Chapter 12

"Magandang araw sayo, hija. Ikaw na ba ang nobya ni Darell?" nakangiting bungad sakin ng isang ginang na may katandaan.

Ngumit lamang ako at umiling.

"Kaibigan lang po."

Tumango lamang ito, halatang nanghinayang sa aking sagot.

"Napaka-ganda mo, bagay na bagay pa naman kayo."

Oh I bet. Dondarell is a silent type person. Kung magsasalita man ay hindi pa magaganda ang lalabas sa bibig nito. He's so harsh. Parang walang pakialam kahit na buntis pa ko.

Siguro galit dahil narin isa itong Doctor at sa kaalamang may gusto magpalalag ng anak ay ikinagalit nito?

Siguro nga.

"Manang, pakituro kay Ego ang silid niya sa itaas." turan ni Dondarell at pagod na naupo sa couch.

"Sige. Halika.."

We started walking towards the hall. The house is quite huge. This is a mansion.

Matatagpuan ito sa liblib na lugar sa Cebu. Pagmamayari ni Dondarell ang lupaing ito sa parte ng Cebu kung kayat hindi malalaman ng Ama nito na may iniuwi siyang babaeng buntis sa tahanan nito.

Totoo rin ang sinabi ni Darell na hindi ako kilala ng mga tauhan nito. Walang nakakakilala sakin rito. Walang nakakaalam na ako ay isa nang papasikat na modelo.

"Buntis ka ba, hija?" tanong ni Manang Issa nang masulyapan ang mga dalang gamit at impis kong t'yan.

"O-opo.."

"Kay Darell ba?" tanong nito. "Pasensya na. Ito kasi ang unang beses na nagdala ng babae si Darell dito."

"Ayos lang ho, Manang."

Hindi na lamang ako sa sumagot ukol sa tanong nito, hindi naman na p'wedeng sabihing kay Dondarell ang bata dahil ang unang pakilala ko ay magkaibigan lamang kami, lalabas na iresponsableng lalaki si Darell kapag nagkataon.

"Salamat po." ngumiti ang matanda at naglakad palayo.

What a tiring day.

I stared at my luggage then looked at the bed. I'll just arrange my things later, I'm tired and I need to rest.

I walked towards the white mattress and crawled. Ah it's so soft. I closed my eyes then fell asleep.

"WHO arranged my things?" I asked Dondarell who's currently sitting while reading a news paper. He glanced at me then sighed.

"I asked Manang Issa to do it, I know you were tired and you're pregnant so.." he explained then shrugged.

He looked at me again before slowly pulling me.

"What are you-"

"Sit and eat."

He pulled a chair for me before putting a rice on my plate.

"You still don't have any cravings hmm?" he asked softly, gone the dark and bossy side.

"Wala pa." I answered then started to eat.

"Your baby's that good huh? Hindi pinahihirapan ang mommy." he smirked then looked at me. I looked away before drinking.

"Pabor naman sayo dahil hindi ako manghihingi ng kung ano ano." asik ko pa.

"Yes, but I will still give anything you want tho. Atleast I'll experience something new."

I finished eating before touring around the place. The water is clear, I would like to swim.

So, I walked back in the house particularly to my room then grab a two piece black bikini.

I smiled while holding a robe on my right arm while walking towards the beach.

I applied a sunscreen on my exposed skin before walking towards the water.

I started to swim and swim.

Until I felt the Sun's hot rays on my skin, that time I decided to stay under the tree to protect my skin.

I closed my eyes then lean on the body of the tree.

"EGO! Dammit! Where the f**k are you!?" a manly voice thundered. I looked up, only to see Darell's dark eyes glaring on me.

"W-what?"

Pinasadahan niya ako nang tingin at mas lalo yatang dumilim ang kanyang mga mata.

He pulled my hand causing me to stand and loss my balance.

I ended up on his chest, his arms are wrapped around my waist and his other hand is resting at the back of my head.

"Why didn't you tell me that you wanted to swim here?" he asked using his bossy tone.

"I.. I don't want to disturb you and Manang Issa. Besides I can handle myself." I whispered then slowly rest my left cheek on his chiseled chest.

"What if something bad happen to you or the baby?"

"I told you, I can handle myself."

"Oh shut it, just stop making me worry." he mumbled then sighed.
