Chapter 7
Rainiellaine’s POV
“Mommy?” Den asked while yawning
She’s so cute. A simple smile from her and everything seems fine because she’s innocent.
“Hi Den!” I greeted her
“Hola gomo.” She greeted back
“Another langguage? Seriously ate Ianna? Balak mo ba pasabugin ang utak ni Den?” Mia asked Ria
“Bakit ikaw rin naman ah. Ilang langguage ang alam mo?” Ria asked
And just like that we forgot all the drama.
“Good afternoon, Den.” Mia greeted the little innocent angel in front of us
“Buenas Tardes, Mommy.” She said and kissed Mia on the cheeks
“Don’t I have a kiss too, baby girl?” Ria asked
“Buenas tardes, Mommy Anna.” She greeted and kissed Ria then she walked towards me and kissed my cheeks
“Where’s ate Dawn?” She asked us
“She’s at her home.” Mia answered then Den sat on her lap
“Where’s your kuya?” I asked her
“He’s still asleep.” She answered and yawned
“You’re still sleepy?” Ria asked
“Nope *yawn. Maybe.” She said and closed her eyes while hugging Mia
“Papatulugin ko lang ulit.” Mia said and went to a room
“How can they handle it?” I asked Ria when we were left alone
“Which?” she asked then I looked at her meaningfully
“The fact that Mia, Me and my twin look like carbon copies? Well they’re coping up fast. Rimjae somehow don’t know the difference between the three of us, .” Ria said
“Naturally. Rimjae’s barely 1 year old.” I said and we chuckled
“7 months actually.” She said and I looked at her
“Aren’t you – too young to have kids to take care of?” she cut me and I nodded
“Well it was worth it. They’re our stress reliever most of the time.” She said with a smile
“How do they cope up?” I asked her
“Jaerim and Rimiel are used to it. Seeing one or two of the three of us here. We don’t get in one place often.” She said
“Was it hard? I mean taking care of the kids?” I asked
“Asking like you didn’t experience it.” She said and we both chuckled
She’s right. I did experience taking care of two playful and adorable kids
“Fine fine it was somehow hard, wasn’t it?” I said
“It was but it’s worth it.” She said then someone else came in
“Hey Rainiellaine.” She said and hugged me
“Elle.” I greeted
“So what are you doing here?” She asked
“Girl talk.” I answered
“Ah. Wait where’s Mia?” she asked then Mia came out from a room
“Binantayan ko sina Den.” Mia said then kissed Elle on the cheeks
“I left her sleeping.” She said
“Yeah and she woke up earlier.” Ria said
“Jea, I have to leave again, business meetings are stacked up.” Elle said and went to the room I guessed is her room to change
“See why only one or two of the three of us stay here.” she said and I got the picture
Ria and Elle sometimes exchange places.
“Seriously ate Ianna?” Mia asked Ria
“Duh they should really learn how to speak different langguages.” Ria said and laughed
“Last week I heard Jaerim speak Russian. Plano mo bang pasabugin ang utak nila?” Mia asked
“No. Ikaw rin naman ah. Ilang langguage ang inaral mo?” Ria countered
“Ate Ianna, iba naman yun. I was already 7 nung magsimulang mag-aral ng iba’t ibang langguage but to remind you, Jaerim and Rimiel are only 3 years old.” Mia reasoned out
I can’t help but let a stiffled laugh at them
They aren’t sisters, Ria is a Smirnov while Mia is not but they act like twins.
“What’s the difference? It’s only 4 years earlier. They probably know 12 langguages at the age of 12.” Ria said and it is obvious she’s already teasing Mia
“Jea!/Ate Ianna!” Elle and Mia exclaimed
Looks like Elle heard it too when she came out of her room
“There’s no way I’ll let you teach Jaerim more langguages.” Elle said
“But Elle, - No buts.” Elle cut Ria’s reasoning
“Ate Ianna let them enjoy their childhood. I promise when they’re 9 or when they already want to learn I’ll let you. Slowly teach them.” Mia said and they all agreed
“I’ll get going then. It’s already late.” I excused to take their attention
“Won’t you stay for dinner? I’ll wake Jae and Den to join us.” Ria said
“Uh okay but why will you wake the two?” I asked
“We don’t eat if we’re incomplete when everyone’s actually home.” Elle said and we went to their dining room
After Mia and Elle served the food. Actually I wanted to help but they insist that I am a visitor so I don’t need to.
I saw Jaerim and Maiden walk toward her
“Evening, gomo.” Jaerim greeted me when he saw me
“Good Evening, Jaerim.” I greeted and kissed his cheeks
“Buenas Noches, gomo.” Den greeted me
“Buenas Noches to you too, Den.” I said and she kissed me on my cheeks I did the same to her too
Mia and Ria assisted them to sit on the chair.
“Mommy, Rim-rim’s crying.” Jaerim told Mia
Mia went out of the dining room
“I’m not, Kuya.” Den said
“Not you. Sean.” Jaerim said and pinched Den on the cheeks
“Mommy!” Den grunted and reached for Ria
“Rimiel, Jaerim, we have a visitor.” Ria said at patted the two
“Ba’t umiyak?” Elle asked
“Naingayan sa dalawa.” She said and we chuckled
Jaerim and Maiden are kids so it’s quite normal.
We ate and Mia fed Rimjae with crushed banana and berries.
“Why don’t you stay with Icelle’s brother?” I asked Mia when we’re in the sala
“I don’t want to. Besides, we’re both always going out and no one is left at home. At least here there’s someone who can take care of the kids alternately.” She said and swayed the baby Rimjae in her arms
“I should go home now.” I said
“Probably they’re already worried about you.” Ria said while combing Maiden’s hair
“Say bye to your ninang, Rim-rim.” Mia said and held Rimjae’s hand to bade goodbye
“Bye to you too, Rimjae.” I said and kissed Rimjae on his cheeks
“Maiden and you too Jaerim.” I said and kissed theire cheeks
“Adios,gomo/Sayonara, gomo.” They said in sync
“I’ll drop you off.” Elle said and I agreed
These three won’t let me win in a casual conversation.
“So how’s life?” I asked her while she’s driving
“Monotonous except when I’m at home.” Elle answered
“How old are you again whe- When I gave birth to Jaerim?” She continued
“I was more or less 16.” She said and smiled
“Did you ever regret it?” I asked
“What do you think?” she asked me
“No. Because if you did you could have just left him.” I answered
“You did the same too.” She said and I looked at the establishments we pass
“Rainiellaine, what was the matter? I know Jea and Mia like the back of my hand, they wouldn’t invite you at home if there was nothing going on.” She said
“I met the guy.” I asnwered
“Guy? Wait you mean?” she said and looked confused then shocked
Basing on her eaction she know who I’m talking about
“Do you blame him because of her?” she asked me
“No. If he never loved scratch that If he never made her feel loved then there wouldn’t be pillar who became my source of strenght when I needed one.” I answered
“Love really is powerful.” She said suddenly then sighed
“Have you ever fallen inlove, Elle?” I asked her
“You know I can’t. I’m not like any of you.” She said then stopped the car
“Elle..” I called her
“Rainiellaine, I already accepted it since I was a kid.” She said with a smile
“As you say so.” I replied
“Won’t you come in?” I offered when I unmounted her car
“Nah, just greet them for the three of us.” She said and drove away
I feel free.
Maybe opening up with those three helped me.
“Where have you been?” Aira asked
“Maiden.” I answered
“Maiden? How are they?” Jade asked
“If you were there you’d see Ria and Mia counter each other.” I said and sat on the sofa
“What did she do this time? Ria I mean.” Lana asked
“She just taught Den and Jaerim Spanish.” I said and they looked at me unbelievingly
“Last time they visited those two could speak Korean.” Aira said
“That’s why Mia and Elle countered.” I said
“What a great coincidence that theya are the carbon copies of each othere when in fact only Rianna and Rielle are twins.” Jade said
“We should sleep.” I said and we all ascended to our rooms
