Chapter 6   HATE DIG HOLES TO BURY DEAD BODIES.   Adam Effulgence Richardson February 25, 1924 - January 31, 1964   Adam Effulgence Richardson, the founder of Imperial University. One of the richest and most influential family in this place. His death? It was not mentioned here. Based on what was written, this Richardson was generous. Aside from this school, he also contributed to other academies to have more rooms to accommodate the students, but I doubt that there will be a lot compared to this. This seemed prestigious, so some students will surely choose to study here. It’s a shame that this kind of person who helped in education died.   “What are you doing here?”   I slowly turned around to find out who it was. I clenched my jaw. Now I know why I felt my blood boil earlier for no particular reason. The person who called me with the most offensive name I could imagine being labeled with. Who’s this b***h again? Ah, Ayuna. Ayuna with the surname I can’t remember because I do not care about her life and existence in this world. As long as she will not get on my way, I will try not to cross path with her even though she’s starting to get into my nerves.   “I’m asking you why you’re here.” She stepped her foot forward. My eyes kept up with her movements in case she might lose her cool on me. I didn’t take care of my skin to have scratches from this unpleasant creature. She pushed her tongue in irritation, tilting her head towards my direction. Then, she finally crossed her arms. She faced me with the same ardent attitude. “You don’t belong here.”   “You’re not the one to tell that,” I answered fiercely to equate her treatment. I can give her the same if that’s what she really wants. There’s no way I would let myself be bullied by anyone.   “Really?”   “Well, you’re not the owner of this school.”   “That’s true.” She curled her hair with her forefinger. “Nevertheless, I have connection with the family of the owner.”   “Who?”   “Why would I tell you that?” Ayuna rolled her eyes. She mocked at me. “Because I am kind, I will give you a hint. You know him.”   “Him?”   I had not make any interaction with the boys in this area. I might have talk to some during my party, but it was impossible that she knew that. Our common denominator would be Seth, but Seth is a Thompson.   “So maybe I could tell that person to kick you out of her,” she added. She scrunched her nose and showed me her crossed fingers. “We are this close. We are best friends.”   I stared at her. “What do you really want?”   “Me? Oh, glad that you ask that, but I will not tell you the reason. Find it out yourself. I know that you don’t like me, and the feeling is mutual, so as much as possible, in any way that you could do, do not associate yourself with me. Keep your distance.”   “But you were the one who approached me.” b***h.   “I did, and that’s because it is my decision to annoy you and leave this place as early as you can. For today, this is a warning, an introduction of my hate towards you.”   “Why do you hate me?”   “I dislike your look. Everything about you—your face, your hair, your smile. It’s just so irritating especially your mere existence in this world. I didn’t know that a person would be alive and come to this place and annoy me without even doing anything.”   I inhaled to keep myself calm.   “See this man?” She caressed the glass hindering her from touching Richardson’s frame. “He died because of hate, jealousy and envious. So you”—she held my chin and made me look at her straight in her black dangerous eyes—“be careful of the people around you. You don’t know who might kill you in a sudden.”   She laughed, a very faint laugh that sounded like a threat for my life. She winked at me.   Could it be from her?   “Do not worry because I don’t like my pretty hands bathing in someone’s blood out of any reason.” She wiggled her fingers in my face and laughed again. “I have to go. See you when I see you.”   A beauty pageant contestant she is, she flipped her long shiny hair and turned around, letting its length fly for a while. A man was waiting for her at the exit of the building. Inches tall than her, darker skin tone, and curly short hair. The man shot me a blank look before paying attention to Ayuna. They talked and because of the distance that I couldn’t hear anything, but they seemed arguing based from their gestures. They threw me one last glance, a glance that I couldn’t understand the meaning. Who is he?   I caught my breath when they left. I didn’t notice I held it as my eyes were glued to them. And the presence of those two person suddenly changed the atmosphere. It was intense.   I glimpsed at Richardson’s image. I felt chill ran down my spine. I licked and pursed my lips.   Adam Effulgence Richardson   Seth Asier Thompson   Who is she referring?   I strayed on the first floor of the building. I could see the lockers everywhere. There were posters attached. Cheerleading. Basketball. Football. Singing Club. Dancing Club. My feet brought me to the end of the hallway.   #
