Taming the Devil

Conn's POV

She look so innocent.

I was looking at her and waiting for her to wake up. After 15 minutes of waiting, I called my butler Rodrigo.

“You called Sire” after knocking at the door. He was old but still served me perfectly

“I want you to invite Anica Morvan’s parents. I want to talk to them, and find out everything with her family” I ordered him.

“Yes Sire” and he closed the door quietly

I seated at the end of the bed while reading her files from the school.

Hmm. So she’s coming to her age in a few days as I noticed. She look like her mother. With the white complexion and sky blue eyes but she also has her father’s light brown hair and strong jaw line and lips (though her lips are red). I also noticed that her parents are very well off. her mother is a surgeon while her father owns a mining company. Anica owns her own clothing and art gala.

I dialed the one of the numbers indicated in the file and waited for someone to answer.

“Hello?”

“Good evening, I would like to know if this if Catalina Morvan, mother of Anica Morvan of Summerfield High”

“Yes this is her mother. Oh my God! Does anything bad happened to my baby?” I can feel her panic.

“No mam, as a matter of fact, she is doing perfect. It’s just that, I would like to invite you to her upcoming birthday party” I informed her

“Oh my Gosh?!” she squeal “Are you her boyfriend?” Hmm, typical mom I smirked.

“you see-” I was starting to explain my relationship with her daughter when she cut me off

“I know you love my daughter but you see, she is special and I think that before you truly show your intention to her, we need to talk PERSONALLY” she put an emphasis in the word personally which made me intrigued.

After my “talk” to my beloved’s parents, we agreed to set a date. She strictly ordered me not to touch her daughter not until her 18 birthday which I agree to show my respect. But i'm still curious and i can't put a finger on why. something is odd...

i need to check all the information that i can have with my beloved. especially her family. Morvan is a very familiar name and i don't know why..
