Chapter 10

I called my team na rito na lang kami. Although they were confused kung bakit I invited them to be here, they all agreed and were very game.

And now, they're all here.

Naka rinig na ako ng katok sa pinto namin and it can't be somebody else but them. Nag text si Nikki na magkaka sama na raw silang lahat.

I am nervous but half excited because it's a first time for me to invite someone over because before, I'd just prefer to meet outside.

"Hi! Welcome to our crib. Pasok kayo," bati ko nang buksan ko ang pinto.

Nasa unahan si Niki and Viv. Sa likod nil ay sina Cassey, Elon, and Clyde.

The first thing that Nikki showed me is the box of cinnamon bread that they bought but some of them looked at me with confusion and shock nang makita nila kung sino ang nasa likod ko.

"Uh... this is Kuya Dominic. He's the owner of this unit with my kuya, his best friend," pakilala ko sa kanila.

They were all quick to greet Kuya Dom who's all smiles with them too.

"Welcome! Feel at home kayo ah. You guys can do whatever you guys want, " aniya at nilingon ako. "Yve, ikaw na muna bahala. I'll be on my room in cse you need something."

I smiled and nods my head. "Sure kuya. Thank you!"

Nagpaalam si Kuya sa mga schoolmates ko and when looked at them, gusto kong matawa because they're all gawking at him.

"Alright kuya. Thanks!"

Kuya Dom made his way to his bedroom and hindi na napigilan ng mga girls ang pag laki ng mata nila while covering their mouth with their hand as they turned to me.

"Oh my gosh! Hindi mo naman sinabing may kasama kang Greek God rito!" sabi ni Viv.

I can't help but to boastfully smile as if ako yung inuulan ng compliment.

Lalo na ngayon, sanay na ako sa pagmumukha ni Kuya Dom so I am not really surprised with how handsome he is but upon seeing their reaction, I am reminded again that every person meeting him for the first time will be awed with him.

The guys are looking at us weirdly though.

"Grabe, I was so occupied when I first so him kaya I didn't appreciate that much but now... wow," Niki said.

"Na meet mo na?" Gulat na sabi ni Cassey.

"Oo si Kuya yung sumundo kay Yve noong sinundan sya ni Travis," sagot ni Niki.

"I am just living him temporarily because of what happened at home. Kuya's overseas with our parents so it's just the two of us," paliwanag ko.

"It's just him and your brother living here?" tanong ni Viv.

Tumango ako. "Yeah."

"Hindi naman sila ano..." Cassey showed her hand and ibinali nya iyon pababa. I immediately understood the gesture kaya mabilis akong umiling para itanggi.

"Oh, no! It's not like that. They're just tight friends."

"I really thought you're dating him kanina when you opened the door," pag amin ni Viv.

Oh. How I wish that I am dating him. That will never really happen.

After that small chika and introductions, we get down to the business and didn't waste any more time.

As soon as the time to talk about the short film that we are grilling, the mood noticeably dropped down. None of us are smiling.

"What should we do? Should we just hire someone or what? Should we push this? " tanong ni Elon.

"To be honest, I am losing my confidence on whether we can really do this or not," Viv admitted.

Some of us are leaning on the sofa but there are few that are looking down.

"Come on, I am sorry that I am terrible at acting and we are having this problem but I think we can do this. We all want to do this, right?"

I don't know how else I could convince them when we're all having second thoughts.

"Excuse me guys," napunta ang attenttion namin sa Kuya Dominic na lumabas ulit from his room. "I ordered foods for you guys. It should be here any minute from."

"Thank you," sagot ng mga kasama ko.

"Kuya, can I ask something?" lahat kami napa tingin kay Niki.

Kuya Dominic, who is about to go back in his room, stopped moving and bumalik sa pag harap sa amin.

"Yes? What is it?" tanong ni Kuya.

"Do you act? Like, can you?" tanong ni Niki.

We all looked at each other ang to Niki na hindi namin alam kung ano ang iniisip. More than us, mas mukhang nagtataka si Kuya Dom.

But because of what Niki said, a light bulb on the 'I don't know where' part of ny brain sparked and I suddenly remembered something.

"Right! You were in theater when you are in high school, right?" excited na sabi ko kay Kuya Dominic.

"You knew that? Not all people kmows that. Kuya mo lang yata," gulat na sabi nya sa akin.

Oops.

Did I just expose myself to him with the information I found out when I coincidently found out his old classmate's account and looked for pictures in high school and found that out?

I did.

I blinked fast at binasa ang labi ko. "Kasi si ano-"

Cutting me off, he said habang umiiling, "You're brother's too talkative. But anyway, yes. I did."

Pagpalain ka sana ni Lord, Giovan. I hope the Carribean's air will bring him more good things in life.

"This could sound too much to ask, kuya, especially that we just met like not even an hour ago but... can you be Yvette's lover?"

Halos mabuwal kami sa biglang request ni Niki out of nowhere kay Kuya Dominic. Lahat kami na shock, lalong lalo na ako na halos ma bato sa kina u- upuan ko.

I think I instantly knew what she meant with that and why did she ask of that.

"I mean, act like you are one on the short film. Please?" she pleaded.

Kumunot ang noo ni Kuya Dominic at pagak na natawa. "I'm sorry, what?"

Napa yuko sandali si Niki. Ipinaliwanag nya ulit kay Kuya kung bakit wala pa kaming male lead sa rami ng nag tangka.

"Sa 'yo ko lang nakita 'yung chemistry with her that I was looking for. I was looking at you and her and I could feel that there's connection."

Niki said that wonderfully na hindi ko mapigilan ang sarili ko to bite my lips and I even have to look down or else they'll see he much I love that.

It sounds good but it's also a surprise because I never thought of it kahit na crush ko siya.

Nagka tinginan kami ni Kuya Dominic and he still looks shocked. Tumayo ako from my seat at tumabi sa kanya sa pag tayo, making their eyes glued to us.

"Do you guys think we have chemistry?" sabi ko.

Nagkatinginan kami ni Kuya Dominic at tinaas ko ang kilay ko sa kanya bago ibinalik ang mata ko sa mga kasama na tumatango.

I was trying to prove na wala but it backfired.

I don't even know if they're being honest or what.

"May roon, dude. Bagay kayo," walang prenong sabi ni Elon.

"I am sorry for asking too much talaga kuya, but if you could spare us your day this week, it'd be a great help to us.

"We could pay you if you want kahit na mas mayaman ka naman sa amin. We could also do whatever you widh for," sabi ni Cassey.

It looks like they're all down to making this thing with me and kuya.

"If you're busy of work, it's fine kuya. I don't want to burden you with this."

Gusto ko na makita kung saan banda yung connection na sinasabi nila but he's a veey busy person.

"No... no. It's not a burden-"

I cut him off. "Really? It's not? Then, will you act with me kuya? Fast leaner naman ako so I think I can pick it fast," pakiusap ko pa.

"Do you want me to make you coffee every morning? I will. Hang your laundry? I will. Fix the bulb? Ako na. You can order and boss me around but can you act with me?"

"As your lover in the video? Isn't that a bit..."

"Awkward?" Umiling ako. "Matagal ko nang tinapon ang nipis ng mukha ko. I have to do this or I'll regret it until I graduate."

For quite some he didnt say a word.

If he's game, then I will be forever thankful. Hindi lang ako 'yung ma s- save niya from the 'what if we pushed through' question in the future.

Huminga siya ng malalim at tumingin sa akin. "Alright. I think it's worth the shot."

Napuno ng sigawan at happy cryings ang buong unit dahil sa pag payag ni Kuya Dominic.

"Thank you," I mouthed to him.

"No problem."

The pizzas and all the food that he ordered arrived and we ate first and then we refreshed oureselves about the film.

"It's about a young unmarried couple together na naka tira sa i-isang bahay, thinking that living together will make them strong but as they do, it only ruined them," kuwento ni Clyde.

"The story's nice. We could just shoot here inside dahil bahay rin naman ang setting," ani Kuya Dom.

He participated in everything and it's smoother for us now that he's involved.

Paano ba 'yan, Dominic Javier? Dagdag pogi points ka ng two billion sa akin.

I just wonder how it will go with him pretending and acting as my lover in a short film?
