Chapter 45 “Good morning Manang.” I uttered while rubbing my eyes as I walked to the kitchen. I still feel sleepy and I feel like I am floating… well if that is even possible. I yawned and stretched. But when I searched the kitchen, Manang Selya is not here. Minsan kasi naabutan ko siya rito na nagluluto o naglilinis kaya akala ko narito siya ulit. I brewed my coffee and grabbed a slice of bread for breakfast. Dala ang kape at isang supot ng bread ay naglakad ako papuntang garden dahil mas maaliwalas ang hangin sa labas. Since I just woke up and spacing out, I unconsciously drink my coffee and it’s still hot so I immediately spit it out, luckily I’m already at the doorway towards the garden. “Good morning.” Agad akong napatingin sa gilid kung saan nanggaling ang boses.
