"Hey," I greeted.
She was walking downstairs with her left hand on the handrail of the staircase, and her serious eyes were not leaving mine. My lips stretched a bit to form a faint smile.
"Is Yus ok—"
"He said that he doesn't want any visitors today," she simply said.
My lips parted. Huh? It was Yus who said that he wants me upstairs.
"But Yus wants me—"
"Huh? Kakasabi niya nga lang na ayaw niya raw ng bisita. Are you deaf or something?" she said with brows furrowed before rolling her eyes to me.
Then she turned her attention to the househelper who was just watching us—doesn't know what to do to us.
"Aalis na po ako," then she smiled a bit.
