CLAUDIUS is currently looking for Theodred, saglit niyang iniwan si Lady Adelaide para hanapin ito. He look around and he tried to sense where part is Theodred's presense is coming from.

He was about to go there but he suddenly felt the urge to pee. Kaya't minabuti niya munang unahin ito, alam niya naman kaya ni Rainier ang sarili at alam nito ang mga limitasyon.

Looking for restroom took him like forever. At nang mairaos, naghugas siya ng kamay at saglit tiningnan ang sarili sa salamin.

He is wearing all black tuxedo that complimented his dark eyes are hair. Itim din ang maskarang tumatabon sa kalahati ng mukha.

Napapamulsa siyang lumabas ng restroom, ngunit sa isang kwarto, habang naglalakad. Because of his enhanced sense of hearing, just like what other Nobles have, he heard two persons talking. He isn't interested about the business of other people, but something caught his attention.

"You are a Noble Leader, you should know better."

"Old man, don't use that tone in me, remember that your clan needs me."

"Don't be too full of yourself, you think you can survive on the path you choose to take without any support from us? You will rot and die if it's not because of us."

Natahimik ang kausap ng narinig niyang boses na mukhang matanda na. A Noble Leader, huh? It must be something serious. But are they at the same clan? He wonder.

"What? Cat got your tongue? You are still young and you think you already know a lot of things in this world."

He heard a sarcastic laugh.

"Old man, I hate hearing this kind of speech, you are so entitled just because you were born years ahead of me, but your mindset f*****g sucks, you aren't even any better than me, because mind you, we're on the freaking same path."

"Your language really taints na Noble Leaders reputation, no wonder, you're as miserable as this. You'll die without anyone knowing."

"Ah, yeah? Atleast I'm not as hypocrite as them, f**k 'em, feeling so high and mighty but they are all as worse as half bloods."

He heard a laugh from the voice of the old man this time. He don't know why he's listening to someone's dispute.

"You are worst. Don't forget that."

"Ah. What are you called them? Your clan are greedy f*****g monsters."

Nagkibit balikat na lamang siya at naglakad paalis kasabay ng buntong hininga.

The fight must be eating them so much that they didn't even felt his presence nearby.

He look for Theodred again. Mukhang mahinahon na ito dahil hindi niya na ramdam ang biglaang lakas nito. Ngunit, halos sumakit ang ulo niya dahil sa biglaang paglakas ng pamilyar na presensya mula sa isang Noble.

Fuck. What is wrong with them? Una si Theodred, ngayon ay ang King. Some who are around the area almost collapsed because of it's intensity. May ilang tuluyang napaupo, at ang iba ay hawak hawak ang sariling ulo tila sumasakit. May iilan naman na nananatiling nakatayo tulad niya at tinitingnan kung saan nanggaling ang malakas na presensya na iyon.

"What happened to the King?" biglang sulpot ni Theodred sa gilid niya, kunot ang noo nito at madilim ang ekspresyon.

"This is very familiar, don't you think?" he asked.

"I don't think so."

"You were like this a moment ago, you must have gone through the same thing."

Napangisi siya nang gumalaw ang panga nito at sinundan ng tingin ang pinanggagalingan ng presensya kung saan naroon ang Hari.

"Let's see what's happening," aya niya rito.

Naglakad sila patungo sa Hari, at kita niyang may isang lalaki roon at ang kaniyang pinaglilingkuran ay hawak nito. His eyebrows crossed because of what he just saw.

Mamadaliin niya pa sana ang paglalakad ngunit hinawakan ni Theodred ang balikat niya. Paglingon niya ay nakatingin ito sa isang hallway, it was a bit darker at that part.

Kita niyang may babaeng naglalakad sa gitna nito, at may iilang naroroon.

"Let's check something first," Theodred said.

Nilingon niya ang Hari at si Lady Adelaide na malapit na sana nilang mapuntahan at ang hallway kung saan gustong pumunta ng kasama.

Kunot noo niya itong tinanong, "What for?"

Nag-iwas ito ng tingin saglit at ibinalik din ng seryoso sa kaniya, "That was Zara Philips, I think she's heading up somewhere..."

"And?" taka niyang tanong.

"Just go."

Wala na siyang nagawa nang ipagtulakan siya nito sa parteng iyon ng palasyo ng mga Noble Leaders.

Oh, wait. He met that Zara Philips once, he had a meeting with some of the Leaders and she's one of them. Is Theodred suspicious of that girl? Must be it.

Nang makarating sa gitna ng hallway, may iilan pang maliliit na pasilyo sa bawat pagitan nito, at hindi na nila nakita ang babae.

"Damn it." rinig niyang bulong ni Theodred sa kaniyang gilid. Naglabas ito ng pamaypay, at maharas na pinaypayan ang sarili.

"Ah, I think, it'll be better if we take the presence sealing pill. I'm really having a weird feeling but I am not really sure," he suggested.

Ininom niya at ang isa at ang isa pa ay ibinigay niya kay Theodred na walang pag-aalinlangang ininom ito.

They walk in the hallway much further, they aren't making any sounds and even their footsteps are quiet.

He was about to step forward when he felt a strong presense from one of the mini hallways.

Maging si Theodred ay natigilan, kunot ang noo ito at halatang may iniisip.

From there, he saw two shadows in front of them. At alam niyang isang hakbang lamang malalaman ng mga ito na may nakakarinig na sa kanila.

"Headmaster, I am sure you have a lot on your sleeves."

"Of course, but make sure you won against the opposition, you are a big shot on your clan."

"Who would side to them anyways? We got the largest on our part, just you wait, and we'll win this, even the King won't budge."

"How sure are you? He is the king."

"He'll listen to the majority, and we'll make sure of that."

"I am not quite sure, but I will trust your clan this time, don't disappoint the academy."

Sabay nagtawanan ang dalawang naririnig siya. What the hell is wrong with this place? Lousy strategies in politics are still happening? This sucks.

Nauna siyang maglakad paalis at nailing na lamang tulad ng kanina. Why does he have to hear those shits again? And he really wasted his time for that? Unbelievable.

"I know that Headmaster." sambit ni Theodred na ikinalingon niya habang naglalakad.

"Really? Who is he?"

"The Headmaster of the most prestige academy in the whole Nobilis. He is the top supporter of the new manual."

The manual, there must be something there that even the Headmaster is fond of it. Or there must be something in the old one that makes him opposed to it.

"According to him, Nobles aren't heroes to protect the weak, he see no point of it."

"Oh. Is he really the Headmaster of the most prestigious academy, did I heard that wrong?"

Ngumisi ito sa kaniya, "You heard me right, Lawyart, and the lowest in the ranking supports the old manual."

Ah. No wonder. Those who look down on the manual, cannot see what's the higher meaning on it. But those who humbles themselves knows how to look up on it.

"I don't want the top academy to win on this."

"Me as well, the students body is a big mess, and they are going to make it messier by adding the ridiculous hierarchy system made by the new manual."

Kumunot lalo ang noo niya at hindi nagustuhan ang narinig.

"What do you mean, hierarchy?"

"Teaching kids that Nobles are higher and they should have much higher authority than the other races. Teaching them that being weak as a Noble is a sin, of course that's the exactly what it is saying but that is the point."

Oh. That is really f****d up.

If things go that way, there will be a lot of hard headed Nobles and worse, there will be a lot of ice added in the cold war going on for years.

Hindi pwedeng mabago ang manual. The old might seem they are molding a saint, but the new will turn the students into a much evil creatures, and he hope the King won't allow any of that.

Politics in human countries are nothing compared to the politics here, but the King holds much power than anyone else, and the King can choose not to listen the the screams and wants of many if he wants.

But the King is still very trusted by the Nobilis, he can see that, even if he only goes here few in the hundred of years he's away and waiting for his lady.

"Let's look for Lady Adelaide," aya niya niya na lamang dito.

Naglakad lakad sila sa paligid, ngunit mukhang itinago ng hari ang presensya nito at ang kaniyang pinaglilingkuran naman ay normal lamang na hindi niya maramdaman.

One thing he really look up on the King is his multiple ability and powers, it is so many that it will scare those who knew. Pero mas matatakot ang marami sa kaniyang binibini. Lady Adelaide is not known long ago as the strongest and protector of all for nothing. She stands above if they are going to talk about strong. That's why they are all startled to know she had a problem with her powers, and it is terrifying to know that she became weak after what she had gone through being a strong woman all throughout her life. It must be hard to cope up.

But he is really thankful that everything is going fine for his lady as of now. What he really hope is to end all the strings of the present events from the past, he just want peace and for the to be happy.

"I saw that gorgeous lady with the King, who is she? She's not familiar."

"I am not sure, myself. But I don't sense anything from her."

"She must be a human, then?"

"Really, a human with that kind of beauty?"

"But there's also a chance that she's either a Noble or a half blood."

"What do you mean? I don't sense her presence."

"Well, you see, I saw a pill circling around the black market website, and there's presence sealing pill there, it is quite pricey, but it is really effective except that there's a horrible side effect after it worn out."

"Oh, then, she must be Noble or a half blood.

"But I am really jealous, did you see how the first ranked Noble Leader held her in his arms? And the King too!"

Hindi niya mapigilang marinig ang mga usap usapan sa paligid. If they are talking about his lady's appearance, she must have put off her veil. This is really dangerous, if someone took a picture of her, for sure her image will spread out knowing her exceptional beauty. The old enemies and the Sancire Organization will be curious about her, it is the organization of the half bloods.

And he's afraid, the humans will also take a liking on her and will film her wherever she goes. She hates attention and for sure she'll hate media even more.

But that's just his wild thinking. He hope no one really bothered to take a photo of her with the King and the first ranked Noble Leader.

"Seems like they don't want to be spotted. Let's just wait for his Majesty and Master. They will come out on their own," said Theodred that made him nod.

Right. What the King hates the most is being disturbed when he's alone with his lady. Sometimes the King is really pissing him off, but he got used to it. It's that just, that ruthless and cold blooded king is changing whenever he's with her. It was like a whole different person that it is creeping him out.

"The King must be enjoying himself as of the moment," he can't help but to say.

Natawa si Theodred sa kaniya kaya't agad niya itong sinamaan ng tingin. He fan himself and revert his eyes away from him.

"Well, let the King enjoy this, he suffered for hundred of years too." bulong bulong nito.

Bumuntong hininga siya at tumango bilang pagsang-ayon. He has a point and besides, the King deserves time with her too. He understands that, they all understand that.

Para sa kaniya, ito ang pinakanaghirap ng mga panahong nakaselyo ang kaniyang pinaglilingkuran. Ilang taon itong nawala at hindi nakausap dahil sa nangyari. Nagbago rin ito at naging malupit sa mga kaaway nito. In the earlier years, sobrang walang tiwala sa iba ang Hari, maging sila ay nakakatanggap ng galit mula rito. Wala itong pinagkakatiwalan dahil mismong kaibigan ang tumraydor sa kanila.
