Terra Sky

The year is 2123 and Wyoming has seceded from the United States after the government tried to force all the people in Wyoming to give up their guns and freedoms. The governor, after months of arguing back and forth with the office of the President and all congress, makes an executive decision. Sending out a statewide emergency broadcast calling for all scientists, magic researchers, and any other person who is willing to work towards an impenetrable way for us to secede from the union. The 15 researchers worked in secret combining their knowledge of science and magic, formulating plans, and machines to make it safe and almost 100% successful. For the secession, months passed, and as each researcher was ending their projects, it had been almost a year since the decree was issued. Finally, it has all come to fruition. Each project was joined together with its counterparts. That is when things got ugly as every single city and town in Wyoming deployed machines sectioning off 100 miles in each direction except for the towns that had other towns within that radius. They absorbed them and went from the last town in that region. Lander, Hudson, and Riverton are prime examples. Instead of going a hundred miles from Lander, they went a hundred miles from Riverton instead. Each city did this and in a matter of minutes, all of Wyoming was lifted into the sky and began floating around the stratosphere. The USA was not at all pleased with this and declared that either they would share their discoveries and rejoin the union or there would be war. Unyielding, the Wyomingites fought back. The war raged for half a century. After many a lost battle, the United States concedes and lets Wyoming become its own nation in the clouds. After a decade, the governing body of Wyoming renamed their country Terra Sky.
