Ernie was sitting at the counter while rubbing her still throbbing head. Her fever has gone down after she slept at the campus clinic for a long time. But her head was still aching and throbbing. Ernie still went to work even though she was not feeling really well. She couldn't afford to be absent from work because her finances would be tighter if she missed work even just for a day.
Even though today was an ordinary day, the coffee shop has less customers compared to any other day. Ernie was thankful for that because she could get a little bit of rest.
Thank God, for this rest. I am a little bit dizzy but I am feeling better than earlier today. I hope this will continue just for today.
