I know some of you aren't familiar with the game of basketball so some of you can't understand some terminologies and how the story will run through.
This story is a basketball adaptation story, I just think of an idea on how can I form the concept of the story "Rebound" before I wrote this story. So I've decided to combine my idea of basketball and love story because of the title "Rebound" that we all know that this is a term about basketball and bwalah... here it is.
On the characters of the story, almost 70% or 80% of the cast are basketball players. To other readers that have been curious because they didn't know the concepts or "the characteristics and the role of the characters". I would give you the backgrounds of the characters especially the basketball players.
SHIOZUKA JAGUARS
They are the men's senior basketball team at Shiozuka University. They finished 5th Place last season and they failed to enter the Final Four Spot.
TEAM CHARACTERISTIC: There are many scorers on this team and they are good at the offense. Some of their players are averaging 57% on Field Goal Percentage, 86% on Free Throw shooting and 44% on the 3-Point Line.

One of the main protagonists of the story, he is a guy who has been inspired to play basketball because of his high school girlfriend Argelle, who has been a fan of basketball. He decided to join the St. Dominique Red Cubs, the high school basketball team of St. Dominique where he averaged a double-double and score his career-high 50+ points but failed to win the championship in high school because of his poor performance. He left St. Dominique and went to Shiozuka University for college and promised himself that he will bounce back on his championship dreams back in high school. For Rodney, basketball isn't just to impress his crush or a girl you like but a road to his success.

The team captain of Shiozuka Jaguars men's basketball and one of the seniors of the basketball team. Composed of 12 players on Team A last season, there are 6 who remained on the basketball team and Robin is one of them and he was assigned as the team's captain. He is a third-generation basketball player and the only brother of Nessan. He started playing basketball at the age of 6. His secret on being a legit scorer is a pure practice in doing jump shots and 3 points, and he can shoot 500 shots per day every practice. He was known for being a good scorer averaging 25 points per game last season.

Just like Rodney, Martin is also a Freshman student. He told that he and Rodney got a match up during their Final Four game and they had been defeated. Martin was known for being a sharpshooter and this year's tournament, he became the second leading 3 point shooter in NCAA besides Prince Santilian of St. Augustine. He had a matchup against St. Augustine's star player Bernard Santilian when their teams faced each other in the elimination round.

Ian is Nessan's college classmate in Shiozuka, he is just playing on the street courts alongside Adrian. When Shiozuka's starting point guard Dave Solomon got injured, Ian was selected during their tryout as a replacement to Dave. He became the starting point guard but his skills aren't good enough to match other point guards in NCAA like J.K. Sanchez of Jousei and Bernard Santilian of St. Augustine. He always have an affair with his Shiozuka teammate Rodney Isaac Miller because of having a fit of jealousy on Rodney's relationship to Nessan.

Shabazz is a Filipino-Nigerian basketball player, he was born in the Philippines from his Nigerian father and a Filipina mother. On his childhood days, he has been shown some potential as a basketball player because of his height. He is one of the most dominant centers in NCAA and he has been included in the All Mythical Team on his rookie year. He is also the assistant team captain of Shiozuka Jaguars.
ST. AUGUSTINE GOLDEN TIGERS
The top team in the Region, they have win 5 straight championships and they had a little rivalry with Shiozuka from the past seasons but their rivalry has been shortened because many teams had already been improving a lot for the past seasons.
TEAM CHARACTERISTIC: Just like the Jaguars, they are also good at the offense, two of their players had become the leader when it comes to scoring last season. They aren't good at the defense, unlike the Jaguars. If you will compare their playing style in the NBA, their comparison is like the playing style of the Golden State Warriors.

The best players in NCAA Division, he is also the reigning Finals Most Valuable Player, became the Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Year in his first year. When he was a rookie, he has been showing a full potential and a good caliber type of players and on his final year, some of the fans think that they will become more dominant this season in NCAA. He is 2nd in scoring leaders in NCAA next to Robin Gelvero of Shiozuka. Not just in scoring but he is also a good court general and a good passer.

Second in St. Augustine's leading scorer and third in season scoring leader. Just like Martin San Jose, Prince is also good when it comes to 3-point shooting. When it comes to crucial possessions, he is always reliable when it comes to 3-point shots. Not just in 3 point scoring, he also scores in the paint. He is the cousin of Bernard Santilian, their team captain and they are known as the "Splash Cousins"

NBA Comparison: Draymond Green
One of the freshmen of St. Augustine Golden Tigers and he is the only freshman who has been in the starting lineup compare to Shiozuka having three freshmen in their lineup. Because of his size, he can attack from the paint, not just in doing post moves, Boogie can also shoot at the 3 point territory if he is staying on the outside. He became close to Nessan when they first met even though Nessan always teases him on being "chubby".
ST. CARLOS BULLETS
One of Shiozuka's contender's threat, before the Final Four has started, they fought for a knockout game and they escaped with a 2 point lead to advanced in the NCAA Final Four, their team was composed of senior players.
TEAM CHARACTERISTICS: Most of the players are senior students. Their average height is 6'5" so most of them are tall players including their 7 feet guy, Henderson Parker.

The last season's runner up, they were defeated by St. Augustine Golden Tigers in the Finals, and the team was led by the rising star, J.K. Sanchez.
TEAM CHARACTERISTICS:
The team is relying on its team captain, Joseph Gabales, and their court general, J.K. Sanchez. If J.K. got the momentum on the game, his teammate also got boosted and contribute to the team's offense and defense.

Joseph Kyle (J.K. for short) is the last season's Rookie of the Year and he led the Falcons on a second-place finish on their second NCAA Finals appearance. He is a great point guard, he always prioritizes his teammates before scoring, he is also good at defense, because of his hustle, he always commits a lot of fouls. One of his rivals in NCAA is Bernard Santilian who also impressed with his performance. He was recruited by St. Carlos but he refused because he wants to study on Jousei because his younger sister is studying there in order to get a Sibling's Discount.

The team captain of Jousei Falcons, he is one of the local dominant centers in NCAA. Because of lack of good players, they had failed to qualify for the Final Four on his rookie year until J.K. arrives in Jousei and they help each other along with his teammates to enter the Finals against St. Augustine.
ST. DOMINIQUE RED LIONS
The third placer on last year's NCAA Season, they were defeated by Jousei Falcons in the Final Four. The team was known for having foreign student-athletes.
TEAM CHARACTERISTICS:
If you will watch the playing style of San Antonio Spurs, that would be the team's playing style. They don't have good shooters like Shiozuka and St. Augustine but they had a good backcourt tandem, especially their inside presence because most of the centers are foreign players.

Matthew is Rodney's high school teammate in St. Dominique and he is also Rodney's rival when it comes to Argelle's heart. Because of Rodney's jealousy in Matthew, he decided to join the team and the two became teammates but they didn't have teamwork and chemistry, the reason that their team lost in the championship game. Matthew blamed Rodney on their finals loss and one year after, they faced each other as an opponent.

The foreign student-athlete of St. Dominique Red Lions, Mickey grew up in Cameroon in Africa and he was introduced in basketball on a young age, he was chosen to participate in a training ground in NBA in order to become a good basketball player and to be scouted by the top college and universities outside the country. He was recruited by St, Dominique and promised him to become a good player, Shabazz knows him when they meet in Nigeria where the training camp was held.
