A furious voice greeted me when I answered the landline while cleaning the house. I was excited to pick up the call, thinking it was Jordan, but it turned out to be a woman. She sounded like she had an attitude, immediately asking who I was. Who was this? I felt like staying silent and just hanging up, but she might be someone they knew, with something important to say to the siblings.
"Are you mute now? Who are you?!"
"Ahhhh... I'm the new housemaid here," I answered hesitantly.
"Housemaid? There's already a replacement for Calla?" she asked in confusion. I was slightly surprised because she knew my mother, which meant she also knew the siblings.
