The Cunning Alpha Queen

CHAPTER 3

The queen, while enjoying all the gold and wealth she gets from the Rowan kingdom, she was still missing something that she needs to do.

Facing the window while looking at the people of Artesia begging for her to abolish her tax law, she just formed a smile while watching them on their knees that made Axel shake his head looking at her sister, who began to have a heart as hard as stone after what happened to their parents.

After standing and relaxing watching the whining of the people, the queen decided to go to her bath prepared by her servant, a pool with milk and petals of roses, where she would soak herself until she was satisfied.

Closing her eyes makes her remember the tragic fall of the Samaria kingdom. She never saw how her parents died and all their people, only she and her brother, who were saved by the soldiers who escaped when she was turned and killed all the Artesia soldiers and generals.

"I won't stop until I discover what went wrong that time, why my parents have easily been killed..."

The queen mumbled while resting in her expensive pool, then closes her eyes as tears fall her face.

While closing her eyes, one of her servants walked towards her and whispered, this made the queen nod her head for approval. Then a bald man wearing a hood enters the queen's lavatory.

"Have you found out?"

The queen asks while still soaked in her milk tub without looking at the man.

"Yes your highness, it is the witch's fault."

"Tell me everything."

The queen said and the man started to tell her everything that happened the time before the attack on their kingdom. She found out from the man that it was the queen of Artesia's fault, queen Hellia, who was known to be from a line of witches. She cast a spell the day before the attack that stops the Samarian blood to use their power and ability to turn for the next day which happens that she is not around and not able to be cursed.

Due to the spell, the whole wolf's blood and the ability of the Samarian to stop so the Artesia kingdom, taking advantage of it and easily killing every Samarian that day.

Filled with anger and silent wrath, the queen still manages to be in posture as she gets up from the tub assisted by her servant covering her body with a white cloth.

Now facing the bald man she is talking to, she looks at him wearing her fierce eyes.

"You know what to do, bring me all their heads."

The queen says and the man leaves, assuring her to fulfill what she commands.

Two nights and three days passed when, in the middle of the afternoon, as the sun shines around the Artesia kingdom, darkness suddenly covers the whole kingdom and the village. The queen looks at the sky and then smiles, throwing a look at Axel.

"What is the meaning of this? What is going on?"

Axel confusingly asks, facing his sister, the queen.

"They did it. I will just wait for the special gift they will bring to me."

"Special gift you say, I don't feel good about it. What have you done this time, your highness?"

The queen seriously faced her brother with fierce eyes and then spoke.

"I avenge our kind and our parents; I can now be in peace knowing that those evils are all dead!"

With a serious face expressing anger and vengeful emotion, the queen walks out of her chamber, leaving the speechless Axel.

Tears are now dripping down her face as she keeps on walking towards the back of the kingdom where she builds a nice garden to serve as her parent's grave. All the emotion, hate and sorrow that she tries to control suddenly burst out as she drops herself sitting at her parent's tomb.

Mixed with victorious and regretful feelings, the queen chooses to stay in the garden for one day until her troops arrive, bringing the heads of the whole member of the family of black witches living on Red Mountain.

Meanwhile, quite a distance from the kingdom, a woman in black with long hair in a hood stared seriously at the kingdom wearing her dark red eyes.

Wearing the sacred queen's crown of the Artesia kingdom, Queen Astrid is now preparing herself to meet her group of soldiers along with priest Ganval, the bald man to whom she entrusts the mission of slaughtering and bringing her the head of the members of the black witches living in the red mountain.

With the help of priest Ganval, using an experimented weapon made by the Ursula flower that can easily kill a witch, they attack and kill the last witches inside their lair.

After a few months of studying and preparing for the attack, where they can get to the Red Mountains in a short time, they successfully fulfill the queen's desire and now they are all heading back to the kingdom where the queen waited for them.

Filled with excitement, the queen slowly and still can't believe that the last line of witches is now dead. She starts laughing hard, knowing that the extinction of all the black witches has been taken into her hands.

She was now just waiting for the return of her own built witch, Celia, the princess of Artesia, and before the queen announced this day for a celebration, suddenly a woman in a black cape with a hood appeared in the eyes of the queen that everyone nailed their eyes as well.

Slowly walking towards the queen, the woman easily takes off her hood, showing the face she has been waiting for. A smile forms on the Queen's face and she excitedly walks towards Celia.

The queen hugs her, smiles sweetly at her, and then walks her towards the council hall room.

"I did not expect your appearance today; I believe you have already decided on my offer."

The queen said, looking straight at Celia who was now smiling at her, then standing up and walking towards her.

"I have fulfilled what you told me, and come up with a great decision..."

Celia said, standing in front of the queen, who was still giving her a vicious smile.

"Tell me what comes to your mind?"

The queen asked, which made Celia lean her face down to the sitting queen and then whisper.

"I decided to get your crown, your highness"

Celia said that suddenly her eyes glowed in red along with the queen's eyes, which were now glowing in gold, but before she could even turn into a wolf, Celia immediately cast a spell that the queen did not realize.

The queen's ability and strength suddenly showed up and she then held Celia's neck but was stopped when she heard the shouts and yells of the people outside.

Filled with confusion, the queen throws Celia at the wall that made her unconscious, then walks out of the room, which shocks her to see all her soldiers and her kind easily being killed by the group of witches. The heads of the witches who were supposed to be dead suddenly come to life and their bodies appear in the air.

While she still can't believe what is going on, the queen cannot move in her position until Axel, her brother, holds her hand and pulls her away from the center throne.

"I need to get you out of here! They will come after you, so we need to hide!"

"We can fight them—"

"—they are witches! They know exactly what we are going to do. I can see that all this has been planned! So we need to go!"

Queen Astrid and Axel quickly run out of the palace along with other soldiers who are also Samarian.

The soldiers of Celia chased them, so the queen's soldiers had no choice but to stay and face them for her to get away and escape. As they continued running, they saw a little house in the middle of the forest outside the kingdom.

Axel covers the face of the queen and seeks help from the owner of the house until someone comes out. They see a mother and daughter looking confused at them.

"Can I help you, sir?"

The mother asks.

"We need a place to stay in and hide for a moment. Don't worry, we are coming in peace. We mean no harm please."

Axel said and the woman opened her house for them but was shocked to see the face of the queen. She quickly kneels and pays respect to her.

"I am honored to be a help to the queen."

"You don't despise me?"

The queen asks in surprise.

"We don't your highness. I am so thankful that my daughter was chosen to study at your school. I am so grateful that she will have a rightful place for her"

The queen is silenced by what the woman says and then shows her daughter and introduces it to the queen.

"Hello dear...I heard that you are happily studying at my school. Can you tell me what your name is?"

"My name is Estelle."

The kid said that made the queen smile.

"I love your name. It's a beautiful name. It suits you well."

The queen said and then they both stayed at the house for a moment while planning on their next move. The mother prepares food for them and, while they are all having dinner, suddenly the sound of the running horses is heard, making Axel pull the queen's arms to quickly get away from the house.
