chapter 1: Farm boy and the dungeon
Chapter 1 A world much different from our own still in the middle ages with gunpowder just being found out and people still using swords, one where certain people with extraordinary powers called Wizards rule and those without serve, and what's even stranger is that certain locations in the world appear where creatures unknown to man call their home and unmatched treasures are hidden these are dungeons and any person strong or crafty even to clear one see something unknown to anyone else... Southern region Millet farm The fertile land home to different varieties of grains could be seen, an old barn was next to it sitting under the shed of the barn was a young boy no less than 17, he wore a torn white shirt and brown knickers, he's black hair was cut short like he worked for the army, his light skin had several bruises on it mainly from working on a farm, his brown eyes were fixed on the story book on his lap, Dungeon legends. "Cool!" he looked starry eyed at the book. "One day I'd also like to check out a dungeon!" He shouted. "Like that would ever happen Trevor, you're too weak to even find a dungeon on your own" an older looking boy came out from the barn dressed in black with brown pants, his facial expression was that of mockery, he had the same hair cut as the boy now known as Trevor. "Shut up Damian! Just because I don't know magic doesn't mean I can't go to a dungeon!" Trevor countered the older boy. "Hahaha, listen here little brother" Damian grabbed the shoulder of Trevor tightly "people, like me actually have futures we'll get selected by the army cause we're strong, while you'll just end up a slave or something" he laughed. "Gehhhh!, Just leave me alone at least I know how to read, not everything needs strength s you buffoon!" Trevor insulted and almost immediately 'powww!' "ouhhh!" Damian punched his brother in gut. "You better watch yourself smartass" Damian hissed "Remember who's your superior" he then went back to the barn to chill. "Sniff sniff" still holding on to the book even when holding his stomach on ground tears run down his face as he thinks to himself (I just have to be patient one day.... One day I'll get my chance). After about an hour an man approaches the farm, his bald and his wearing blue pants and suspenders over a white long sleeve this was the owner of the farm John, father of Damian and Trevor. Seeing his youngest son working on the farm gave a sigh of relief that at least one of his children were doing something reasonable. "Welcome back Dad!" Trevor said with a smile on face and drops his Hoe. "Ah Trevor, I'm back, could you go to the market and get some oil for me" John sends his son on an errand. "Sure thing Dad!" Trevor collects some money an leave the lush green farm land. "Yo dad what's for dinner!" Damian walks out of the barn looking as disrespectful as ever. "Hurry up and join the army you lazy fool" John refers to his eldest son. Market place The market was surprisingly empty with only a few people in a booth or so, After getting the oil and wanting to return Trevor Sees a strange old man in a green cloak that calls out to him "hey kid, I have something to ask you" he said in a rusty voice "ever dream of adventure and fame?" He asked. "Um yeah, but unlike nobles and other lucky people I wasn't born with magic or physical strength" Trevor said honestly. "That may be true but, despite that you still want to explore this world, that's a good trait, here take this, if you ever feel like going out there here's a place to start" he passed a piece of paper to the boy. "Thanks mister... I don't think I'll be using this anytime soon though" Trevor said nervously. As the young boy left the stranger looked at his back and said "soon".... Millet Farm Trevor came back only to see an expensive looking silver carriage attached to a gray angry looking horse. "This can't be good" the buzz cutboy walked faster to the barn. There his father is sitting on an old chair covering his eyes, while his brother Damian is smiling at a suspicious looking fat man in fancy yellow attire. "So when can I expect the boy 'snort' " the fat man said clearing his nose. "There he is major, that scrawny looking kid" Damian pointed at his younger brother. "Hey what's going on here?" Trevor tried to remain calm. Trevor..... I'm sorry the farm......" John looked devastated. "What your father means to say is that instead of selling his farmland to me, instead his selling his son to me as a servant!" The fat major said in a greedy tone. "W...........a......!"words couldn't form from the young boy's mouth. "Yah finally you can be of some real use to us, go get your stuff for your room" Damian said evilly. Trevor obediently walked into the barn and about 20 minutes passed before. "Hey! Are you crying or something?! Get your butt out of....." Damian opened the barn door only to see one of the farm tools a sickle, a pair of gloves and a straw hat were Missing along with his brother. "Trevor!!!" Damian yelled.in rage. "If you can't pay me back with the boy I'll take your farm as collateral! Don't forget who's in charge of this sector!" The major also flared up. GIo plains 'huff huff, huff huff!' Trevor ran as far as he could, it was now or never if he wanted to explore the world, he never imagined fate would deal him a hand like this, his own father forced to sell him to keep his beloved farm, no time for tears he followed the piece of paper the stranger gave him, it was his only means of escape so he couldn't defy it, the location it led him to however was a grassy plain which kept getting darker and darker as he moved forward until. "No way..." Trevor said as he looked in front of him, the grass had turned completely black and right next to the wall of the plain was an iron door with a skull symbol on it... This was something he never imagined he'd see in his lifetime a real life dungeon... To be continued
