CHAPTER 31: THE AFTERMATH

I felt so disappointed. Sun didn’t look at me like how he looked at me last night when we were happily watching the moonlit sky. He acted normal again, as if  “it” didn’t happen last night. As if nothing had changed between us. When I walked towards Sun and Cloud, he acted just like how he used to treat me. Sun even ignored me at some point. He didn’t even ask if I were okay. I gave Cloud an awkward smile when he asked me how I was feeling. “How are you feeling now, Moon?” asked Mrs. Smith. “I-I’m feeling okay now, thank you, Mrs. Smith,” I politely replied. “That’s good. But today’s event would be tiring. Would you be fine if you’d join the game this afternoon?” I nodded. “I’ll be fine. I had plenty of time to regain my strength.” “That’s good. Alright, I think we can start now.”
