CHAPTER 3

AVIGNON 1992

“No! My daughter! She is not dead! I can’t accept that!” the mother cries for her two years old girl that died from an illness.

“I am sorry Samantha but we did everything we could, Avhel can’t make it anymore,” the family doctor said

The Bernards couple can’t accept the death of their daughter and decided to stay in the hospital room for few hours until Mrs. Bernards calms herself.

Bernards family is known for their businesses all over the country, they are famous in Industrial technology, also in their airline company, they always belong in the annual list of successful and billionaire family in the country, however, their only daughter was born with illness, she is sick from the start, they hired and seek for the best doctor to cure and healed their child but unfortunately, they didn’t succeed in curing her.

When Mrs. Bernards is already calm, she now agrees with her husband that their child will be transferred to the mortuary but when they about to move her, there is a scream from a doctor and nurses of the child inside the room.

“The child……the child is alive!!” the Nurses shout

“Good heavens… Avhel is alive Samantha!” the doctor said

“W-what are you saying..? How is she alive?” Mrs. Bernards asks

“I-I was just starting prepping her before she moves to the mortuary, I hold her hand and her finger move and her eye suddenly open” the nurse explained

Mrs. Bernards walk towards her daughter then touch her face; she was surprised when the child opens her eyes.

“Mom..” the child said

Mrs. and Mr. Bernards hug their child give thanks to the doctors who saved their child.

However, all the doctors still wonder how a dead child suddenly became alive.

On the other hand, at the church of St. Benedict, a pregnant woman is waiting for her husband when she felt her water dripping down her legs.

“Help! Please help me! “The woman shouts for help as she was about to deliver her baby

The people around help her to get to the hospital, along the way her husband is also on his way.

At the emergency, the nurses hurriedly bring the mother to the delivery room, on the stretcher they bump into a wheelchair of a girl with her parents.

“Please look at the way! There is a child here!” the father of the girl shouts

“I am sorry sir, we need to quickly bring her to the delivery room, now will you excuse us,” the head nurse said and continuously pushes the stretcher to the delivery room.

The girl on the wheelchair remained her eyes to the tummy of the pregnant woman which was noticed by her mother.

“Is there anything wrong sweetie?” the mother asks

“No mom, can we now go home?” the child asks and the mother nods at her.

TWENTY-SIX YEARS LATER MANILA PHILIPPINES 2018

BERNARDS CORPORATION

The entire employees have gathered around as their Vice president of the company needs to announce a very important matter.

“Everyone listen, the new CEO of Bernards Corps. Will be here anytime soon today, please check everything from the cleanliness of the company to all the reports that you need to do, please be aware that there will be a change in everything around here understand?” the vice president said

Everyone agrees and goes back to their work.

After an hour, the newly promoted CEO arrives at the company and everyone was busy preparing to meet her, she heads her way with her father the chairman of the company to the Board room to meet everyone.

“Good day everyone, as the chairman of this company, I am here to introduce my only child and daughter Mhavel Claude Bernards the newly appointed CEO of our company,” the chairman said and everyone gives her a round of applause.

The new CEO just expresses a blank reaction to everyone, she doesn’t really like mingling with the crowd and so she just gives them a simple smile.

Her father the chairman encourages her to say something but she did not mind and just ignore her father, he used to his daughter's actions and so he didn’t force her to do it.

As the introduction ends, she walks towards her office with her father.

“You supposed or at least greet everyone Avhel!” the chairman said

“Oh cut the crap dad! You know it is not my thing! I can manage the whole business and company but don’t expect me to talk and mingle to everyone!” she exclaimed while sitting and leaning on her swivel chair

The chairman just let out a deep breath and just sits on the couch and lets her daughter do what she wants.

“Fine, Then make sure you will handle this company for your mom!” the chairman said

She just remained silent hearing about her mother who just passed away last year.

Mhavel finished all her major in business, she was known for her great mind as a student, she is just timid and silent to everyone and just talk to people she chooses as a friend, but beyond that lies a very bad habit and attitude, she loves car racing and spending time in the night club with her so-called friends which is also the daughters of the famous businessman in the country they do what they want like bratty and spoiled children even they are all in the right age, Mhavel don’t take no for an answer in everything she wants to people, she even used to buy people’s choice and decision, she believes that being nice and good has always come with a price and that exactly how she treats them like an item that can be sold. Having rude treatment to everyone will be hard to her enemy and that will be the biggest mistake.

Bernards family originally resided in France but moved to the Philippines the homeland of Mrs. Samantha Bernards.

When her mom died last year she easily became outgoing and just spent her whole life in leisure, but when her dad told her that the last wish of her mom was for her to take over the company and take care of her dad which has a medical issue as well she can’t disagree with it and decided to fulfill her mother’s last wish.

After her dad left to go home she spends time in the company on her first day, she found out a lot of discrepancies in all reports and audits of the whole year's annual gross of the company.

She leaned her back on her chair and massage her temple trying to control her anger about what she discovers, instead of dealing with all the mistakes on the reports since it’s her first day she get out of the office early and head her way to a hotel owned by her mom, she has a purposed every time she chooses to stay at a VIP room and all the employee knows it.

Upon getting in the room a naked man is waiting for her, she looks and stares at his perfect physique and slowly taking off her blouse down to her slacks until only her undergarments left.

Wearing only a bra and panty, she slowly walks towards the naked man then wrapped her arms around his neck; the man slowly touches her waist and starts kissing her neck and shoulders.

She releases a soft moan then the man takes off all that covers her gorgeous body then lifted her to the bed, he slowly opens her legs and the man placed himself between her legs to point his manhood to her core that is already wet.

He teases her a little by rubbing his shaft to her pearl, she begins to feel the sensation and make her moan a little louder.

“Ooooohh….just take me now!” she whispered

“I would love to” the man responded then slowly inserted his shaft in her core and easily moves it in and out,

His maneuver was continuously digging her hole, and he begins to fasten the thrust of his shaft, he grabs her hips while pumping her intensely.

Then he changes her position in dog style then continues the thrust, while pumping, he caresses the two large mounts that added sensation to her.

Few hours passed and Mhavel is nakedly sitting in front of the window while drinking her wine and lighten her cigars.

The man on the bed that was sleeping suddenly wakes up and walks towards her and was about to kiss her neck when she stopped him.

“Enough, your job is done, the payment will be on your account, now please leave!” she said

The man was embarrassed by the way she treated him and felt angry with it, instead of going out he grabs her arms and forcedly kiss her but he was shocked when he saw her face, he was stoned in his position with wide eyes, Mhavel  was surprised by his action then manage to get inside the washroom to look at herself, she tries to calm herself with what she saw on her face then remembers the man who sees it, when she gets out of the washroom the man has already left the room and so Mhavel hurriedly dialled her cellphone,

“Dad, someone saw it, please do something about it! I will give you the details; he can’t get away with my secret! Kill him if you must!” she exclaimed then ends the call.
