This is the afterlife, isn't it?" My voice cracked slightly, drenched in desperation to hear the affirmative. Instead, mama G hung her head, slowly shaking it before making the slightest eye contact. "I'm sorry." She whispered. My brows knitted, my angry lungs burning as oxygen filled them, fueling the flame, while uncontrollable tears welled up at the brim of my eyes. "Sorry!? It was hard to keep my tone stable, a mixture of emotions flooded my soul in an overwhelming way.
