I would have never thought that my life would take such a huge turn in just a blink of an eye. I was Joy Rider, a successful athlete on my way to meet my brother. Whom I had not seen in three years because I was bound by a contract. I boarded the plane and waited impatiently for the time to pass. The flight was supposed to land at my destination in 14 hours, Luckily my only friend had handed me a book before my flight. She knew how much I liked to read books so she gave me one of her favorites, A hardcover pink book with the words “To Whom I Belong.” engraved into it with golden color. I began to read it as soon as the flight took off. The story revolved around a girl named  Saorsa Epione, Just like her name “Saorsa “ (meaning: Freedom, Liberty), She was a free soul with a kind heart. And Epione (meaning:  Goddesses who soothe the pain) was a cure to the wounds of the main characters of the book.  The story had three main leads. A Psycho Crown Prince named “Vasilias Nerova”, The Brave War Hero named “Irosa Abraham”, the second prince of the kingdom and heir to the Dukedom of Abraham, and last but not least a two-faced Mage named “Symon Kizashi”.  Saorsa was the daughter of a minor merchant, but she got selected as a candidate for the next Crown Princess. Her family was overwhelmed by the fact that they would be able to become nobility if their daughter became the Crown Princess so they happily sent their daughter to the Palace. But Saorsa was a free soul, she didn’t like the closed walls of the Palace so she would often slip away from the castle and enjoy her life for as long as she could. Once on a bright sunny day when Saorsa was wandering the thick forest to find some medicinal herbs; she comes across a man who is about to kill an innocent girl. Soar Feels like the girl is wronged and she saves her by standing in between the guy and the girl. Though she is scared; she still acts unfazed. The guy under the hood is taken aback by the courage of the girl because she is the first person who has ever dared to stand up against him. Saorsa doesn’t know the identity of the guy she has meddled with. Turns out that he is no one other than the War Hero Iroas himself. She leaves quite an impression on Iroas who then looks into her to find that she is about to be the wife of his brother the crown prince.  Iroas despises Vasilias the most because of the childhood trauma and decides to take Saorsa from him. So on the day of the War Hero’s official return to the country, the Emperor arranges a banquet in which all the candidates of the Crown Princesses are present. Naturally, Saorsa too attended the banquet. When the Emperor asks the war hero for what he desires to have as a prize for his outstanding services for the nation. He asks the Emperor for the hand in marriage of the 41st candidate, that is Arcane. He deliberately does not take the name of the 40th candidate because he knows that the prince will do anything to take her away from him. Iroas didn’t want Vasilias’s attention to fall on Saorsa, the girl that he wanted to marry.  His plan goes on flawlessly and Vasilias decides to take away the bride he has chosen. He asks the emperor to bestove the 41st concubine to him.  Arcane’s happiness has no bounds when she thinks that she is finally receiving love that she has always wanted, but in reality, her life is just being played with just to save someone else. The Emperor allows the Prince to get engaged to Arcane and announces her the next Crown Princess. But not long after that Vasilias realizes that he has been played with and he finds Saorsa, whom he falls for at first glance. He decides to break off his engagement with Arcane.  The news of her engagement getting annulled shatters Arcane that makes her furious and she decides to fight back by killing Saorsa. She poisons Saorsa.  When the news of this reaches the Crown Prince, he cuts off Arcan's both hands joint by joint but doesn’t kill her because that could lead to a war. This is where the Mage comes in, He who has already given his heart to Saorsa long ago is grieved at the sight of his love lying helplessly. His hatred boils up and he decides to avenge her. As a mage, he tells the Iroas that the only way for Saorsa to wake up is by burning the culprit in the bit of misery, though this is just a lie. Iroas, who is desperately trying to wake her up, decides to end Arcane. He doesn’t give it a second thought and stabs Arcane countless times until her body is chipped into an unrecognizable state, he then burns her in the pit of misery. The mage is successful in bringing Saorsa back to life. ‘ Just when she wakes up the Crown Prince proposes to her, and she accepts the proposal. Iroas is heartbroken and so is the Mage but they decide to sacrifice their love for her happiness. But on the night of the marriage the Crown Prince is found dead in his chambers and the Emperor has been poisoned. The country is left f without a king, Iroas steps forward and takes a hold of the kingdom, and marries Saorsa  Their life is going smoothly until the King of Ridavell attacks the country as revenge for killing their princess. The war hero goes off to fight in the war and right then Saorsais kidnapped. The war hero is able to win the war but he loses Saorsa, the love of his life, so he jumps off a cliff and ends his life. Many years later Saorsa returns to the kingdom that has fallen into the ruins and decides to build it up again, and the mage helps her become a successful empress and he is alongside her as the Emperor. While reading the story I could feel that the story was unjust, and that the concept of the story was to keep the female lead happy at the cost of anyone’s life. I felt hurt for Arcane, who only wanted love and attention but she ended with such pain. I cried when I read about Arcane being killed. I could feel my hatred boil up for the war hero “Iroas Abraham” who was a selfish man. I hated the mage “Symon Kizashi '' who thought he could decide someone’s future with his words, and I started to despise the crown prince “Vasilias Nerova” who abandoned her for another woman. And while reading the book the time flew by just like that. I hated the story to the bones so I threw the book to the side and picked up my bag and went straight to my hotel. The story of Arcan still dancing in my head, I could relate to her so much, I had led all my life like a puppet, and just like her I wanted to be free and not a dancing doll that anybody could use however they wanted.  The door of my hotel room was knocked a few times. I opened the door to see a lady pulling a trolley. My food had arrived so I held the door for her so she could take the trolley in. I ate in silence, I always did that, I had no one to eat with, ever since my brother was hospitalized I was left alone. I was still pulled away into my memories when I received a message. It was a video clip. And that was when I felt my muscles spasm, my windpipe started to constrict and my breath started to shorten. I was horrified.  “Hope you like the video! I especially made it for you.”  It was Daisy’s voice, I saw my brother's body trembling as he desperately breathed in heavily. The moment I saw life going sucked out of him, I too felt the same, I couldn't move. The phone slipped out of my hand and a sharp pain surged through my body. I was paralyzed, I fell on my knees and twitched in pain. Painful cries escaped my lips.  “I hope you have eaten the food I prepared for you, I hope you enjoyed your last poisoned meal” She cackled at the end, “Nobody says no to me...I won your life,” With these cruel words my pain slowly numbed my body. The thought of me being a puppet danced in my head, I was so useless that I couldn't save the things precious to me. I desperately wanted to live once more...I wanted a chance again because it was unfair! I wished to have a family...I wished to have someone that loved me, I wanted to know how it felt to be loved. And I can bet my life on the fact that Arcane too wished for the same...in the last moment of her life when she was ruthlessly stabbed to death...she too wished to be loved and she too wanted another chance.  And just like that, I got another chance to live like Arcane LAchtara. The girl whose name gave out a feeling of sorrow. Arcane (Meaning: Understood by a few) And Lachtara (Meaning : Longing)
