naka-pony pa naman ako, i'm sure kitang-kita nila ang batok ko. We'll, maputi naman yun kaya okay lang siguro.

The elevator got opened, and i faced our boss. (we'll, i'm not gonna call him a monster for now) 

"Sir, you first." i said.

He replied a smile. "No, you first. Ladies first right?." he said that in a good manner. Pero bat parang ang annoying lagi pag galing sa kanya?

I nodded, then walked inside the elevator. Agad namang sumunod si Sir Jorem, and when Blake is going to get in, Sir Jorem stopped him.

"Only the Secretary can accompany the boss in the elevator. New rule from now on." Sir Jorem said, then he let out a teasing smile before pressing the close button.

Nakita ko naman na gumalaw ang panga ni Blake, bago tuluyang sumara ang elevator. Agad 'kong tinignan ng masama ang halimaw na boss namin, dahil sa ginawa nya sa crush ko.

"What was that, Sir?."

"That's one of my rules in my own company. I guess, i should apply that here too. Right?." he said, at ngayon kitang kita ko ang matagumpay na ngiti sa mukha nya.

Sabi na e. He hired me to be his secretary again para lang asarin ako. He must be really insane!

Hindi ko na lang sya sinagot, naiinis ako! Napaka-arogante at napaka-angas nya! I don't know if how long can i handle him. Ibang-iba ang ugali nya kay sir Johence.

Nagtataka tuloy ako kung anak ba talaga sya ni Sir Joh or not e. Baka naman ampon lang to?

But they have the same shape of face so i guess mag ama talaga sila. Pareho din silang GWAPO---BUT THEY DON'T HAVE THE SAME ATTITUDE.

"Nice outfit by the way. You looked like a decent woman today." he said, at alam 'kong nang-aasar na sya. So, this is what he wants? Then fine. I'll give him what he wants.

I look at him, and gave my sweetest smile. "I'll take that as a compliment, Sir. So, thank you." i said, and i almost laugh when i saw his reaction.

He seemed shock and at the same time impressed. We'll, i can play game too. I'm good at playing games either.

When the elevator door opens, pinauna 'ko nang lumabas si sir Jorem habang ako naman ay nakasunod lang dito. Lahat nang nadadaanan namin ay binati sya, pero sya... Walang pakialam.

Snobber. Tssk.

Agad kaming tumuloy sa Conference Room, at naabutan naman namin na kumpleto na ang mga board members at investors, kaya naman agad na akong tumungo sa pwesto ko.

And by just looking, i can tell that his emotions turned into a very serious one. He speaks like a leader, and he listens very well.

Mukha siyang kagalang-galang dahil sa kilos nya, he talk professionaly. Now i know kung bakit sya naging successful in being a businessman.

Hindi lang dahil sa mga magulang nya, but also because of himself. He is indeed a good businessman, but definitely not a good boss. Tsked.

"Meeting adjourned. You may all leave." and that's the que. The meeting has ended.

Agad akong tumayo at hinilot ang bandang leeg ko dahil mukang nangalay ata dahil nakatingin lang naman ako sa kanila.

Tinignan ko ang relo ko, at quarter to 9 na pala, so halos dalawang oras pala ang meeting. Geez! Wala naman akong ginawa pero bat parang napagod ata ako?

"Tutunganga ka na lang ba diyan? Aren't you go nna help me here?." napabalik lang ako muli sa reyalidad nang magsalita si Sir. At dun ko napansin na dalawa na lang pala kami na nandito sa loob ng conference room.

Aish! Nagiging lutang ka na lagi, Chelle ah.

Naglakad ako palapit sa kinaroroonan ni Sir Jorem, at kaagad na kinuha lahat ng mga documents na nakapatong sa table nya.

"Tara na po, Sir." i said.

Hindi naman na siya sumagot, sa halip ay nauna na syang naglakad palabas.

Nang makapasok kami sa loob ng elevator, kahit hirap na hirap ako na lang ang pumindot ng floor number namin.

As usual. Tahimik lang kaming dalawa. Sir Jorem have this serious aura, na parang matatakot ka kapag inistorbo mo.

We're in the middle of silence, when someone's phone rings. Sa pag-aakalang sa akin iyon, kaagad 'kong kinapa ang skirt na suot ko, pero di naman tumutunog ang phone ko.

Then, in just a snap the ring stopped. Agad 'kong nilingon si Sir Jorem, at hayun. Nakalapat na sa tenga nya ang phone nya.

He looked at me, and when he notice that i'm looking at him, his brows instantly curled kaya naman agad akong umiwas, at nagkunyareng walang naririnig.

"Hello, Jedine...Yeah...Really?...Sure. i'll wait for you here in my office. Fine. Iove you too."

Yan lang ang sinabi nya, then he keep his phone. He cleared his throat, readying himself to speak when the elevator door opened. At dahil madaming tao ang naghihintay, kaagad silang nagsi-yuko, habang si Sir naman ay nagmamadaling umalis.

Agad ko din naman syang sinundan, hanggang sa makarating na kami sa office nya. I put the documents on his table, at aalis na sana nang magsalita sya.

"Salvador." Teka--apelyido ko yun diba? Chelle Salvador ang buong pangalan ko. So, last name basis na pala kami ngayon. Fine.

Nilingon ko naman sya. "Yes Sir?."

"After here, go straight to Taylor's Parlor. I'm not attending the Masquerade Party tonight for the celebration of Samson-Lanorias Merging. Instead of me, you will be the one attending the event. So you should be ready."

Halos mapanganga lang naman ako sa sinabi nya. Whuut? Ako? Seryoso ba sya?

"You seemed unhappy, ayaw mo ba?."

I shook my head. "It's not that, Sir. I was just a bit surprised."

He is still looking at me. "Umalis ka na. Pipili ka pa ng damit, at mag-aayos. Gusto 'kong maging desente ang itsura mo mamaya."

I sighed. Kahit kailan! Ang talas ng dila nitong lalaking ito. "Yes, Sir. But---"i hesitated to ask, but i know i have to try. "Can i bring someone? Para naman, may nakakausap ako habang nasa party ako."

He smirked at me, "Aish, fine. " he just said, then agad na tumalikod. Nakangiti naman ako habang palakad palabas ng office.

Excited na ako sa party mamaya!! Siguradong madaming masarap na pagkain duon, tas madaming gwap----

"Here, use this for your expenses." i confusingly turn around, and my eyes landed on sir Jorem hand.

May inaabot sya sakin, isang Black thing. Nilapitan ko naman sya, at inabot ng dahan-dahan ang binibigay nito.

And nang mahawakan ko ang bagay na iyon, nanlaki na lang ang mga mata ko. OMG! this is... This is a...

"That's a black card. You can buy whatever you want, and i am trusting you with that thing. I just hoped na hindi mo sisirain ang tiwala ko." he said na nakapagpa-angat ng paningin ko.

Sakto naman na tinalikuran nya na ulit ako.

Naiwan naman ako na hindi makapaniwala. Am i hallucinating? Talaga 'bang ipinagkatiwala nya ang Black Card na to sakin? He really trust me?

Hindi ko alam...pero...

---napangiti na lang ako dahil sa sinabi nya.

My heart feel overwhelmed because Sir Jorem trust me. Ang saya-saya sa puso. Lagi kaming nagkakasagutan yet he trust me.

And his words brings happiness to me.

So i can't help it but to release a wide smile.
