Entangled Hearts

Chapter 2

Despite of our quarrel last night I still wake up in the morning and prepare his breakfast. I prepared the ingredients first, pancake mix, eggs, and milk.

"Good morning, I'm sorry last night." I gave him a plate of pancake which has a lettering of: 'I'm sorry :('

He glanced the plate and said: "Well, apology accepted, and I''m sorry too." He kissed my forehead "Promise me not to bring it again until we're ready, okay?"

"Promise Hubbyy!" I cheerfully said.

"Your pancakes isn't black so I think it's edible." He said teasing me.

"And because of that I prepared a lunch box just for you, make sure you will eat everything in there because I really put my effort just to make it!" then I give him his lunce box.

Well it was a routine for me, I always give him some pack lunch.

"Just an effort?" he silly ask while holding his lunch box.

"Of course I made it with all my love! Happy?"

"Hmmmm" he give me a stare for a moment and said: "this should be edible Mrs. Vaughan." After taking it he left me.

As long as he always bring his food with him I will never stop cooking for him.

For me it is a sign that I have a chance on him, that we have a chance to be a happy married couple.

After he left I also do my choires and my business.

I worked as Florist on my own flower shop, called Buds of Happiness.

After I graduated college I got married at the age of 23, now I'm living my life to the fullest. My family owned several farms in the country and we distribute farm fresh goods all over the world.

"Ms. Sav, we have a sudden order of flowers for a mini event. It is for rush because the shop they contacted suddenly cancelled and they need the flowers as soon as possible." Monica hurriedly asked me, she is my assistant on this shop.

"Sure, accept the order. We will complete it after 30 minutes please let them advised."

"Copy that Ms. Sav."

This shop was my life. Aside from Calix most of my time were spent here, this is my hobby and the thing I loved the most.

"Well done, Monica tell them that it was ready for delivering. Contact a courrier now so it will be shipped out."

"Yes Ms. Sav. Will do it." She instantly went to the counter and contact a courrier service.

*ring

"Hey Savvyy wanna grab some coffee later for lunch!" It was Quenie my best friend s***h my partner in crime. "Sure Quenie let's meet later."

Time really quick passed by we are done packing the last order for morning's order.

"Monica I just ordered your lunch through online, it will be here in a minute."

"Thanks Mrs. Vaughan."

"And oh, I will be out for a while and came back later or not. It depends on my mood."

"Okay Mrs. Vaughan rest assure I will take care of the shop. Take care, bye!"

Ahhh being called as Mrs. Vaughan was the sweetest thing I have ever heard.

I get my phone and texted Queenie that I'm on my way to the coffee shop. I put it on my bag and went out.

I arrived at the café and saw Queenie waiting for me. When I came, all eyes are on me. After all, I'm used to being looked at, I have a beautiful body and a beautiful face. Who wouldn't look at me, right?

I waved at Queenie ajd she waves back.

"Hey girl, have a seat." She greeted me. I sit next to her "So what's the plan?" she asked.

"Nothing as usual. Maybe just to do my comfort things."

"You mean we will spend money later?"

"Absolutely, what else should I do instead of shopping, besides Calix will come home late tonight."

"Your husband seems to went home very late."

"He is busy with work lately." I explained to her. There's just so much going on in the company that he has so much to do.

"Or he is busy with someone else." she added.

"What do you mean?" I raised my eyebrow to her "Are you accusing that he is cheating on me with another woman?"

"I didn't say that, that came from you."

"I know that he is busy with work, do not start a fighr with me Queenie, you are ruining my mood."

"I'm just saying, fine let's just order okay?" I nod at her. "Waiter!" she shouted

A young woman approached us and asked for our order

"I would like to order Honey Almond Milk Flat White and a stawberry shortcake."

"I'll have Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and ahm- blueberry cheesecake."

After we ate, we went to the mall and went to designer clothes, bags and shoes. I just swipe my cards and everything is okay.This is my life, I live so fine. What I want, I absolutely get it whether it is a thing or even a man. I would do everything to just have it.

While we were shopping, we bought cold drinks, I ordered iced coffee matcha latte and Queenie ordered mocha frappuccino.

"You know Sav, we should make this regular shopping." Queenie said excitedly

"Of course!" I happily agreed at least it eased my stress.

"I should continue doing what I'm doing when I'm still single!"

"You are right, besides you and Calix don't have a baby yet, then we should go to a club later!" Queenie added. I think she's the girl I've seen who is so free to act.

Baby? I remember Calix and I's main problem again. I was labeled as infertile because after 2 years of being married to him I'm still not yet pregnant.

"All right!" Without hesitation I agree to her. "Let's enjoy and let's party!" I also added.

My joy suddenly disappeared when I saw the form of a woman I knew very well.

"Katrina?" I whispered

"Huh? What? Where?" Queenie asked in confusion as if looking for the woman she saw.

I ran to chase after the girl I saw, I think it was her, I couldn't be wrong. She's wearing office attire, does she work near here? That question really bothers me. Is she really back?

While I was chasing her, I suddenly lost her. I looked everywhere to see him again. And then I saw her.

"Katrina!" I came closer and pulled him to see if it was her.

"What the hell miss, who are you?" The girl looked at me angrily

"You're not Katrina!" I said in disappointment

"I am not so let me go!" She removed my hand from her shoulder and left.

I know it's her, I can't be wrong.

"What Savinna, was it her?" Queenie asked tiredly because she's running after me.

"No it wasn't her, maybe I'm just hallucinating."

"Okay, so let's go. Let's not waste our time here it's almost getting night come on!"

We just left the mall and went to the club.
