Chapter 13: Saving the King

"Are we ready?"

Ariadne asked. She's wearing a champagne-colored sequin gown. It was tight enough to show her natural curves. Her hair is straightened and parted in the middle. 

I glanced at the blueprint of the building where my brother is. It's not going to be too hard as we have already memorized the entire building, plus we have Hector. He seems to know every detail of the headquarters. 

"Yes."

"Make sure you won't interchange the new plan to our previous. It might cause conflict." I said while fixing my gun. I attached a silencer to it so It would not cause any sound later. "Jasmine, Hector, and Xian will come to me. Jasmine and I will enter the building while Hector and Xian will wait outside," 

I rerun the plan again. I saw Xian rolling his eyes.

Xian and I argued earlier. Why does he have to wait outside when he can accompany us? My point was, in case of sudden unfortunate events, either one of them can get inside while the other can ask for help. 

"Okay. We will be going first. We cannot afford to lose the party," Ariadne said. 

"Yes we will go first. Our communication devices are already activated." Elissa said. She's wearing a plain red suit and her hair looks sleek. 

"Take care," 

I'm now left with Xian, Jasmine, Hector, Heracles, and Margarett. 

We are wearing an all black outfit, as if we are planning to rob someone else's house.

I wore my special lenses. I also asked them to wear one. It's a lense that would help us to see easily in dark places.

I checked my holster in my waist and legs. My guns and ammunition are all packed up. We're also bringing a small backpack full of devices that can dismantle any possible alarms or security devices. 

"Let's go."

I said. We went out of the house and went inside the van. Hector was the one driving. 

It didn't take us long enough to get on the border of the Minotaur. There's a speed boat that was waiting for us. 

"Let's do this."

Xian, Jasmine, and I took the ride with Hector. We sailed first, then Heracles will follow, and then Margarett. 

Since we will be travelling half way of the island, we need to check if there are problems. Margarett and Heracles will be stationed in the middle of the border of Agamemnon's and Knossos'. They will drop us near the border and they will drive the speedboat back where they will be stationed. 

I checked the wrist watch I'm wearing. I still have an hour before the party. Like I said to my brother three days ago, I activated his communication device and connected them to mine using my cellphone. 

We hopped out of the speedboat, Margarett immediately maneuvered the speed boat away from the Knossos border. 

The main headquarters where my brother is detained is not far away from the border we decided to break in. 

We ran silently and got close to the border. Xian took out an alarm detector and checked if there are hidden alarms on the border. 

"Negative," He said. 

We immediately climbed over the border. 

We followed Hector as he ran towards the direction he told us. Then a little later, we saw the headquarters. I checked the screen of my phone where I can see my brother's location. 

"Positive," I said. 

We all ran again near the back of the building. 

Xian was the one who kept on detecting devices for us. When we reached the headquarters, I stopped myself from entering. 

"Xian if things get complicated, make sure you'll get Hector out of Knossos border." 

His brows furrowed but then he nodded. He just knew how complicated things will be if Hector will be seen inside the border of the Knossos.

"Let's go Jasmine." I didn't bother to wait for her response and pulled up my mask upward to cover half of my face. I took out my gun and used my other hand to detect devices. "We'll be there brother," 

I just heard my brother chuckle when I said that. Jasmine also helped me detect devices. 

We entered the back side of the headquarters. There are no men lurking around so Jasmine and I immediately went upstairs where my brother is. I saw on my phone that we're almost there.

"It's here," I said to Jasmine as we stopped in front of a closed door. 

I stopped her from entering. It just felt weird that we're able to get inside with no sweat at all. 

"We should hurry," She whispered. I just nodded and turned the door knob. It's not locked. 

The inside of the room was dimmed since there's just one light that's making the room bright. 

I saw my brother sitting on the cold floor with chains on his both feet and hand. 

I suddenly felt furious seeing him in that situation. Jasmine immediately ran to him to unchain him. I went inside to help but stopped when I heard a chuckle.

"Isn't it amazing how we knew that you'll be here to save your filthy brother?"

I turned around and saw Minos leaning on the wall while Pasiphae was sitting on the monobloc with a glass of wine in her hand. 

"I guess the queen is brave enough to enter our border. You must be happy seeing your brother again," 

Minos stood up properly. I just noticed that he's wearing a suit. While Pasiphae is wearing navy blue gown. 

"Yet busted," Pasiphae said. She crossed her legs and leaned on the monobloc chair. "We have ears too," She said while tracing the diamond earring she's wearing. 

They must have discovered the earring that my brother has been wearing.

Group of men suddenly went inside the room. There are at least twenty of them and it would take us a lot of time to fight with them, might as well go with the flow.

I raised both my hands. Jasmine looks confused as she's still pointing her gun towards Pasiphae. I just nodded and slowly she raised her both hands. 

Two men approached us and took our guns. I groaned when the man twisted my arm and started tying them. They also did the same with Jasmine. They also took the other guns in my holsters. 

"I like this," Pasiphae said while scanning the guns that their men put on the table. 

"Tie them up properly." Minos said while fixing his suit. "We still have a party to attend to," He said and took Pasiphae's hand. 

The men tied our hands at our back. They pushed us near my brother and also tied our feet. 

My brother was just staring at us being tied up. When Minos seems to be satisfied that we're all tied up, he leaves the room with Pasiphae. 

Nagbilin pa siya sa mga tauhan nila bago tuluyang umalis. 

[What's happening Angel?] I heard Xian in my earpiece. [Minos and Pasiphae just left with a car,] He continued. I didn't respond since there are still men inside the room. 

"All tied up," The man said in a deep voice. 

The men went out of the room, locking us three inside the room.

"We're busted," Jasmine said. 

[What? Do you want me to go there?] Xian sounds worried. 

"I want you to clear up the first floor. Meet us in the stair," 

[Copy that,] Xian said.

[I'll be an eye here,] Hector said. 

[What's happening Angel?] I suddenly heard Ariadne's voice. 

"Minos and Pasiphae knew that we will be here," 

[Are you still there?]

"Yes. Don't worry we'll be on time,"

[Please make sure of that,] 

I didn't bother to respond and started to move. 

I tucked my tied feet close to my thigh and pushed myself upward with my tied hands in my back. I started hopping towards Jasmine and went to her back. 

"What are you doing?" Jasmine asked while I was hopping. 

"I have a knife underneath my combat boots. Get it and untie me,"  Her confused eyes turned with courage and extended her tied hands to reach my boots. I extended my legs so she could have more access.

She slowly raised the hem of my jogger pants to reveal my hidden knife. She was struggling raising the pants and so I helped her by biting the pants upward.

Later, she was able to pull out the knife. 

"Wait, I'll turn around." I said. 

I tucked again my tied feet and pushed my body upwards with my tied hands. When I was able to sit on my feet, I slowly hopped to turn around. I also hopped closer to her so she could reach for my tied hands. 

I felt my sweat building up as Jasmine slowly reached for my tied hands. She started cutting the tie. I felt a slight sting when she cut me unintentionally with the knife. 

"Oh god. There's blood," She said panicking as she saw the tie on my hand coated with my blood. 

"It's fine. Get it through," She tried to calm and try to cut my tie faster. When I felt the tie losing up, I used my force to help her cut it off. 

The moment I released myself, I untied my feet and then untied Jasmine.

"I'm sorry," Jasmine said while looking at my bleeding hand. 

"It's fine. Let's get my brother out of here," I said and helped Jasmine to untie my brother. 

"I'll just get the gun," I said. She continued untying my brother while I took every gun they took from us earlier. I slid all my guns back in the holsters. I also did the same with Jasmine while she was untying my brother. 

My brother is too weak to walk alone and so Jasmine put my brother's arm on her shoulder. I cling my hands on my brother's other arm to help them up. 

My brother tried to walk but he's just too weak. 

Jasmine and I were both holding guns as we went out of the room. I just shoot the doorknob so we can get out. I was also holding the tie that has my blood on it. We can't afford t leave any trace.

"Xian where are you? We're almost there,"

[Already here,]

I immediately shot the men that saw us walking out of the room. It did not create any sound as my gun has a silencer on it. 

Jasmine and I walked again and reached the stare. Xian immediately went to us and carried my brother on his back. He stared at my bleeding hand for a bit but still continued.

"Let's go," Xian said. 

Jasmine remained at the back of Xian to support my brother while also guarding the back, while I'm guarding them up front. 

Hector also helped Xian with my brother as we ran. 

"Heracles now," I said through my earpiece while we were running. 

[Roger,]

When we reached the border, Hector jumped out first and helped Xian to get my brother to cross the border. My brother started to regain his conscious. Jasmine and I also crossed the border. 

We saw an approaching speedboat and so we ran to the shore so we can immediately hop on the boat.

Heracle and Margarett helped us to hop on the boat. Margaret gave us bottled water. They are already dressed with their gowns. 

"Here drink this," Margarett gave my brother a bottle of medicine that would help his fatigue. 

"We already got him out," I announced through my earpiece.
