2. Where I am?

Her eyes twist. She wanted to open them but failed. Even her body didn’t listen to her when she wanted to move.
Fear starts to spread in her.
she tried to move her arm. Yet, she failed. Something holds her arm in place.
She opened her mouth to scream. Yet, no voices came out. Even when she wanted to cry, nothing came out.
Being trapped in her body, unable to move or speak made her panic.
After a few seconds, she starts to calm down. She needed to figure out where she is now.
Trying her best, still no voices can be heard.
‘Maybe I lost my hearing!’ she joked hoping to lift her mood. But the more she thinks about the possibility, the more she panics.
‘no one can harm me. I am an Alpha blood! They must know the consequences if anyone harm me.’ She inhaled deeply, feeling content.
A few seconds passed by. Still, she couldn’t move.
Chirp, chirp.
She smiled internal as she heard the birds.
‘Nothing wrong with my hearing!’ she cheered.
A few minutes later, she smiled internal as she could move her fingers.
‘that’s a progress!’ she bragged.
The more time pass, the more she could move more and more of her body.
‘that’s good. Soon I will be able to move freely and then I will escape.’ She nods her head unconsciously as she made her plan.
A sound of a door being opened filled her ears.
‘Someone is here!’ she gulped.
“Will she wake up soon? I want to finish my shift!” an annoying female spoke.
“She supposed to do!” another female replied calmy.
As she heard those words, her heart starts to beat more and more.
What does they mean? Where she is now? Is she even safe? Will she die?
As those thoughts haunted her. her face starts to pale.
She could find some peace when she heard the door being opened and closed again.
‘They left. And they didn’t harm me!’ she sighs.
‘Shift? What do they mean? It looks like they were making something. But all I can hear is noises that I don’t even KNOW!’ she sighs defeded.
‘And that ach! I feel like my head spilt into TWO! And my muscles hurt so much. Did they do something to me? I didn’t feel it in the first. But now it increases more and more.’
She sobbed internally, she felt like ages had passed. And she still couldn’t move. Even though she could move her fingers and head a little bit. Still, she couldn’t move her body freely. After a while, exhausted won and she fell asleep.
When she woke up again, she found herself able to move more freely. After a few tries, she could open her eyes.
When she opened her eyes, she found herself in a strange place, alone.
She tried to move her body. After a lot of tries, she could move her body a little bit. Using the billow, she rests her head on it.
She moved her eyes to observe where she is.
on a small bed in a room mostly white without decorates, except for strange machines and some flowers, before she could panic more, the door opened to reveal a young woman in a white and lavender uniform. the woman welcomed her.
“Good morning miss Ebony, how do you feel now?” the woman asked her smiling.
Kaltain tilted her head, drawing her brows, she asked, “…. Ebony?” her voice came deep.
“Yes. That’s what is written in here!” the woman replied in a friendly tone, pointing to the papers in her hands.
Kaltain didn’t understand what is going on.
‘I am not Ebony. Did they make a mistake?... wait! Who are they?’ kaltain’s mind filled with questions.
“… where I am?” kaltain hold her throat as her voice came weak and small.
“You are on our pack’s territory, in the medical department to be specific.” The woman replied as she checked the machines.
Taking a look around her. it made sense!
“...so… you are…” kaltain massaged her throat.
“a nurse! I thought it was obvious from my uniform.” The nurse informed as she holds her uniform’s hem and made a little spin.
Kaltain chuckled, then she coughs.
“don’t overwhelm yourself, you just wake up!” the nurse’s voice filled with concern.
“...ugh, when… since when?” kaltain managed
The nurse’s features became soft. “Since last Friday.” Her voice low.
Kaltain draw her brows. Why would the nurse say it like that! Shouldn’t she say yesterday?
It seems that the nurse understands what kaltain though. Because she cleared her throat before adding more.
“That was four days ago.” She avoided looking directly in kaltain’s eyes.
“...four…. four days!” panic and horror spread inside her. that’s can’t be! Why no one of her family searched for her?
Unconsciously, kaltain touched her face. The nurse’s eyes lit up and went to a drawer and brought a mirror to kaltain.
“Here.” The nurse offered as she handles the mirror to kaltain.
Kaltain smiled sadly at her and took the mirror. Looking at it, she frowned more.
‘I am pale. Too pale. My eyes are tired. s**t. My whole body is tired. I think that’s normal after all those days. But I am a were! Where is my super healing?’ kaltain sighed sadly.
“don’t worry! you will be fine soon. In no time you will get out and have fun.” The nurse hold kaltain’s hand, her voice calm and caring.
Kaltain smiled at the worrying nurse in front of her.
‘She must be in my age. Still, she acting like she is an old lady. Maybe that the reason why she did become a nurse in the first place.’
In her admiring the nurse, kaltain remembered something important.
“Who brought me here?” kaltain found a little strength in her voice this time.
“Ah. It was the next to be alpha.” The nurse answered.
“Who?” kaltain narrowed her eyes.
“Alpha Asher of course!” the nurse answered perplexed.
“Oh! You don’t know where are you!” after realizing the nurse shouted.
Kaltain’s cheeks became red.
The nurse smiled at her, “don’t worry you are in a good hand.” Remembering that the woman in front of her doesn’t know where she is, the nurse added. “Do you know who is he and which pack you are on now?” her question came soft and calming.
Kaltain nod.
The nurse smiled back at her.
The nurse checked the data then smiled to kaltain, “a few hours more, and you will be able to leave.”
Kaltain looked down at her hands. ‘He didn’t tell them who I am. Why? He sent me to the hospital as well!’ she clinched her hands.
Sniffing, she lifted her head, determent on what she will do.
Kaltain wanted to speak, but as she opened her mouth, the nurse interrupted her.
“If you are worry about you belongs don’t worry, we are not thieves!” the nurse chuckles. Still focused on the machines and not facing kaltain.
Kaltain felt guilty, she really was worried about her belongs. But that wasn’t all.
What if they looked into her personal data and know who is she? What will happen if it turned into scandal?
Seeing her reaction the nurse continued, “all your belongs are save, when you will leave, you will take them. Beside the future alpha has arranged a ride for you as well.” The nurse informed her.
“.. a ride?” kaltain murmured.
“Yes. He asked to take care of you. And that includes your data and sending you back.” The nurse replied in her flat voice.
Kaltain knew that something wasn’t right. Then it hit her. of course! Why would the future alpha take care of her and order hide her data. That must be worried, because it is!
That would explain the nurse tone. But what about Asher, after what she did, why?
Kaltain filled with confusion. Why Asher treated her like that while the reason for her to be in pain is because she rejected him!
“How did he find me?” kaltain wanted to know more about what Asher told them.
The nurse expressions became soft. She could sense kaltain’s helpless.
the nurse then told her that the future Alpha while walking in the forest, found her unconscious and brought her to the hospital and ordered to be carefully with her or they will be punished.
The nurse laughed and waved her hand joking and said “you are lucky, what would happen to you if he didn’t find you”
“So, he didn’t mention that I will be punished or something like that for trespassing?” kaltain asked in a deep voice.
“No, like I said. He ordered us to treat you will.” The nurse answered calmy.
Just as the nurse turned her head, she remembered something.
“Oh! I almost forget!” facing kaltain again, “the future alpha ordered us to not bothering you about why you are here.” The nurse told her.
Kaltain internally relaxed. How she was supposed to explain to them why a were from another pack doing on their territory. But then kaltain filled with confusion.
The confused kaltain asked “why?”
“Why what?” replied the young nurse.
“Why would he take care of me?” kaltain wobble. After all she had done. Still, he keeps surprising her.
The nurse smiled and said “because our future Alpha is a kind man”
then she looked at the lavender filed from the window and said “whoever his mate is, she would be the happiest woman ever!” her face suddenly fell “I hope she can make him laugh again,” she sighed. “Since these rumors started, he hadn’t smile”
“Rumors?” asked kaltain curiously.
“Some people say horrible things about our future Alpha- “the nurse didn’t continue as she was summoned to attend another patient and left Kaltain alone.
When kaltain was left alone, she remembered what Asher told her. suddenly her eyes became misty and her heart clinched.
‘He didn’t blame me. Or sit me up!’ kaltain yelled internally. ‘Did I wasted my only chance in being happy?’ kaltain started to question her actions.
‘No! no! I can’t trust him. I can’t be with him! I have duties. And he is a walking disaster. I am not like him! No! I am better. I deserve a better mate. If they knew that monster is my mate, I would be a joke!’ kaltain shouted.
‘Yeah! That’s the right thing to do. They are right, I can’t be with him!’ kaltain assured herself.
For unknow time, kaltain had been silence. Looking down, her face didn’t show any emotion.
then Kaltain started crying violently “what did I do” were the only words among her cries.
