IN PURSUIT OF THE LOST CONTINENT OF ATLANTIS
In 1930, Ataturk founded the Turkish Historical Society to research the origins of Turks and where they migrated from Central Asia. As a result of these studies, very rich resources and information were reached. However, he could not answer the question of where the Turks came from. In 1932, General Tahsin Mayatepek, a retired soldier and also a former archaeologist and historical researcher, visited Ataturk.
