Breaking Me

Chapter 2- Willow POV

              “Jeremy are you okay, your voice it felt strange, it brought me back” I spoke as I ran over to them “I’m fine, your eyes they were black, and you took his powers how?” he replies avoiding my statement about his hypnotising voice “she’s like you Jeremy, unlike me, you two have abilities right” Jess speaks, and we both nod in reply “well Willow can take peoples life force and if there like you she can take your powers” I look at them both upset, I don’t want them to think I am a murder, I never hurt anyone before. 

               “How did you find out about this power?” Jeremy asked, he looked interested but cautious, I started to explain as we walked back to mine, both of us under Jeremys arms to keep him stable “well I couldn’t control it very well when I was younger and while my mom is normal like Jess, my dad has an ability, but no one knows and you must not say anything” I look at Jeremy waiting for his reply “I promise” he said seeing I was being serious “well my dad can control water, like Dean could with electricity, so when I was younger my dad would start to feel drained after playing with me, thinking it was a normal feeling, they never thought anything of it, that was until I started to make it rain in the house” 

             Jess giggled “your dad loves to tell that story you know, I think I have heard it a thousand times” we go to sit on a bench, feeling like my legs are about to give way. "I didn't get to keep his gift as I didn't take enough life force, the extra ability's or gifts fade after time, but I think deans will be here for a while" I finished explaining. I took a look at Jeremy, he was well built and towered over me, his had short brown hair that looked like it was styled well, well I say was. Not being able to carry him anymore, I texted my dad for a lift the rest of the way. “my dad will be here soon and my mom can look at your injuries, she’s a doctor” I smiled at him “thanks, you don’t need to do this for me” Jeremy replies “look I know we are going to be great friends and friends stick together, right Jess?” “right!” Jess shouts agreeing with me.

              “They’re going to love you!” Jess says while poking Jeremy in the ribs “ow and who will love me?” “sorry” Jess flinches back, she is such a girly girl, her flirting couldn’t be more obvious, tucking her hair behind her ear and lightly grabbing his hand, girl I can’t believe you did the move! I am so pulling you up on this later. We all turn to see a black BMW pull up, the window pulls down to see my dad, he looks pissed “why are you two skipping school now?” he says turning his head and spots Jeremy as we both point towards him in a reply to his question.

            “Crap! what happened?” dad shouted while getting out the car to help us get Jeremy in, his bruises had doubled in size and you couldn’t see his right eye from all the swelling. His right arm was clearly broken. “they know dad, I had to use my power otherwise he would have killed him” my dad looked heart broken, I knew this look we are going to have to move again, and not just us Jeremy and Jessica’s family too they know too much. “I’m sorry dad” “it’s fine” he replied, “let’s get back home and we will discuss this there.”

            We reached home, we lived on the edge of the village right on the forest, I liked living here it was peaceful, I always listened to the animals of the forest while watching the sunrise hit the hill, beautiful. We scrambled to get Jeremy into the house and laid him down on the sofa “Mary!” Dad called out for my mother “what David, I’m busy with a conference call” my mother shouted back her voice coming from her office located at the top of the house, it had the best views, with a large window looking out down the hill, I’m going to miss this place.

               “Mary, we need you now!” my Dad shouts up the stairs, “what’s so important to interrupt me, you know how important my job is hunny” my mother walking down the stairs, turning the corner she spots Jeremy lay on the sofa “Willow, what happened?” walking to his side picking up his broken arm and examining it, but before I could talk Jess replied “Dean started on him Mrs B, he was going to kill him so Willow stepped in” horror overcame my mother but she put a brave face on and turned back to Jeremy “Willow get my bag, I need to put his arm back in to place.”

               I head to get her bag without hesitation, while she’s already setting up a cannula for some stronger drugs, Jeremy flinch as the needle entered his skin “why does everyone look like someone has died?” Jeremy asked but we all ignored him as we began to get things ready, my mother then looks at Jessica “dear you need to get your parents here now and bring only light stuff and personal items, got it” Jess looked at me with an apologetic look, knowing that asking me to step in caused this, but I grab her hand to say that its okay and not her fault, we both nod and she runs out the door.

               “Will someone tell me what’s going on” Jeremy said while wincing at the pain, my mother was creating but soon calmed as the morphine began to help. His breathing slowed and you could see him relaxing “Willow help your father with the bags, I will talk to Jeremy” “okay mom” I replied, this is all my fault. 

               I ran and grabbed the rest of the bags from the guest room, we were always prepared, leaving the house I saw Jess and her parents pull up, Jessica’s mother Victoria jumping out the car and running to me, she wrapped her arms around me and embraces me in a hug “oh darling its okay, we here” she was like my second Mom, you would think Jess and her were sisters, they looked so similar.

                “David” Jessica’s dad walks over to mine shaking hands in to a hug, “Mike” my Dad replies, they have been best friends since birth and inseparable, they were always with us, you would think they were brothers, Mike had jet black hair, with a tall slim body, with some geeky glasses, the man was lucky to land Victoria, he wasn’t ugly, but he was still lucky. My Dad while also being tall and having dark hair, had large muscles that he worked hard for. “hunny where’s your mother?” Victoria asks while releasing me from her death grip of a hug, “she’s inside, helping Jeremy.” I replied, “okay hunny I will give her a hand.”  

                 I walk over to my Dad, Mike and Jess stood around the hood of my Dad’s car looking at a map “we need to stay off the main road they might be waiting there” my Dad spoke pointing to the hill roads that he had mapped out while hiking “David we will get her out of here” Mike replied while grabbing his hand and holding Jess tight, “this is all my fault Dad I asked her to save him, and now they could find her” Jess said fighting back her tears, I grab her from behind spinning her round in to a hug “don’t say silly things like that, I’m sorry your having to move again, but I’m not sorry for saving his life, I can’t live my whole life in fear I will use this new power to protect people especially you” hugging her tighter I wipe her tear away.

               “Ahhhh” we all turned to hear a scream coming from the house, “your mother must be almost done” Dad says turning back to fold the map away “we will follow you David” Mike says grabbing Jess and pushing her towards the car. My dad pulling me into a hug “I’m going to miss this place” “me too dad, me too” I hold him tightly “wait what new power?” he asks, “ I will explain later” I said seeing mom and Victoria bringing Jeremy out the house to the car. I will really miss this place.
