Entangled Hearts

"And now let's welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughan!" The emcee announced while we are walking down the aisle on the dinning hall for the reception of our wedding. September 27, 2019 - that is our special date! It's been two years and I still feel like it was just happened like yesterday. I'm still living in my dreams. We are now gathered at Vaughan's residence for a family dinner. Everything is elegant here. Where I believe only socialites can join them. Their family was known as the richest business family owner in the Philippines. They owned several hotels, restaurants, pharmaceutical companies and major stock holders on the business world. Aside from the companies here in the Philippines they also expanded their business worldwide. "Savinna, dear eat a lot of food. I prepared it just all for you." Mrs. Vaughan said, my husband's mother. "Yes, Mom thank you po." I answered politely. Just like my Mother, Mrs. Jenifer Vaughan was a sophisticated and warm person I've ever known. All I know she likes me very well- she likes everthing Calix liked so she took care of me like her real daughter. "Don't spoil her like that Jen, she may not go home with us anymore." My mom jokingly said to Mrs. Vaughan. "Well Savinna needs to eat a lot of food, because we never know we may have a grandchild in a few more days!" Mrs. Vaughan happily hasted. "Calix, your mom was right. You two have been married for two years yet still no good news?" Mr. Vaughan asked, my husband's dad Mr. Christopher Vaughan. He and my Dad were bestfrieds since they were in high school. "Dad, were still young and I'm kinda busy with our business, so we can wait to have a child after we settle everything." Calix explained. "You two were young but us, no! Maybe we can expect a good news later on." My Dad replied. "Maybe they just want to enjoy their life Dad, you two should go on travel." My brother, Axel Marquez said. He is 26 years old and Calix' bestfriend. They were bestfriends since they were young just like our dads. "Calix was indeed busy with his schedule lately and I think Calix was right we can wait fort them until they have a child besides they just married for 2 years. Who knows we never know what will happened." It was my brother's wife, Chrissia and also Calix' friend. "Okay that's enough, we are both happy and we are contented with each other now. If we can have a child then will have it in the future, right?" Calix looked at me as I sit besides him. He hold my hand to show everyone that he trully cares about me. "Yes, he's right we have alot on our plates now and even here in our table so let's just continue to eat?" I said awkawardly. Then we eat and as usual they talked about expanding business and they are planning to do some charitable events in future. After the dinner we went home straight, for me everything was like a dream come true, I've been married with the person I had the crush the most. But for him I really didn't know. I trully love him but him, I'm not really sure. "Calix please give me your clothes so I can put it on the laudry basket." I was about to get his clothes but he did not let me. "No need I can do it myself." He coldly said to me. After taking a bath and do my skin care routine at night, I went to our bed and lay next to him. "Calix, are you still awake?" I softly said to him. "Hmmm?" he groaned "Can't we really have it?" "What is it" he asked. "Ahhmm- a baby?" "Right now? Sav we already talked about that, we can't and both us were not yet ready for that." It really makes me sad when he said that. I married him because I want to be a wife to him and a mother to our children. And I feel that we lack sometihing- a baby I guess. Due to my mixed emotions, I said: "Calix, you promised me you'll try to love me right? Please show it." "But having a child was not the answer to that!" he left a big sight and went out, I guess he will sleep in the library now. It's always been like this. He always treated me this way. After we got married and settle down he never looked at me as if we are in love with each other but when we are in our parents houses he always portrayed like we are loving couple where in fact, we're not. It's like we are just putting a show to everyone. We really can't have a child since we never sleep together, we did once after we got married and we never do it again. We are like just a roommate in this huge house. And it really bothers me. After all these years have he ever love me or he is just contented to be with me? I wonder.
