The Plan
"What the f**k! Me? A what? A freaking pregnant? Are you nuts?"
I suddenly freaked out. I mean, I would be happy if I got pregnant, but not now. We still have a long way to run.
"Chill," Margaret said while laughing. I sat again beside her. "You said you were always feeling sleepy, have frequent headaches, and craving sour foods. I was like that when I was carrying Aga," she explained but more or less trying to calm me down from panicking.
I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"I felt sleepy because I wasn't able to get a good sleep while we were in your resort. My head aches because of lack of sleep. Plus, I'm not craving for sour food. I want to eat the sweet mango. I'm on my period!" I tried to justify my recent actions.
Earlier breakfast, we ate a lot of salty food. That's why I want to eat something sweet. However, I don't want something filled with sugar. So I asked for a ripped mango. Ugh! Margaret!! You're making me nervous.
I just decided to go upstairs. They are doing their own stuff. Ariadne forbade us to go out of the villa. We aren't official members yet, so we cannot roam the island whenever we want.
I sat on the edge of my bed thinking of what I should do to kill time.
"Hey," I turned around and saw Xian with two cups of coffee. He went to me and offered me the other cup of coffee. I gladly accepted it.
I felt the warmth of the coffee through the mug.
"What's bothering you?" He asked as he sat beside me.
"Would you be happy if I got pregnant?" He was about to drink his coffee but stopped with my sudden question.
"Are you---"
"No, I'm just wondering!" I immediately cut him off. He suddenly looked away.
"I wouldn't probably be happy if you got pregnant at this moment," He said without looking at me. I stared at him for a moment trying to read his emotion.
I felt a bit of an ache inside my chest. It's like, something prick straight to my heart. The sight of Xian with no emotion while saying he doesn't want me to get pregnant, hurts me.
But I still don't know his reasons. I should know that first.
"Why not?" I felt my throat getting dry as I asked him the question.
I felt my breathing suddenly dysfunction while waiting for him to answer. Of course, his answer would really matter to me. He is my future husband and I surely wanted to build a family with him.
"Because I know you wouldn't want that to happen at this very moment and even for the months to come,"
I swallowed hard hearing his words. I thought he would say something about his own opinion about pregnancy but no, he thought of my pregnancy because of me. I couldn't say solely just about me, but I'm part of it. It's totally a great deal for me.
He didn't want me to get pregnant because he knew I wouldn't want that as well.
We were silent the whole time we were finishing the coffee.
Xian took the empty cup of coffee in my hand and put them on the side table. He pulled my hand and laid our bodies on the bed. He pulled my waist closer to him burying my face on his neck.
"I'm no longer sleepy," my voice was muffled as I said that. He chuckled and loosen the hug.
"Then, let's cuddle."
We are always together but I just suddenly miss him. Maybe because even though we're always together, we rarely cuddle with each other.
We're both busy with our responsibilities and sometimes we'll just meet each other sleeping in our bed.
I'm not really vocal with my feelings towards anyone else. I'd like to make them feel rather to hear my feelings. But with Xian, I've learned to be one. I'm now more vocal with my feelings to him and to the people around me.
I must say, it feels good to be able to show your own emotions.
Xian kissed the top of my head, down to my forehead, down to the tip of my nose, and finally down to my lips. The strong urge of love is very evident whenever he's kissing me. I just responded to his kisses, feeling every bit of emotions.
When we stopped, we were running out of breath. It feels like we are sharing the small amount of air we're breathing.
"I love you so much," he whispered before he gave me a featherlight kiss on my lips.
"Mahal din kita." bulong ko rin sa kanya.
The next thing I knew I fell asleep in his arms.
Margaret P.O.V
"So you thought she's pregnant and she freaked out?" Ariadne asked. They are staying for awhile as it is still morning. The guys were playing outside the pool.
"Yeah! I felt bad tho. Her actions were the same with my actions before I knew I was pregnant." I said.
I was so annoyed and yet I always wanted to be with Michael. I didn't know I was pregnant. I just couldn't help myself but to assume. I just know they are kinda active. I almost giggled with the thought of how active they might be. But that's too personal, so I stopped myself from thinking those things. I just focused my eyes on Ariadne.
"How is it?" Ariadne suddenly asked me. My eyes narrowed. I felt confused with her question.
"With what?" I asked. She suddenly asked and I'm not sure what she's referring to.
"Oh sorry my bad," she chuckled before she continued her sentence. "How was it being a mother?" Her eyes were sparkling but there's hint of sadness in her eyes. I wanted to ask her why she is asking me this kind of thing.
She's not a mother herself. To be honest, I don't know how to answer her questions.
"Sorry. I'm kinda curious," she said shyly and looked away.
"Motherhood, how do I explain it?" I asked myself and laughed. Ariadne gave me a small smile, waiting for my answer. "It felt surreal. It's hard but it's one of the most wonderful things that ever happened in my life. I wouldn't trade it for anything,"
Being a mother is a dream for me. It was not easy but I'm enjoying every bit of it.
"I would be genuinely happy, if Angel would announce her pregnancy," She suddenly changed the topic. Well, not entirely but you know, kinda different one. "But knowing Angel,"
There's a glint of sadness in her eyes when she says that last sentence.
"What about Angel?" I asked curiously. She probably knows Angel more than I do. Angel and I knew each other for more than eight years-- going nine to be exact-- but Ariadne knew her since their earliest memory as a human being.
"Among our family members, it is only Angel that I had a hard time figuring out," she chuckled with the thought of that. "She once said, she didn't want to have her own family as it would just be her weakness. I asked her; how about the organization's heir?"
"What did she answer?" I curiously asked. I slightly glanced at Jasmine who has been listening to our conversation, not really joining.
She let out a soft laugh before she answered my question, continuing her story about Angel.
"She said, her brother would probably impregnate someone." We both laugh with the thought of Angel saying that. "The thought of Angel being engaged, having her here to protect you all against the danger in your lives, and thinking of her future with us makes me really happy for her. She has grown so much,"
Ariadne is like a sister to Angel. Even though I didn't know her personally, I just felt like she's the truest friend to Angel.
"It must be painful for her not having his brother here with us," Ariadne said while looking at Jasmine. She flinched and looked away. "And it must be painful for you too,"
Jasmine and I remain silent. I didn't bother to speak nor Jasmine. She must not feel well to talk about Inigo.

When I woke up, Xian was still asleep. I carefully removed his arm on my waist and got out of the bed. I took the phone Ariadne gave me above the side table of the bed and dialed Ariadne's number.
I went inside the balcony so I wouldn't bother the sleeping Xian.
Dialing Ariadne...
"Hey," I greeted her as soon as she answered the phone.
[Hey, what made you call? Is everything all right? I just left the villa. Should I go back?] She sounds panicking.
I laughed with her response. She must be really worried.
[I guess you're fine. You're laughing.] Her mood suddenly changed. She seems worried earlier and now she's bitching.
"Yes I'm fine." I confirmed.
[So?]
"I'm just going to ask for an update regarding the battlefield," I should be mapping out my plan so I would know which plan would not be applicable for us.
[Right. I actually wanted to talk to you about that but you were sleeping.]
"Xian made me sleep,"
[Whatever! I have already sent your application forms to Hera. She's the one handling all the recruitment in the islands,]
"Do we need to do something?" So we can immediately attend to our needs.
[You have three days to train yourselves. It's going to be held in the Labyrinth Centrum, obviously the center of the island. The Battlefield is specially designed for the island's annual recruitment. It's open for everyone.]
"What are the mechanics?"
[You'll be assigned to a battle that matches your ability and skills. If you happen to win the battle, you'll have the privilege to choose which sub organization you want to belong to. For those who lost,, the sub organizations will deliberately choose which applicants they think have potential.]
After our conversation about the Battlefield, I went inside the room. Ariadne told me she'll immediately come back and will just do something in their headquarters.
Xian just woke up and he's still rubbing his eyes. Such a cutie,
"Who were you talking to?" He asked while scratching his hair.
"It was Ariadne. We were talking about the Battlefield that will be held in three days. It's our only pass to officially and legally enter the island," He stopped from stretching out his arms and looked at me.
"Is three days enough for us to train?" He seriously asked.
"That's why we should immediately announce the news to them so we can start the training," I said while offering my hands to him.
I was about to pull him up but he suddenly pulled me, pinning down the bed. I squealed when he did that.
"Xian," He laughed as I called him. It's actually a warning.
"Ito na, tatayo na."
I didn't bother to pull him up after I stood up. I went inside the bathroom to check my face. I look a bit puffy but looks good. I didn't try to put some makeup on and just went downstairs. Xian followed me.
Xian and I ate lunch together. The rest have already eaten their lunch.
After eating our lunch, we called them in the receiving area to announce the Battlefield.
"That early?" Jasmine asked.
I just announced that the Battlefield will be held in three days.
"Yes, that early," I was about to answer but someone did it for me. It's Ariadne. She's with her council-s***h-friends.
They sat on the other part of the sofa but Ariadne sat beside me.
"You don't have to worry. The Battlefield only measures the strength," Elissa said.
I'm thankful that they are contributing to our conversation. It's actually helpful since they know how the Battlefield works.
"And individual skills too," Heracles continued.
The thing is that we know our own skills and strength. But what we should worry about is whether we still master our skills.
"I have a concern," Jasmine raised her right hand as she said that. We all shifter our gaze to her. I nodded and she continued. "We are planning to save Shawn on the night of the party for the success of recruitment. Is Shawn not going to participate in the Battlefield?"
"Right it's in three days," Michael
"You should not worry about that." Red spoke. They all looked at him confused. "Angel and Ariadne have already looked into that,"
Right after Red said those words, they all looked at us. Ariadne and I looked at each other smirking.
Of course, we have already thought of that.
