The Gift

Star's POV

I hadn't known how long I slept or if what awaits me out this door is gonna help me or kill me. I can only hear what the Goddess said Rise up and I have a gift for you. It just kept repeating in my head over and over. As I approach the door I felt a presence who could it be. I hear a sigh from the other side. At that moment I swung open the door and there Brandon stood. He gazed at me. He could feel that something was different. I asked, "What did you want". He looked at me weird and said today is my birthday. I looked at him shocked, I had slept two whole days and didn't even know. He said that he told everyone I was sick and needed rest. So no one will freak out. I thanked him. Before I could take a step to pass him he blurted out. "I found this box and hadn't opened it." I looked down at the box he held in his hands. To my surprise I forgot about the present and why I was heading to his room in the first place the night that he got caught. 

I said with no heart in my voice. "You can throw it away, It doesn't matter anymore to me.". I could see his eyes widen as I spoke. 

"Star please rethink everything..." he was cut off. "I already put enough thought into what has happened. I will have a meeting today with the rest of the pack and from there you will know my answer." As I looked down again at the box and told him to open it. I pushed past him and left. 

Brandon's POV

When I woke up I felt like needles had pricked me everywhere. The bond that I wished for my whole life had ended all because I fell for someone else. I didn't know what the bond could hold for me but the pain I feel now can never be as much pain as she had to deal with.  When I left my room I found a box in the corner of my doorway. I picked it up and on the note, it said To My Future Alpha Can't-Wait To Complete Our Bond On Your Birthday! My eyes widen as I read it. I tugged at my heart. I was mad and thought back, she would never give me the time of day talking about waiting till we both have the mate bond. Yet being a male it was harder than she said. When she became too busy Chrissy started to flirt and give little s****l hints. At first, it was little here and their things. Making out different places so we wouldn't get caught. I fell in love with her. She was wild and she wasn't like that when we were kids. I didn't know what changed her but the clothing she was wearing got me heated. A week before the incident we had s*x I lost my virginity to her and that's when I knew I wanted to be hers and hers alone. I promised her that when I became Alpha I would reject Star and make Chrissy my Luna. So she would be cherished by all and never felt like she was in the shadow of Star's light. Yet Chrissy didn't want to wait anymore to have me. She wanted s*x now and well it led to that. When Star pulled Chrissy off I thought it was hot seeing two females fight for me. Yet when Star kept going I had to stop before she killed my beloved Chrissy. When I reached her door we exchange a few words before brushing past me she says " Open It!" with a chuckle that follows. 

There was a note as I open the note it says. "Hello My Alpha, today I gift you this pocket watch to remember how important time is to me. I had been so busy that I wasn't able to spend time with you. So tonight I will give you my time, my love, my virginity, and mark. I know you will be a strong Alpha. I know I had some days that I felt sick and was hurting and during those times I thought of you and how much I wish you were with me. When I got better you would make me feel special and for that, I can never thank you. -With love Your Luna Star". I removed the note and there was a beautiful vintage pocket watched that had an engraving on it. My time with you is never endless. I always thought she just thought being Luna was everything and yet she was preparing to be a Luna so I can be her Alpha and I failed her. Not only that the days she was hurting and feeling sick I was the reason for that. I didn't know that the bond could do that to her if I hadn't turned 18 yet. How stupid could I be and now I will lose everything. I have to get her back. I have to make up with her. 

Star's POV

As I passed by him I chuckled for him to open it. After all, the training was for him. Instead of us just combining the packs into one I wanted to rule my own and so I worked hard to do so. And for what my mate and my best friend to hurt me nearly killing me. Today I am a new woman. As I leave the Packhouse I looked for My father's beta once I found him he bowed and asked:" How are you feeling Luna, and what can I do for you?". I smiled at him and said, "I feel reborn can you gather everyone I have things that needed to be said.". With that, he bowed and walked away. 

When the whole pack gathered. I called upon my friends Brandon and Chrissy. I see them slowly making their way to me as all eyes and whispers go throughout the member. It looks like word got out fast. I look upon my pack "Hello my fellow pack members, I wanted you to know that your Luna is feeling much better and is reborn. Today I have here is my mate and my best friend. The day I fell sick was the day I caught them together making love. (gasped crossed the members and glares at the two bodies that stood close by me) Now as punishment I had rejected my mate (members' eyes widen) I also had set both to live in the lower ranks housing and stripped them of their titles. Yet I feel that is too easy on them. I thought of banishing, but what type of Luna would I be. Instead, I am too through a party I will call all pack members here and available men. From there I will see if the Goddess will grant me a new Alpha. We will sing and dance in honor of our Moon Goddess. These two will not be stripped of their title nor move out of the packhouse. Instead, I want to give them what they want and that's each other. (Brandon's and Chrissy's eyes widen in regret and guilt) So Members of the Pack lets us not hang on to anger but rejoice in those who truly love us. Everyone cheered and started to get things prepared for today's event. 

"Brandon my rejected mate I need you to summon the elders and the Royal packs, If the Goddess has someone out there for me I want to find him. Help me it's the least you can do." Brandon's eyes searched mine "Luna Star can I not makeup what I did and be your Alpha" As I was about to turn I stopped and looked at both of them. " I had loved you both, I lost everything, and only had you, I found my mate but my mate didn't love me and my best friend hurt me and lied to me. Yall both did. I deserve happiness. For that, once things fall into play you will get what's yours." I turned around with a smirk on my face as I saw what true shock looked like. Was I out to get revenge or was I out for love? I went back to the packhouse to start the process of the things to come. 

When I got to my room after many phone calls and many ordering people around I was tired. I reached my bed and felt like I ran miles upon miles. I was so thirsty and it was so hot in my room. I jokingly called out for water to come for and then the sink and tub faucet turned on. Which scared me when I went to check who was in my room and no one answered. When I sighed and thought maybe plumbing problem. It was still so hot. I said out loud I need to open my windows for some air and in an instant, the windows blew open and a gust of dust and leaves blew into my room. What the hell is going. That's when it hit me. I called upon water and the faucets turned on I called upon cold air and a gust of wind blew in. The Goddess gifted me with powers but why and what else did she do to me. 

Unknown POV

As I sat at my desk signing paperwork I felt it. I felt this jolt hit me waking up my inner wolf. I looked up as there was a knock at my door. "Alpha, we have been summoning for a party to Luna Star of the Blood Moon Pack. She is in search of her mate. So she is calling out to all the packs for available members." said his Beta. "Reject her invitation, she is desperate and a Luna like that is a stupid Luna indeed," said the Unknown Alpha. "Yes, my Alpha" as the Beta goes out the door. Just then another shock hits and a small soft voice echo into the Alpha's ear. "You must go". Right as the Beta was out the door the Unknown Alpha yells to him "Stop I take back my request We will set out to meet this Luna Star". "Yes Alpha" as the Beta closed the door. "Who's voice was that and what is this feeling I'm having", the unknown Alpha thought to himself.
