Prologue

CHAPTER 1: PROLOGUE

"First Love never dies".

Some might say its not true. But for Alexandra and Den... it never dies, even if you try.

Plot: Den transfered in Alex's highschool. They became FRIENDS, then LOVERS, then NOTHING at all... it all went pitch black. They try to forget each other, try to fall in love again... yes, they did but not completely. They both knew from the start that their hearts belong to each other but no one dared to admit that hurtful truth. They cant fall in love again with half a heart. One must find a way to the other and make that heart whole again, one must find that missing puzzle piece that can complete that perfect masterpiece...

Present Day

Nakaupo lang si Den sa living room ng apartment nila ng Fiancé niya. Galing sa printing press si LA para kuhanin yung mga invitations para sa kasal nila.

Buzz Buzz

And Den froze.

Totoo na to. May invitations na. Then planning and then wedding... I dont want to feel like this. Troubled. Im supposed to be the happiest girl right? Well I am Happy! Im happy.. with Him. Anu ba tong iniisip ko.

For the second time tumunog yung doorbell, tumayo na si Den sa kinauupuan niya at binuksan yung pinto.

"Babe! This is it!" sabi ni LA at pumasok na siya. May dala siyang big brown box na may address nung printing press. He kissed Den at pumunta sa living room. Nilagay niya yung box sa center table at kumuha ng soda sa fridge. "Ang tagal mo buksan yung pinto. Nasaan ka ba?"

"Oh? I was in the bedroom... Kaya di ko narinig agad" Den lied.

"Babe buksan mo na. Let's see how it looks!" sabi ni LA at tumabi siya kay Den.

Den opened the box and her hands are quietly shaky. Pero di napansin ni LA yun. She picked one envelope and opened it. She saw a card and looked at it. Her name and LA's name printed on it with white doves. She flipped the card and on the back was her mother's name on it. Bago siya magreact kinuha ni LA yung invitation sa kamay ni Den.

"Wow! Isn't it beautiful huh?" sabi ni LA as he scans the card "Simple yet... perfect"

"Yeah. Its perfect babe..." sabi ni Den. Tumayo si Den at hinalukay niya yung box.

Then she saw it... The envelope holding her past and her future in a very clean white envelop. Kinuha ni Den yung envelop na may initials na AV. She took it and hold it.

She opened the card and flipped it.

Ms. Alexandra Valle

Her heart beats faster than ever... She scans the page, may nakasulat na address ni Lex.

Somebody pinch me, am I doing the right thing?

"Why are you even inviting her? Just saying..." sabi ni LA na umurong papalapit sakanya. "Di talaga ako makapaniwala"

"Babe... She's---She's my bestfriend, ofcourse bibigyan ko siya ng invitation" sabi ni Den habang binabalik niya yung card sa loob ng envelope.

"No she's not. She's your highschool sweetheart, na ex mo na ngayon. Dont play that bestfriend card on me dahil si Ella and bestfriend mo, hindi si Alex. Lex is your ex-girlfriend, na mahigit isang taon mo ng di nakakausap..." sabi ni LA kay Den.

"Dami mo agad nasabi" sabi ni Den.

"Importante yung sinasabi ko... Bakit gusto mo ba siyang pumunta? I mean one year na kayong di naguusap, what's the big deal if di siya umattend" sabi ni LA.

"Because I missed her okay? I think its the best time to catch up with her... sa wedding natin" sabi ni Den.

"Okay, I get it. She was practically your childhood, and highschool. So much memories kasama si Alex" sabi ni LA as she cuddled Den.

"And college..." sabi ni Den.

"Right...and college..." sabi ni LA.

"Well almost of my college. Kasama ko siya hanggang mag fourth year ako, she's always there. And after ng graduation wala na... Feeling ko dalawang tao ako nun dati, isang kasama ko siya, pangalawa yung wala na siya... It did really change things when we moved out" sabi ni Den

"But tell me what happened on that year before graduation... I wanted to know" sabi ni LA.

"Well... I just met this guy. Na may b*****e sa binti sa hallway ng hospital na pinagiinternan ko" sabi ni Den 

"And?" sabi ni LA habang hinahalikan niya pisngi ni den.

"And he made me fall in love. Eventually ask me to marry him..."

"I love you babe" sabi ni LA.

"I love you too..." sabi ni Den. "Alex, who?"

Next Day

Nakaupo lang si Alex sa Coffee shop niya. The Nest. So creative right? Umiinom siya ng coffee sa may corner table at biglang nagbell yung pinto. Pumunta sa counter yung mailman at kinkausap yung employee ni Lex.

"Mam Lex... For you daw po" sabi ni Jane. Yung Barista sa coffee shop ni Lex.

"Thanks..." sabi ni Lex.

Hinawakan ni Lex yung envelope. Naamoy ni Lex na scented yung paper. She opened it and her world stops.

Literally.

It hurts her heart, her soul everything is hurting right now. Nararamdaman din ni Lex na nahihilo siya as she scan the name written on the card. Those words perfectly written in gold ink.

Luis Alfonso Revilla. That's not even my name. sabi ni Lex sa isip niya.

Hawak niya lang yung card. She's feeling everything. Frustrations, Anger, Jealousy, Hurt... Regret. A tear fell from her eyes to the card and she immediately wipe her tears. Tumayo si Lex at lumabas sa shop niya. On her way outside nagriring yung phone niya. Umupo siya sa kotse niya and then she answered.

"Jov..." sabi ni Lex.

"Looks like nakatanggap ka na din?" sabi ni Jovee sa phone.

"Oo"

"Nasaan ka?"

"Sa harap ng shop..."

"Okay. Dont drive. Hintayin mo ako" sabi ni Jovee.

Alex leaned on the stirring wheel and cried.

June - Freshmen year (High School)

From the practice tumakbo na si Lex para maabutan niya yung first period sa araw na yon. Dala dala niya yung gym bag niya at bola ng volleyball.

Pagpasok niya sa classroom nagsisimula na yung teacher nila sa English.

"Oops?" sabi ni Lex at nakuha niya atensyon ng lahat.

"Alex. I dont know you're coming in for today. There's Alexandra Valle on my class list and I really pray that wont be a problem... But look, it just the first day and you're late."

"Im sorry Ma'am early practice" sabi ni Lex at pinakita niya yung bola na dala niya.

"You barely attend my class when you're still in grade school. How will I make sure that wont happen again and again huh?" sabi ng teacher ni Lex.

"I'll hit the ball fast... faster???" sabi ni Lex and she smirk. Nagtawanan yung mga kaklase niya at si Jovee napafacepalm sa ginagawa ng bestfriend niya.

"That's a warning Alex, this wont happen again... now sit." sabi ng teacher niya at narinig agad ni Lex si Jovee

"Lex!" sabi ni Jovee at kinakawayan siya para umupo sa tabi niya. "That was awesome... Buti na lang dumating ka ang boring boring nung klase, hahaha"

"Sabi ko sayo dapat hindi na lang tayo sa section one nagenroll. These nerds, I cant even" sabi ni Lex.

"I know right..." sabi ni Jovee. Habang naguusap yung dalawa narinig sila nung teacher.

"Valle! Avila! Do you wanna share something? I think you're having pretty interesting discussion over there." sabi ng teacher nila.

"Im sorry Ma'am" sabi ni Jovee at kasabay niyang nagsalita si Lex.

"Is there a male ladybug?" sabi ni Lex nagtawanan nanaman mga kaklase ni Alex at nagkatinginan sila ni Jovee.

 "Lex naman!" sabi ni Jovee.

"What? Im curious!" sabi ni Lex.

"Enough! Miss Valle even if you're really good hitting that ball in the court you also need to do well in class. I'll talk to Coach Mike to do something about your behavior in my class." sabi ng Teacher ni Lex at nagbell na for second period "Okay for now class dismissed. Reading assignment page 12. See you all tomorrow... ON time! Bye class" sabi ng teacher nila and then everyone left the room.

Paglabas nila ng classroom nakita nila si Jia sa may pintuan. Grade 5 ngayon si Jia.

"Ate Lex! Dito ka pala?" sabi ni Jia sakanya.

"Yep. Anung ginagawa mo dito?" sabi ni Lex.

"Yung pinsan ko kasi... transferee siya. Dito siya sa class na to napunta" sabi ni Jia.

"Oh? That new girl" sabi ni Jovee at tumingin si Lex sakanya ng nakakunot yung ulo. "You're late di mo talaga siya kilala!"

"Oh yan na pala! Ate Den! Im here!" sabi ni Jia. Nakangiti lang si Jovee habang paparating si Den. Si Lex naman nakayuko dahil inaayos niya yung sintas ng sapatos niya.

"Ate Den... this is Jovee bestfriend ni Ate Lex" sabi ni Jia at tumuro siya kay Lex na nakayuko

"Hi... Im Ysabelle-“

“Dennise Garcia.” Jovee completed her name and winked at her and Den gave him a smile.

“Yes but I’d prefer my second name more so, just call me Den, pinsan ako ni Jia" sabi ni Den kay Jovee at nagshakehands sila. Napatingin si Den kay Lex, naalala niya si Lex kanina kaya medyo natawa si Den at pag tingala ni Lex nakita niya si Den na nakangiti sakanya.

"Hey what are you looking at?" sabi ni Lex kay Den.

"Ate Lex! Siya yung pinsan ko!" sabi ni Jia.

"Oh? Sorry..." sabi ni Lex at namula siya.

"Ate Den this is Alex. Captain ball ng Volleyball team ng elementary last year... Ganyan siya palagi, masanay ka na" sabi ni Jia.

"Hi Alex, Im Den---Dennise," sabi ni Den.

"Hi... You're cute" sabi ni Lex at ngumiti siya at nagblush naman si Den.

"Thanks?" sabi ni Den.

Bakit cute naman talaga ah? sabi ni Lex sa sarili niya dahil nakangiti lang si Jovee sakanya.

At yan ang naging simula ng friendship nilang dalawa...
