“Margaret I don’t know why you are so obsessed with our son being with a girl, he is a grown a*s man who can choose whoever he wants and if he tells you that he is not yet ready to settle down let him be, everything is running swiftly and everything is going according to our plans, I don’t see the need for him to start rushing things and going about everything of having a woman in his life, he has you and his sister, and whenever his is ready, he will himself choose he wants, if you ask me about this, I don’t think what you are doing is right, give our son time and let him choose what he wants, I will tell you again, this is not the right thing to do, just count me out of this, I am not part of this scheme, is this the reason why you had Raquel travel all the way from England only for you to do with her, it won’t erase the fact that Victor is still the first born and the right heir to the company, I have other companies that she can run but you have instilled this idea in her mind and she is not going to back off from it, you know Raquel pretty well, she is a go-getter and you know it,” Andrew said and Margaret sighed.

She had just told her husband about her plan of luring their son into getting a wife or losing his heredity to his younger sister and they both know that Victor had been working hard for almost everything and there was no way he was going to just let his sister run the company, Margaret knew that his son would do anything to protect the family’s legacy ad that included everything ever of it means him having to do what his mother suggested and that was the plan.

“Honey you are just afraid of everything, this is just a way of making him get a wife, I am tired of these things going on media that my son Is gay and I know he is not, Victor is straight and all I am trying to do is to make him look normal.” She said defensively and Andrew sighed.

“I don’t know why this media keeps getting to you, on social medial people will talk and they will say anything for likes and comments and anything for money, but that should not make you rush or son into doing anything he doesn’t want to do, so who told you that being gay is not normal?” He questioned and Margaret exhaled sharply.

“I know what you are saying and I totally respect that, I respect the people who are gays and I have nothing against them, but I will tell you one thing though, there is no way my son, my only son and he son I took care of can be gay, there is no way until he tells me that himself and if you aren’t going to help, then I think I am going ahead with the plan, you sit here and enjoy the services that you like, but I am on my way to my son’s house, what do you think I should tell him once I get there?”

“Tell him I will meet him at the office tomorrow and pass my regards, but I will tell you one thing though honey, I am not part of this scheme and I don’t think what you are doing is the right thing, I have said my own.” He said and Margaret shrugged.

“You will miss everything, anyway, I will be on my way, Maria, please tell my driver to prepare my side, I will be out in a few minutes.” She said and walked upstairs to change, minutes later, she was changed and ready to leave, and she instructed her driver to take her to her son’s place.

Meanwhile, at Victor’s place, he was busy working on his computer while Raquel was busy on her phone, no one was talking to anyone anymore and just then, the doorbell rang and the house help went to open the door, it was Margaret.

“My God, what is taking you so long to open the door and look who is here, what are the two of you doing, the house is so calm you would think that no one is around, come on, what is going on?” She asked as she walked right into the living room.

“Hi Mom, you are finally here, we were just waiting for you, I had plans with Klaus and I thought it was respectful if I waited for my mother to come and talk before I went out I have a long day with your daughter here,” Victor said to his mom after closing his laptop and walking over to hug her, despite all the plans she had for him, he still respected his mother and had the utmost respect for her and she was still his mother whom he loves dearly.

“Why what is going on, did the two of you fight again?” She asked and Victor shrugged.

“Ask your daughter, she is laying there on the couch, Raquel, talk to Mom about what happened, she would like to hear what went down you know?” He said and Raquel sneered.

“Okay, it is not good for siblings to keep fighting; you are grownups for heaven’s sake, that is not what I expect from you two come on.” She said and Victor smiled.

“Mom there is nothing to worry about you know how childish Raquel can be, I am sure she will come around.” He said intentionally and that got Raquel so mad.

“Hey, don’t talk about me like I don’t exist, like I am not here and point of correction, I am not childish, maybe you should check on your attitude, it sucks, Mom you are welcome.” She said and got up from the couch, walked over to her mom and hugged her before she slumped on the couch next to her mother.

“Son, I am here to talk about something really important, I know you had plans and I would like to go through them as fast as I can then I will let you go have fun with your friend.” She started and Victor nodded even though he knew exactly what his mom wanted to talk about but did not want to act like he knew anything at all.

“Okay Mom, I am listening, what is it that you want to discuss with me that was so important until you had to drive to my place?” He asked obliviously.

“Well I don’t know how you are going to take this son but I think it is high time for you to find a wife, a girlfriend or a fiancée for that matter, I don’t like the way you are living right now son and if anyone asked me about all the rumours going on social media I will deny that you are my son, I have been thinking and I have come with a better plan for you to get yourself a girl in your life, or unless you are gay like the rumours have it, all you have to do is tell me if that is what you are.” She started and Victor chuckled and exhaled sharply then shook his head.

“Mom, I thought you knew me better than this, I didn’t expect to hear this from you mom, if I was gay then you would be the first person to know, so tell me, do you want me to have a girlfriend so all these rumours will stop or do you just want me to take a step ahead in my life, so which is which mom?”

“Both, I honestly hate it when I am out there with my friends and they keep asking me about the same thing, if it is true that my son is gay, I didn’t give birth to you for you to be a gay and despite that, your sister here brought her boyfriend over the last summer and she is about to get married now look at you, you are still here, all you think about is the company and nothing more out of the box, you are not growing any younger and neither is your father and I, so yes I am doing this for both reasons, first I don’t think I gave birth to a gay son and second I need grandchildren.” She said and Victor chuckled.

“This is funny mom, I thought you are better than this, and so is Dad into this too?”

“No your father isn’t because he still doesn’t know the pain I am going through out there, but he will come around, I am the one who wants this and I hope you consider my idea, and this is not funny at all.” She said and he cleared his throat before he spoke.

“Mom I understand your fear and everything but marriage is a personal decision to make, just like it is a personal decision for me to get myself a girlfriend, I don’t find it my priority and that is why I am not having any girl in my life right now mom, it is not my priority at the moment and I am not gay mom, I hope you are happy now and thanks knowing that there is someone in the family that still has my back.”

“It is not about whom you are Victor, it is about the legacy of the family, the same thing you have been trying to do but you have failed on one thing, giving me grandkids, that is what I want.” She replied and Victor sighed and then looked at his sister who only shrugged, it was like she was still supporting his mom.

“Of course, I knew she was into this too, Mom like I told you I will get myself a girl whenever I am ready, so what is your plan?”

“You are going to get a girl by the end of this month or I hook you up with a lady of my choice, or you will step down from running the family’s companies and let your sister Raquel do the job, so the choice is your honey.” She said and Victor laughed.

“I knew it, Mom, I knew it, is the same reason why you had Raquel travel from England so that she could take over me that is not fair, it is like you are blackmailing me.”

“Yes you can call it that son, this is for your good and trust me you will thank me later for this, I know you will.”

“Whatever Mom, I never thought that you two will make such a scheme to get back at me, you two can have the house to yourselves, and please you two might not even know the kind of women I am into so please I will find a girl by myself, and for your information Raquel, you will never take after me with this scheme, I am sorry to disappoint you and mom, thanks for stopping by, I am hoping by the time I come back you two will be long gone, I don’t want to see the two of you in my house.” He said and stood up from his seat.

“Are you seriously sending me away from your house Victor?”

“Yes Mom, please with your daughter.” He said and took his car keys on the table and walked out of the house.

“He seriously didn’t just kick us out of the house; did you tell him anything aside from what I talked to him about?”

“I told him he can be with Penelope, you know my friend?”

“You already screed things up, listen here Raquel, I know this is personal for you but don’t make it too personal you might lose your brother in the process, be careful, I will be on my way.” She said and kissed her on the forehead before she walked out of the house and Raquel sighed.
