Christian's POV
The rain pours just like my feeling, weak yet full of sadness. I slowly opened my eyes as I felt the cold morning.
"What should I do?" I whispered to myself while staring at the sky that's full of grief. While lying on the ground without wearing something, I managed to hug myself though there is a cry from heaven.
Moments had passed and I heard some voices. "Here he is!" shouted, those men of my mom as they found me.
I am quite sensitive to those footsteps and breaths that they do.
I slowly sat at that time while my mom is walking towards my direction. I devastatingly sighed and uttered, "I am nothing."
The tears of his loving mother flowed. "No..." then immediately, my mom hugged me so tight. "Don't worry, we can do something," she wept while looking into me. She covered me by a thick blanket to my nakedness.
"How I can protect my people," I pointed to himself. "if I can't even protect myself?"
The rain stopped and the rays of the sun shone again.
And my mom wondered how did it happen. It is a sign of peace and deliverance that she's seeing when she glanced at the beauty of the land which is on the downhill.
I heard a voice from somewhere, "You don't need to protect yourself because we are here to do it for you." Then a guy came in front of me and arranged his eyeglasses using his right hand. He was the one who spoke earlier. He added, "I am Second Evann McGwann."
Another guy stepped forward and said, "My name is Cris Charles Lewis." He smiled at me. "Life is like music, there is a rhythm that they may not know but the important thing is you sing it from your heart."
"If they try to harm you..." The third guy comes out beside a tree. "I will give them a hard punch. By the way, I am Ethan Lopez."
The fourth person took out his gun and placed it on his shoulder. "I am Arniel Campo and now runs for my bullet."
Christian said, "Who is the last guy?"
"I am Iesher John Sy." Christian looked at him on but Iesher suddenly looks down.
I don't know why they are five men who are standing few steps away from me. And how does mom come up with a certain idea that I did not anticipate?
I moved forward and managed to look back where my mom is. "What do you plan on doing with this whole thing, mom?" I started to get angry with her.
I saw how a mother's love is. "They will protect you."
I smirked and pointed at those faces. "This idea is insane!"
Then Cris Charles said, "Paying a lot of zeros to us is actually an insane thing."
Then those men laughed at what he said. "Yeah, you need us. Whether you like it or not." Arniel plays on his hand the gun that he is holding.
-_-_-_-_-
"You need them, my son," bitterly asked Christian's mom. And with her stammering voice, she said, "So that I will not be worried."
Christian raised his hand and tapped his mother's shoulder. "Fine, as you wish." Then his mother hugged him.
They got back to the Lim-Carillo house. Christian took a rest in his room while Jane and the five men are on the long and wide dinner table. Few moments came and the men saw how those servants of Jane put the envelope in front of them. The ambiance is so serious.
"Each one of you will have seven thousand dollars every month," uttered by the mom of Christian. "I already gave him the position as the CEO but the formal announcement will be a month from now." They are listening carefully to her. "My son has a secret."
And Iesher said it again, "Your son has a secret?"
These men looked at each other. "What does she mean?" They were asking each other.
Jane stood up and threw those pictures of werewolves.
"I read about these werewolves," uttered by Second Evan.
"Are they real?" asked, Iesher.
"They are afraid of silver," added, Cris.
Then Jane told them, "My son is one of them."
The amused faces of the guys filled the place.
And Second Evan confirmed it. "Yeah, they are real. Werewolves are indeed real."
"I don't care what he is. My loyalty is only to him." Jane felt the happiness as Ethan said it and signed the contract that was on the paper beside him.
"Same with me," said, Second Evan. Iesher, then, also signed the contract.
He nodded and Cris uttered. "Nothing to lose," and sways his pen on the contract that is in front of him.
"I don't want to be left also," whispered, Arniel and followed what the other men do.
Jane didn't hold her tears and cried in front of the five men. "Thank you, this means a lot for me and my son."
Those men stood up and gave a bow to her. "All honor to you, Ma'am."
Then from his room, Christian stood and looks unto the men from the second floor of their house. They looked at him and bowed. They uttered, "We will protect you until the end."
He doesn’t have those words to say. Looking to those men who are willing to give theirlives just to protect him is a big thing to the entire family of Lim-Carillo.
Eveything went busy and was assigned to their respect works. Since Christian has unstable condition when it comes to being a werewolf from time to time he manage himself to practice the ability that he has. No people are allowed to enter the huge property that Christian has on the rural place. Since his condition is secret and was known by the few.
His mom bid her goodbye when they are outside of their manson. “I am not sure if when I can visit again.”
He holds his mom’s hands and carefully uttered. “Don’t worry Mom, I will be fine here.”
Jane carefully massage the hair of Christian while looking to his son’s eyes. “I never comprehend to happen these things but always think that mom is here.”
He nodded and hug his mom. “Becareful going ok?”
“Yes.” Then his mom entered the car that was waiting for her.
As the engine starts he waves his hand, a gesture of love and experessing his goodbye to his mom. But the urge of power starts there. When the car is not visible to everyone and his sight is still on that direction his mood change.
The bubbly and jolly Christian become a cold and strict one.
“Everyone!” He shouted. And all of the people encircled him. “From this day, all of you will follow my command. No more and no less.” Christian points the huge gate. “If you don’t like it better, you leave. Is that clear?”
All people around him bow and said, “yes, Chairman Christian Carillo.” Then five men looked to each other. And were remembered to the oath they said that they will proctect Christian till the end.
