The surrounding was eerie but then again so was her whole plan of talking to her ancestor--the dark witch. Among the witches of St. Angeli and the coven of witches in Whitburry, their ancestors were actively taking part in everything that a coven does. Her ancestor, on the other hand, was the silent type. Ever since the coven of three died and their magic transferred to her, she has never felt the presence of her ancestor. Annabeth and Isabela both said it was normal for the ancestors to sometimes communicate with their descendants through dreams, visions, or outright showing themselves in front of them. The dark witch never did any of those things which placed her under the impression that maybe the dark witch doesn't want to have anything to do with her.
