2. Mate.

Penelope's POV

Kyle and I walked into the forest and hide behind the tree before removing our clothes. I allowed my wolf to take over me and soon I felt the familiar c***k in my bones and I was on my four paws.

Now I was shifted from my human form to my white wolf and I really loved it. My wolf was completely white with some small patches of black in my paws and ears. My eyes were also black and I believed that I was most beautiful wolf; at least this was what many other pack members had told me.

Now it didn't hurt even a bit when I shifted but when I had first shifted at the age of sixteen it had pained like a b***h. I was nearly on the bed rest for five days due to the drain of my energy and the worst part was that my mom wasn't there beside me but Luna was to look after me and console me throughout all the changes which my body was facing.

I shook my face to remove off the depressing thoughts and walked toward where Kyle was waiting for me in his brown wolf.

'Want to have a race till the border?' Kyle mind linked me.

'Hell Yeah,' I wolfishly grinned before dashing deep inside the woods toward the forest. 'I am sure that I am going to beat you'

It was common in-between Kyle and me to race where most of the time I won from him and that too with a huge margin and even without applying any extra force. We both loved to race in the woods. We loved when our paws hit into the forest and how fast air rushed pass my fur making my wolf giddy and happy. My wolf loved to spend most of her time in nature like me.

I splashed in the puddle of wet soil splashing the mud all over me and Kyle who was nearly behind me. Kyle growled in mind link while I chuckled before again picking up my pace and within twenty minutes we were by the border of our pack from where the pack members were about to come.

The pups who had gone to the sophisticated school were returning today which included Axel, Joshua, Natasha, and every other member, which were in whole twenty-eight and Kyle and I were given the task to check upon them before allowing them in. The security of our pack was very high and we couldn't even allow Axel who was Alpha without any check.

'Want to wash and drink water before they arrive?' Kyle mind linked me once he was standing beside me.

'Sure'

We both walked toward the river in the woods where I placed my clothes on the shore before I walked a little deep in the river and washed off the mud from my white fur and drink some water before stepping out from the river and wriggled my face to shed off all the water from my fur.

Once Kyle had also drunk the water, I picked up my clothes in my mouth and walked toward the border from where we heard the howl of wolves and we knew that everyone was here and true to our expectation when we arrived many she-wolves were already shifting.

I also shifted to human form and rushed toward Natasha and wrapped my arms around her. Maybe I didn't have a good relation with Natasha as she was a b***h but still, I hugged her, at last, she was my sister. I didn't even care that I was nude and that was the reason Natasha pushed me back rather rudely.

"Leave me you gross," Natasha looked at me with disgust and I glared at her before straightening myself and wore my clothes.

We werewolves were not affected by our nudity as it was always a part of our life and same was today where I didn't shy away when everyone was watching me. Nearly every warrior who got training with me had watched me nude so my nudity affected me no more.

"Finally you both arrived. I was waiting for you from so long," Natasha fanned her face arrogantly making me roll my eyes. She was late and here she was showing her attitude on us. "Now be fast sister and allow us in."

"By the way Natasha your attitude had reached a very high level as if you are the queen of werewolf kingdom" Kyle mocked making me chuckle.

"Not queen but Luna," Natasha raised her head rather arrogantly. "I have found my mate and he is Axel only."

Mine and Kyle's eye widen hearing her and we looked at her with open mouth, well aware that she was now our Luna and was going to torture the hell out of us.

My wolf started to pace in my mind and I thought that the reason was bowing to Natasha which was not acceptable to her as she had always hated Natasha. For both of us, Natasha was a b***h who didn't deserve bowing our head in her direction.

"By the way where is Axel and others?" Kyle asked cutting the tension in my body and I also got alert and looked around to find them absent.

"Axel got some meeting with Alpha of the neighboring pack so all he-wolf will be arriving late," Natasha shrugged. "Now will you please allow me in as I am feeling hot," she again fanned herself as if it was really hot when the temperature wasn't so high and all thanks to tress which kept our environment cool.

'Kyle let's start entering them' I mind linked him before we both started to do all the formalities and entered them where Natasha and her friend kept bickering for us to hurry up making me roll my eyes.

Once they all were entered, we shifted and started to run toward the pack house, me leading everyone as I was in a hurry to be away from Natasha as fast as possible. As soon as pack house came into my sight, I shifted back in human form and wore my clothes and dashed toward dad and Alpha, Axel's father who was waiting for us.

"Dad have you seen how I reached before everyone," I boasted. "Everyone is so slow especially Kyle."

Dad chuckled hearing me and patted on my back proudly. It felt so good to know that my dad was proud of me, no matter what.

"You are really very strong junior Beta," Alpha, father of Axel also praised me and I grinned in his way before hearing sounds of shifting and I knew that everyone was here. So alpha and dad also became alerted and welcome very she-wolf in our pack.

"Here is my daughter," I clenched my fist hearing my mom who lovingly rushed out of the house and wrapped her arms around Natasha, pouring her all love on her which I had always missed.

I took a deep calm breath to control myself seeing my two-faced mom and walked inside the pack house and helped Luna with the dinner which she had specially planned for her son, where she again kept singing how Axel could be my mate. If only she knew.

In the evening, Kyle was the one who visited the border and entered all of the-wolf while I decided to lag behind in the kitchen well aware of the clatter which followed and how a festival was taking place in the backside of pack house to welcome Axel who was present alpha.

"What are you doing inside all alone?" Kyle asked and raised a brow before pulling me outside in the garden. "You know everyone is celebrating and is missing you. Moreover, Natasha was asking for you to boast about herself that now she is going to be a Luna," he scoffed making me roll my eyes when I smelt something.

"Do you smell it?" I asked Kyle in puzzlement.

"Smell what?" Kyle twitched his brows in confusion and took a long whiff of air before shrugging in no.

I again took a breath and again got hit my mouthwatering smell of sandalwood. It was the most intoxicating smell which I had ever smelt.

'This is the smell of our mate' my wolf purred and huge smile brighten on my lips.

"Its mate's," I murmured and I knew Kyle heard me due to his wolf power that started to run after me who was following the scent to meet her mate. Finally, my mate was here who was going to love me.

Finally, I reached near the person who was my mate but my eyes widen in shock and my smile vanished seeing who my mate was.

Axel!!

Mate!!

I lost all my control over my wolf when I noticed how he was hugging Natasha when I was his mate.

"Mate," I growled before shifting to my wolf and attacking the person in front of me.
