Rebel's POV
Pinagmasdan ko ang kabuuan ng bahay namin bago ako umalis. Our house is filled with darkness, without my mother and my father... it's all dark and full of loneliness.
"Mama," I whispered. "I promise to save Papa, I promise you that."
I promise to do better this time.
I can still see my mother's smile on the veranda while looking at me and my father's proud look. If I can just turn back time, I'd do anything to hug and tell them how much I love them.
It's not too late for my father but it's already too late for my mother. I can't see her anymore. I can't hug her anymore nor say I love you. No one can comfort me the way she does. She's my best friend and my mother.
I closed my eyes and tears fell in my eyes when I remembered what she said before.
