Personal integrity, especially when it is not convenient or advantageous to the person who is demonstrating it.For example, everyday people in Nazi occupied countries, who took in Jews fleeing persecution and death. They did it with the full knowledge that they were jeopardising their own lives as well, and with no certainty that they might EVER have their countries liberated from the oppression.True integrity is a lot less common than you might think.
