Aira’s POV
Ramdam na ramdam na namin ang diwa ng pasko.
Kasalukuyan naming kausap si Rainiellaine sa phone habang papunta sa van.
“Any improvements?” tanong ni Icelle
[Ayaw parin niya ako kausapin.] Sabi niya
“Kakausapin ka rin nun, ikaw pa.” Sabi ni Jade
“Papaano naman yung isa pa?” tanong namin pagka start ko ng sasakyan
[Isa pa siya sa mga inaalala ko. It’s been 6 years, but up to now she’s still asleep. I don’t know what I would do, she’s the only one in par with her.] we feel the pain and longing in her voice
“Don’t worry Rainiellaine, magigising rin siya.” Sabi ko sa kanya
[But Nee-chan said she was able to talk to her.] sabi niya na ikinatigil namin
“You mean Mia was able to talk to her? Which one of them?” Halos kinakabahang tanong ni Lana
[Luckily, it was just Frey. I don’t know what could’ve happen if it was her, if it was Samantha. I gotta go, I miss you.] she said and hanged up
I can feel her nervousness when she said the last statement.
“Haay why did Samantha become stone hearted that much?” Jade asked sadly
“Because of Trauma.” Icelle answered
“But Icelle, we all witnessed how she coped up with it. She became colder that Ice a walking antartica because of her trauma.” Lana reasoned out
“She didn’t. It was Frey.” She said
I stopped the van and we went out towards the hallway.
“Damn! They have the same face, they are one character but there’s three of them who exist.” Jade complained while walking away from the van
“We have to understand her, them, Jade.” I told her
“I hope Samantha recovers soon.” Lana hoped
“We all know it’s impossible.” Icelle said
“ICELLE!!” we complained at her
“Don’t be such a pessimist.” Jade said
I somehow know and understand Icelle’s side. Only Icelle and I knew about the progress.
“What did the psychiatrist say?” Jade asked us
“Her mental and emotional stability is at risk. She is troubled mentally, emotionally and psychologically, because of what happened 6 years ago, because of what she found out.” I answered
I saw how their emotion shifted from hopeful to stone.
I know why, they would lose it any moment. They’re losing hope of her recovery.
We went to our classes in silence.
Calculus, Economics and Marketing are the only subjects we have with Rainiellaine and sadly she had to go to the states to help Samantha recover.
“Class, who is close with Miss Lopez?” our Economics teacher, Ms. Cynthia asked
We raised our hands in sync and she motioned us to stand up.
“Why is she absent?” she asked
“Ms. Cynthia, nasa US na po si Rainiellaine. Eto po yung excuse letter niya.” Sabi ko at iniabot yung sulat na ipinadala ng ate ni Rainiellaine
“Bakit di manlang niya ininform ang mga professors niya?” tanong niya
“Biglaan rin po kasi.” Pagdadahilan ni Lana bago kami umupo ulit
I knew something happened.
Samantha was silent since Frey fell into deep slumber, what had caused her to reappear?
I didn’t notice that our classes had been over and so was lunchbreak.
I was so deep in thught about what and why Samantha reappeared. It’s been 6 years since the last time we saw her.
It’s time for our Music and Arts class with Ms. Bea Dial.
“For today’s performers we have Dominguez and Domingo, Esguerra and Rodriguez, blah and blah, blah and blah, Antonio and Lee.” She announced
Kumanta sila tapos nagco comment si Ms. Bea.
I admit minsan iniisip ko parin kung bakit kasama ang Music and Arts sa Business Management then maiisip ko na for advertising purposes siya.
“Ms. Antonio and Mr. Lee, you may have the stage.” Sabi ni Miss Bea kaya umakyat kami ng stage.
Aira:

Buti nalang wala na si Sir Romulo. Kahapon kasi ang last day niya. Buti nalang talaga.
Pagkatapos ng mga klase namin lumbas na kami ng classroom. Papaalis na sana ako kaso narinig ko si Lana na may kausap.
“Just wait okay?” parang naiiritang saad niya
“Look, sabi ni Autumn konti nalang. Ganun din sina Leader.” Parang natitimping saad niya
Ano daw?
Autumn? Kilala niya si Autumn?
“Grim! May atraso ka pa samin. You think I’d still be scared with your cold tone? The hell with that.” Grim?
Yun ang codename ng nakalaban namin diba?
Sino ba talaga kayo?
Anong kinalaman niyo kayna Autumn?

“It’s done. Nagawa ko na yung inuutos ni Leader.” Sabi niya at ibinaba yung phone niya agad naman akong tumalikod at pumunta sa parking lot at sumakay sa sasakyan ko
