Breaking Me

Chapter 3- Mary POV

                    “Willow help your farther with the bags, I will talk to Jeremy” looking at my daughter “okay mom” she replies, she had always been beautiful since the moment she came in to this world, her long sliver hair it was so unusual, even the doctors were concerned but she was my little silver hair beauty and I knew she would do great in this world, well I hoped.

                     “Has the morphine kicked in?” I ask, “yes mam” I watch his eyes follow Willow out the door, as I shined my light “how long have you known Willow?” I wonder “we met today mam, she saved my life, I thought I was powerful enough, but it turns out I wasn’t” he turns away in disappointment. I look in to his one good eye “call me Mary” I tell him “Mary please tell me what’s going on?” I could see the worry in him.

                      I hear a car pull up outside and I soon recognise the voices, Mike and Victoria are here, thank god we still have time. “I’m guessing you saw Willow’s power or as she calls it ability” he nods in reply “so you understand the danger she would face if she fell in to the wrong hands” he nods again, flinching slightly as I start to pull the wound above his eye together “well the wrong hands are her father’s brother Richard” I tell him “family hay” Jeremy says smiling, the morphine is definitely kicking in. I smile back “yes, well you certainly can’t pick them.”

                     The door opens, I turn to see Victoria “Mary?” I hear her ask, “we are in here Victoria” I carry on wiping Jeremy face. “so, this is Jeremy, Jess told me all about you on the way here, got your ass kicked I see” she chuckles “Victoria!” I said, looking at Jeremy and smiled, he smiles back “nice to meet you mam” he’s a polite boy, that’s for sure “mam? Do I look like I’m 70? Call me Victoria hun, we are family now” he smiles back at her.

                     “Do you have family nearby? Does your parents know your here?” his smile disappeared “my parents died a few months ago” his head dropped and you could feel the pain radiating off him, both Victoria and I grabbed his hand “I’m so sorry”  I spoke “it okay, its hard but I know they are in a better place now” he replied lifting his head with a look of gratefulness that we shared his pain “are you staying with family?” Victoria asked “no my uncle sent me here to stay at the school, they didn’t want me around” “oh darling, you have us now ” I squeezed his hand “I want to keep Willow safe, can I come with you, I want to keep her safe.”

                    “I think you need to know what you are getting yourself in too, you will never be safe” I tried to explain to him “I will keep her safe” he replies “I like your enthusiasm” smiling at him, I finish up his wound above his eye and start to clean the small cuts along his arms, “what can you do that we can’t?” Victoria asked “Victoria don’t be horrible” I give her a stern look “it’s fine, I also have an power, plus Willow has now gained another, she could use that one to evade suspicions, no one has two powers” Jeremy was right that might be a great idea, “he has a point Victoria, you know Jeremy if you come with us your life will forever change and you can’t go back because they will find you and kill you.” 

                   “They sound delightful” Jeremy smiles “I’m in” he declares “right well before we can go anywhere I need to set this arm, and it’s going to hurt” he nods and readies himself “Victoria will need to hold here and distract him will you” “okay” she replies grabbing his arm “so Jeremy what is your ability? Victoria askes, well that’s one way to distract him “that’s a bit personal Vic” I say to her “I just want to know if he can protect our girls, since you did end up like this” she has a point “It’s fine, I have the power of telekinesis and I have a large inheritance so the girls will always be set with me, like you said we are family now” I like this kid, SNAP! “ahhhh” he screams “sorry sorry, it back in now I just need to bandage it” I say “it’s fine, it was just the shock” Jeremy speaks through the pain.

                  I packed the rest of our things up and we were ready to go, I grabbed Jeremy, myself under one arm and Victoria on the other as we walk out the house, we could see them all staring at us, David grabs Jeremy and helps him in to the car, Willow climbing in next to him. I sit in the front and look back as we drive away from our home, we will come back here, this will always be our forever home, I smile at the kids in the back as Willow laid her head on Jeremys shoulder and closed her eyes, my sliver hair beauty, he will keep you safe.
