Chapter 5: Second- Start

(Second’s POV)

I leaned on my phone as I woke up. I never expect that it was a two-hour nap. Those moments I dreamed of was thought that it is just minutes. But I notice that the book on my table was now open.

“Who opened this?” I ask to my self as I sit properly. I took the book and read it.

The love I have is precious and true,

Keep it and remember that is only for you.

What does those word meant for? And to whom?

I closed it as I finished reading those words. I walk around till I went to the window where I can stare how the rain stops. “Is those words meant for me?” I sighed. As I moved my head I saw Christian from a far. He looks at me and wave his right arm.

I can read his lips saying, “come here.” I pointed my self and he nodded. “Yes you,” he uttered again.

I opened the window fully and managed my self to hop from it. I saw how he laughs on what I am doing. As I am going to his place I cleaned my hand with the handkercihief that I have. “You really enjoy watching me right?” I asked him though I felt some pissed-off.

He suddenly stops laughing, “you can go outside your room by the door right?” Then he pointed the door of the mansion.

I rolled my eyes and keeps on cleaning myself. “Fine.” As I finished I looked at him and asked, “why you call me?”

“Because I can?” I felt embarrass on what I heard from him.

And I told him, “don’t tell me you just call me for nothing?” Then he burst to laugh again. “What should I feel?” This time I am the one who ask.

“Ofcourse there is a reason why I called you.” Then he stepped back. “Tomorrow we have a meating with the heads of the hospital.” So now I feel relief with the words he uttered. Which he meant that my work as his secretary on his hospital will start tomorrow.

I took out the paper and pen that were always with me. “Can I have the full details?” And prepared my self to take down some notes.

I saw how his face amazed. “You really prepared?”

“Because that is what a secretary must do right?” Now I have the point on the things that was happening.

He looks on the flower that was around us. I am sure he was thinkingat this moment and I gave him as he need it. “I need to wake up early in the morning.”

I leaned my head on the other side and look at him while taking some notes that he said, “that is given right? Especially being a Chairman of a huge company?”

He picked up my pen and paper then pushes his self towards mine. “Just write it ok?”

I took back my things and said, “ok, copy as you wish.” This will be the first time having argument with Chairman Christian.  

“There is no such important things that we will do tomorrow.” I bothered on what he was talking about. “Since that is my routine.” So now I knew that he is always busy.

“I guess you used to be a busy type of person, Chairman Christian.” He smiled as what I said to him.

“I remember those days, that I am fun of having an adventurous person.” I now find interesting so I keep on listening. “But things are not on my way.” I predict he meant for the scar that he had on his arm.

He touched it and I told him, “that is what you are talking about?” Then pointed his arm.

“Ah.” Then he looks at it. “yes, but everything has a purpose.” Then I saw the peace on his face. “Just believe in it right?” I nodded to what he said.

Then I uttered, “that everything will be fine.”

“Let us back on the things that you will be going to do tomorrow.” And I raised my pen which he saw it. “I need to be at the hospital at exactly nine in the morning.”

“Fine, copy.” And I wrote those words. “Nine in the morning.” Then I look at him. “You need to be at the hospital that time.” Then he smiled.

I wrote every wods that he uttered. While he was talking, I can’t help my self not to looks at his lips. I am not bothered that much but the way he speaks catches my attention. This is how a Chairman Christian Lim Carillo is so serious. At first I thought that he will always behindon his mother’s skirt. But the way that I look at it and on how he manages his time, he is so different.

I stopped thinking when he calls my attention. “Ah!” And I shook my shoulders. “I need to meet Doctor Ellise Han.” I also take those words and put it on the note that I have. “I know that they will prepare since I will go there. Maybe that there will be an instance that I will meet some of the doctors there. But take note that I will not have much time for it.” Then he inserted his hands on the pockets of his pants.

My brows met and I asked to him politely. “Why?”

“I can easily hear a lot of things.”

I put aside the stuffs that I am holding. “What do you mean?” Now my interest is on how he becomes a wolf or it will be still the thing that we can’t talk.

“I don’t want to open more about that topic.” Then he lends his sight to other side. I feel that it was end here. But I know that he will utter some thoughts about it, the best thing that I can do is to wait.

And I change the matter that we have right now. “I will prepare some things for tomorrow.” And I smiled at him but he never gives an inch of sight on me. “I will just leave things here.” Then I walked away.

(Christian’s POV)

I don’t want to open a lot of things. Just what I knew is that this condition of mine doesn’t help me anymore. I have lots of ideas, dreams and vision. But here I am, I may transfom into a wolf that I can’t know when, where and how.

I heard a voice from a distant. “What botheres you my dear son?” I moved my self towards her direction. “Is everything fine? Or there is something that bothers you?” Then she stops infront of me.

“Mom, you should be with Dad.” Then I hold both of her shoulders.

She raised her head and I can see on her eyes the worry of a mother. “But—“

I pointed her lips with my index finger. “I now that what you like is to protect me.” And I hugged her. “This time I need to face some circumstances in life alone.” And I feel the tightness of her arms that wraps me.

“Ok, let us have this deal.” Then she pushes me away.

I whispered unto the air, “what kind of deal?”

“Just call me when you need a help or you need someone to talk to you.” I nodded and smiled that somehow gives her relief.

I swayed my hand as a sign of promise to my mom. “Yes, yes.”

She smiles at this moment and told me, “I will leave everything to you. And appear once you need me.”

That moment she leaves her trust to me. And seing her walking away, I take an oath to be good as what she thinks.

On the next day…

I saw Second on the dinner area where he was waiting. I look unto my watch and it was seven in the morning. He was busy doing something and I can see that he was prepared. Oh yeah, every people are well-prepared on their first day, just like this secretary of mine on my mom’s hospital.

I asked to him as I stopped infron of him. “Did you sleep well?”

He leans his attention to me and nodded. “A hundred percent.”

I smiled and say, “good to hear.”

A minute later, the maid servant in the mansion prepares our breakfast. Then the other secretaries come over and joined our meal. “Only Second will be with me.” I uttered. They look at me and as if their eyes agreed on what I am saying. As we finish our meal, some of my guards prepared my car and some things that I need going to the hospital.

Then Second opens the door of the car that I will be using and he bowed. “The day has begun.” I said to him.
