Chapter 1

"My love, the first time that I saw you I fell in love with you. Your smile. Your laugh. And more importantly you itself. You are the blessing that God gives me and I will treasure you and your love forever. I will commit myself and my heart to you. I love you now and forever." 

"And now by the power vested in me, it is my honor and delight to declare the two of you married. Go forth and live each day to the fullest. You may now kiss the bride."  The whole church burst into happiness as they celebrate the newly husband and wife. 

“I LIKE YOU.” The guy in front of me said without humor. He was standing in front of me holding a piece of rose, with his casual shirt and rag pants. His dark black eyes were looking straight at me, with anticipation for my reply.

Christofer Diaz Sanchez is tall, smart, and handsome. A lot of girls like him and I was one of them. My first crush and my first love. 

I was rooted in my chair, unable to move for a moment. My heart was beating fast and everything was blurry except him. Nakatitig lang ako sa kanyang mata habang hindi makapaniwala na nandito siya sa harap ko. His eyes were like a deep see drowning me inside. His hair was a bit messy right now pero nakadagdag lang ito sa kanyang ka gwapohan. His nose was perfectly pointed and his lips were like sweet candy. His mouth was moving like it saying something but I couldn't hear it. God! He was handsome. My mind just went blank. My gosh... gustong tumalon nang puso ko palabas sa katawan ko and I can't blame it. I've been in love with him for a year now and here he is right now. Standing in front of me. Mga besh... I need air. As in right now. 

“Faith?” He asks waiting for my response. A lot of our schoolmates were looking at us, smiling and some were envious. Who wouldn’t be if one of the handsome men our university just confesses to me while holding a flower? 

“Yes, yes! She likes you too.” My friend Alysia said filled with excitement, and almost screaming. “Oh my gosh faith!” she exclaimed and gently nudging me to wake up. Habang nanatili naman akong naka-upo na parang tuod. 

 “Hah? Ah…. Hi?” I unconsciously said and totally lost from everything. Nasaan ako? Sino ako? Bakit ako nandito?  My mind was a total mess.

He chuckled with my response and flash his killer smile, making my heart beat faster. Even his laugh was handsome and his smile makes it everything reasonable and acceptable. God! I want to kiss him.

“Faith Corvera… I… like… you…” Christofer sweetly said making my eyes turn big. Alysia screams beside me pulling my arms with excitement and happiness. 

".....Okay" wala sa sarili kong ani habang kinacalma ko ang sarili ko. The stars are green. The sun is blue. The sky is gold. Yup... I'm okay. Definitely okay. Okay let's think about it first, he likes me? 

He likes me.....

Oh my gosh! He likes me? Does he like me? Christofer likes me? I am not dreaming, right? I am differently not dreaming because if I was, I don’t want to wake up. Never. Ohmygosh! My first love just confessed to me right now, my heart is beating fast. Hah!

"Do you like me too?"  He asked habang naka killer smile sa harap ko. Habang si Alysia ay kinukurot ako sa tagiliran. Mukhang kilig na kilig ito sa nangyayari. Sino ba naman ang hindi? Your crush and first love just confess to you. 

“I… I like you too.” Nahihiyang sagot ko and everyone cheered. His smile was big when he pulls me up and embrace me in front of everybody. Kilig na kilg namang sumisigaw si Alysia habang nakatingin sa amin. 

It was loud, and everyone was happy, cheering, and clapping at us. But all I can hear was his heart beating fast, just like mine.

I like you? It’s funny, with that simple I like you, change everything. He was my first love, my first boyfriend, and my first in everything. People called it young love that you will cherish forever. 

“Go! Baby… you can do it!” I shouted when Christ ran toward the ring with the ball in his hand. The clock was ticking fast and my heart was beating fast. His every move makes everybody feel agitated and excited.

“Go! Christopher!” He ran fast and quickly avoid each enemy. I was holding my breath when he positions himself and slightly bent his arm para ma shoot ang bola sa ring, and with a blink of an eye, he shoots the ball. Napatayo naman ako sa upuan at nagdasal na ma shoot ang bola.

"Lord... Magpapakabait na talaga ako, promise. Ma shoot kalang please...." The ball slowly hit the rim and bounce off through the hoop making everyone stand from their seats. Parang nag slow motion ang lahat nang nag bounce ang bola at hindi makahingang nagdasal na ma shoot ito ulit. When the clock turns to zero and the buzz sound covered the entire court. A moment of silence was made before everyone cheered. 

Everyone shouts from victory. We won! We won...The shot was made before the clock ends.

“Yes!!!! We won!” Christ shouts with a big smile on his face. Agad akong bumaba sa court at tumakbo papunta sa kanya. Christ held and hug me without care for everyone else. I was happy and laughing while hugging him tightly.

“Congratulation baby! I know you will win.” I said happily making him laugh and hold me tightly. “I know because you're my lucky charm.” He said making me smile wider.

“You still owe me a dinner, right?” I said while looking at his sparkling eyes.

“Yes, ma'am.” He said jokingly habang hawak hawak ako.

“I love you,” I said looking at him lovingly.

“I..love..you…Faith Corvera Sanchez!” He said between his kisses, I giggled in every kiss he makes at my face. 

We smile at each other habang nakatingin sa teamates niya nag ce-celebrate sa saya.
