Rushing against the speeding wind, Birdie arrived at the hotel within forty minutes. She parked her motorbike and sent a text to Kyle. She wanted to surprise him. If he was there for a business meeting, then perhaps they could meet up. Maybe she could finally give herself to him in body. Being a twenty-six year old virgin was not what she dreamed about. Like every other girl, she longed for the day her fiance Kyle would touch her and make her feel wanted. Kyle, however, had been adamant and insisted that they wait for the wedding night. He was saving himself for her just as she was doing the same for him. Birdie smiled when she thought about that fact. They would be each other's first and only for the rest of their lives. "I am downstairs at the hotel where you are staying. Don't ask me how I know where you are. Send your room number and i can give you an unforgettable surprise. xoxo." She waited for over thirty minutes in the cold night wind while shivering before getting a reply. "Room 401." 'How unromantic' she thought to herself. He could not even include an 'xo' like her. It didn't matter anyway, she giggled. He had sent her his room number, which meant he was probably just as excited to see her as she was him. She made her way into the grand magnificent hotel, its large foyer was lit brightly and all the guests moving around were expensively dressed. In her black baggy damaged jeans and white vest, Birdie looked lost and out of place. The receptionists all stared at her warily and dismissed her as a paying customer immediately. "Hello." she greeted the first one she approached. "What are you here to deliver?" the receptionist asked after looking Birdie up and down with rolling eyes. "I am not here to deliver anything. I am here to see someone." "Is the guest expecting you?" "Yes. Room 401." Birdie showed the receptionist the text. "Let me call ahead and inform them." the receptionist used her long red nails to press buttons on the phone, one at a time, like they had all day. "I will just head in and find the room myself." said Birdie, who had now grown impatient with the customer service she had just received. "I hope somebody fires your stupid ass." she mumbled under her breath. Birdie made her way to the elevator and pressed a button to stop on level four. She hummed a little happy tune and tapped her foot as she waited for it to stop at level four. When she got to the room itself, Birdie hesitated for a bit before knocking because she could hear sounds of a man and woman engaged in a happy conversation. One of the voices sounded like her sister Adella, but that would be impossible because Kyle and Adella had no prior relationship as far as she knew. She knocked on the door. The door was opened by a laughing Kyle, whose shirt was unbuttoned. He seemed to be surprised at the sight before him and the smile on his face froze. "Why are you here Birdie?" he asked. "I sent you a message, silly. You said it's okay for me to meet you." She pushed him aside and forced her way into the room. Birdie looked around the room, there were roses and two glasses of champagne on the table, one full and one half full. A red velvet cake sat next to a plate of strawberries dipped in chocolate. The room was filled with balloons that spelled congratulations. "Wow! she exclaimed. "Did you do all this for me?" "Ummmm_." Kyle hesitated and stuttered. " You should not be here." Birdie rolled her eyes. "If I should not be here, then where should I be?" There was a knock on the door and the excited Birdie jumped up and opened it against Kyle's wishes. Two waiters and one waitress were pushing a cart of covered food. "A surprise dinner for the newlyweds from the hotel," the waiter announced. Another one placed strawberry-scented candles in different corners of the room and dimmed the light. "Congratulations," the wait staff said all together, and, exited the room. Birdie switched the bright lights on again. Something was wrong with the current situation. "What's going on, Kyle?" she asked. She tried to sniff and scent anything but her wolf senses had mostly died out. She could not get a whiff of anything. "What's going on is that he is now my husband." Adella walked out of the bathroom in a bridal gown and took Kyles' hand. They were wearing matching wedding bands. "What are you talking about? Is she crazy?" Birdie looked at Kyle pleadingly. Some part of her desperately wished that they were playing a cruel prank on her. "Hahahaaa....." Birdie laughed like a crazy woman. "I am going to assume that you are both joking because if you are not, then wolf or no wolf, I am going to kill you both." she declared. Kyle was her only reason for living and if he had abandoned her as well, she had nothing left to lose. "I told you she was crazy Kyle." Birdie squeezed herself into Kyle's arms and wheedled like a baby. Birdie laughed again. "How ridiculous is this situation right now? You are not a baby, you should not behave like one. If you are mature enough to get married, then you should be mature enough to face the consequences of your actions." Birdie grabbed an iron rod from the fireplace in the hotel suite and pointed it at Adella. "She is sixteen Kyle. You married a child. It's a crime for f**k's sake." "She is seventeen and the laws in this state allow it." Kyle stated righteously. "Thats your excuse!. The law allows it. What about me Kyle. I waited my whole life for you and this is how you have chosen to repay me?" "You are an immoral slut who has no wolf. You tried hard to hide it, but I know. Everybody f*****g knows. Did you really think i would marry a wolf less b***h like you?" Kyle answered her so viciously. His words felt like stabs to her heart. "Why would you call me a slut Kyle? You said you believed me." Birdie fell down to the floor in shock. "You said you believed in me and only me." she whispered and cried. "What about the shares? You can only get the resort if you marry me." Birdie sounded a bit more hopeful as she said this. Even if it was just for the money, she would cling on to him as long as he wanted her. "You don't have authority over those shares anymore. Mother got a lawyer who took away your rights over them and changed the agreement. Their ownership was transferred to me a year ago," Adella boasted. "You are not my father's daughter. Those shares belonged to my father and his biological children." "Mother was his wife. She had a right over them. She changed the paperwork before you turned eighteen. You should have checked on your assets you stupid woman. Your sister overheard mother and father planning it. Father was going to sell her to another pack. That's why she killed herself." Birdie sat on the floor, moving her body back and forth while mumbling unintelligible words. How could she have been so stupid and blind all these years? Kyle and his family probably knew about it. That's why he changed a year ago. He had no intentions of marrying her. Because of her reluctance, her sister died. Why didn't she leave the pack when the betas who were banished left? Her sister would still be alive if she did. She would still have her wolf and fewer scars on her back. She was a coward. Filled with rage, Birdie jumped up like a demon and lunged at Adella with the iron rod. She had every intention of killing her. Kyle kicked her away with all of his strength and she crashed against the wall and fainted. When Birdie regained consciousness, she was woozy, she could not move and her body was on fire. All these unknown sensations of desire were coursing through her body. She was longing for something. She was so thirsty and hot. A man was lying next to her and she caressed his body. He moved on top of her body and she grabbed his arms. He parted her thighs and thrust into her. She was overwhelmed with pain and pleasure at the same time. Nothing made sense at that moment except for him and his touch. Birdie moved her head and sought his mouth. She kissed him like a drowning person in a desert who had just fallen into a pool of water. She could hear herself moan and she rode the wave of pleasure until she climaxed and passed out. When she woke up, she had no idea where she was. Kyle, his mother, her stepfather, Adella and a few other people pushed into the room and shouted at her.
