Naya looked up at her father. What he was saying sounded reasonable and she could see the confidence in his eyes. He was confident Naya could do it. However, staying in a tunnel and climbing a tree were far too different tasks. Naya stood and stared at the dark tunnel ahead. Fear crept into her young heart. She lowered her head and admitted, “I-I’m sorry, father, but I think I need to train myself more in the cave.” They had done training in a mountain cave before. It was smaller than this tunnel but at least there were huge cracks that permitted lights to enter. In addition, it was done only for a few hours and during the day.
