Saved by my Future Mate

The corridor was dirty and had an unused look about it. The cobwebs must have been there for quite some time due to the fact that they were dusty, grey and untouched. Why they thought it was a good idea to open that door, I will never know. There is a reason that it had been hidden behind that wardrobe down in the basement. I have always had a phobia of being underground, after being trapped in a tunnel when I was younger, so I stayed back up top getting all of the outdoor shots that we had planned on. All I can tell you is that when we did find them, not all of them came back the same. Something changed them down there. Something that has change all our lives for the past two years. It was also when I met my mate, before we were both 18. That weekend is something I don’t think any of us will ever forget. Sorry, I am getting ahead of myself, I’m Sally and I am a werewolf, our pack is called The Moon Heart Pack. I was staying at this cottage in the middle of neutral territory, with the guys who are my fellow future leaders of our pack. Mike and Chris are brothers and are the future Delta and Gamma of our pack, Sam is the future Beta and my twin brother, which makes me a female beta. While Jon is our future Alpha. We are all 18 years old, and have grown up together. We are in our final year of College, which is also in the neutral territory. The college we attend is mixed species including witches and humans. Yes we do mix and humans know about us. Once we have finished college it will be off to The Sun and Moon pack. The Sun and Moon Pack is a special pack that trains 18 to 21 year old wolves ahead of them becoming the next generation of leaders for our packs. This way all the packs are aware of wolf law, economy, business management and ethics. You could say it’s a bit like wolf university or training academy. It is run by previous alpha, beta and so forth, who have all run their own pack and have stepped down to allow the next generation to carry on. There are normally at least two of each status both male and females, so that everyone gets an excellent education and training experience. I honestly cannot wait to go. It isn’t far off. Although I am a female Beta, I will be part of the Lunas team when Jon eventually finds her, unless of course if I find my mate and he is also a pack leader, then I would join his packs luna’s team. We are already at the age then we discover who our mates are and as yet none of us have so far. Unfortunately, over the years and with packs expanding and new packs appearing all over the world, it is harder to find your mate. Our mate is the other half of us and it makes the males very protective of their mates and as the guys are extremely headstrong and over protective of me and my wolf, I already feel sorry for my mate, when he comes along. Our mates are what you humans call a soul mate. We get our wolves at sixteen, but are not able to sense our mates until we turn eighteen. Our Moon Goddess personally chooses our mates for us, our mates can be another wolf, a human or even a witch, although this is a rarity. We all cannot wait to meet our mates, however some wolves take chosen mates. This might be when their mate has died, or for some older wolves, who havent found their other halves, they mate with someone of their choosing.
