The Pirate Ship is crowded. On the dance floor, me and Keigan see two big strong men holding a tiny woman who is screaming at the top of her lungs.
The woman is Vanessa Stein.
"Murderers! Murderers!" pagsisi-sigaw niya.
"Oh, no." nasabi ko nalang.
Keigan steps towards them, with his badge on one hand at isang b***l sa isang kamay.
"Freeze! Police!"
"Murderers! Let me go!" pagmamakaawa ni Vanessa.
The music is loud kaya walang nakakakinig sakaniya. I grab the g*n of Keigan at binaril sa loudspeakers.
"Let her go, we are taking over. Mga pulis kami!"
Tinignan ako ni Vanessa.
"Dumating ka! They,they...I didn't know pero sila..."
"It's alright, Vanessa, sama ka nalang samin."
"It's not all right! They killed him!"
'How do I calm her down?'
Authority.
"Stop sobbing at once!"
"Arrest them, alam mong sila!"
"You are putting the investigation at risk. Please, sama ka samin. We are catching the murderer, I promise."
"You?! But look at you, all made up for a night out! What murderer are you ever going to catch?!"
"OK, that's it! Keigan, handcuff her!"
"What?!" pinosasan siya ni Keigan. "What are you doing?!"
I start dragging her outside.
While I am dragging her, many people surrounds us.
"Umalis kayo sa daan namin mga tao! Ano ang tinitingin-tingin niyo dyan?! You've never seen the party edition of the police uniform?"
"Wow.." nasabi ni Keigan.
"Ano nang sasabihin mo ngayon, Mr. Big Shot?"
